We bought the universal to replace our old remote from the PS3 and our TV remote as well. However, while it syncs beautifully with the PS4 when using as a Blu-Ray player, the remote did not sync properly with our older Sony Bravia TV. Disappointed that one Sony product can't talk to another, but fortunately our old TV remote still works. Will continue to search Internet for fix.

My boyfriend wanted this remote for his PS4 ever since he first purchased the system. The normal controller is annoying to use when watching DVD/Blu-Ray movies and this is such a convenient tool to reach the PS4 from across the room and have the device respond quickly.

I needed a BluRay remote for my PS4 & this one was available at a great price; it was pretty easy to set up/program and it works well; only con is that it tends to time out, so you have to wake it up if you need to pause a film about an hour in. Other than that well worth the price. I was really happy with this item.

This remote is basic, but is much better than using the hand controller . I use it when watching blue ray movies on my PS4.

I have had the controller for a short time so I have not really had a chance to put it through its paces. So Far so good.

Makes it so simple to use you PS4 as your primary media device instead of using a controller and tv remote!

Remote is very handy when you are not playing games and use your PS4 for media. Didnt work for every application though.

I like the convenience of having the remote as opposed to having use a controller when I want to watch Netflix, Hulu, or a DVD. It takes batteries, so there is no charging involved, so it can stay by the couch instead of having to be plugged into the console. Also, its very easy to program thanks to the "control HDMI" feature. Once enabled, the remote can control the TV set the ps4 is plugged into. No codes to enter, no special steps to follow.

Quite an awesome controller and about time Sony made one of the PS4. We've been awaiting the news of them making one ever since the PS4 came out two years ago. If you play BluRays, DVD's, or just streaming tv, you need this. ..and really not a bad price at all.

No complaints as far as this PS4 remote goes. Much easier than using the PS4 game remote to control the Blu Ray player.

the only thing i notice that after you did not use it for a while you need to touch 2 buttons to activate connection

Although once in awhile, I have to reprogram the remote to my PS4, which is not hard at all, I had no problem programming it to my tv and sound bar. Works awesome. Nice to have replaced 2 remotes and a controller to just one remote.

Works on my PS4 and on my TV all you have to do is press a button and you can control both. I had to try a few codes to program the TV before all the functions worked and the automatic detect was alright. Once I figured it out though it was wonderful.

A much needed remote for the PS4! Works quite well. Easy to connect to my system. I'm very happy with the device.

Pairs easily with PS4. Connected with TV. Cons: Unable to figure out how to setup access to menu/ TV settings.

I had a similar item for my PS3, when I got my PS4 nothing like this was available. I purchased an off brand remote (maybe the best buy brand) it was terrible. When I noticed this item while walking around best buy, I had to buy it. It works great!

Great remote for the PS4, just wished some features seemed more universal for the maneuvering around the apps.

This remote does as intended, works well with the ps4 and you can easily program the tv to work with it as well

Works just as you would expect it to, however setup can be a little tricky as the instructions don't match the screen prompts, but it wasn't inherently difficult to figure out. Only downside is if you have more than one PS4, this is a Bluetooth remote so it can only be programmed to one system.
