Works great! Easy to use and intelligently designed so cleaning all filters down to a removable bottom tray. This is probably as close to you can get for a real at home automatic latte machine.
The touch control is a bit quirky at first but once you learn how to use it, and the cycles it powers through, it is such a quick and easy machine.
It does an auto clean every power on and this can be unexpected if you just plug it in, but it becomes helpful if you use it frequently.
Word to the wise, the milk froth is not what I expected, coming from a nespresso, but it definitely tastes more natural than the nespressos frother.

So easy to use and a consistently great cup of joe. There is not much bad I can say about this unit. There is a learning curve for the machine. What I mean by that is the coffee gets better the more it is used. The first couple drinks are not that good and watery. But within a couple days wow. We are a couple weeks into using it and we are not disappointed. The milk storage is nice. Just put in fridge and use again. Easy to clean.
The only negative is it can be confusing on the 1X and 2X. The red dot is on the wrong side so it looks like it is set for 2X when it is actually 1X by default and 2X must be selected each time. Maybe there is a way to set it to always be 2X but I haven't intuitively found it if there is.
If it is not strong enough just add another shot of espresso and BAM!
It is a lot of money for a coffee machine but you will pay less over time and have much better coffee than those KCup things.

I’m very very happy with this.
I researched several brands.
And different models of this product.
This has it all with a reasonable price.
It truly is Fully Automatic
which is what I wanted.
I’m not real savvy setting things up and this was very user friendly. Took be a bit to figure out how to activate the water filter.
It super easy to use and clean out.
A symbol lights up when it’s time to rinse it out.
Really it couldn’t be easier.
And the pieces move and click very easily.
The frother is just amazing. It really does a supreme job. It attaches and detaches super easily and fits perfect in a space on my fridge wall. I don’t like the lid to it , which doesn’t really click on. . it would be my only comapint. It hasn’t fallen off. But it’s just not on there good.
I’ve been using an almond milk, cashew milk and coconut milk in it. They all work perfect.
I followed recommendations from others on brewing and tossing the first 7-8 cups as it regulates to everything.
I’ve not used the decaf little seperate area yet , but I will when the weather changes. It’s a feature I really liked when comparing.
Also , it was sitting in my cart and when I would go to visit it , finally it was marked down from 799 to 699. So I pulled the trigger. It was next day free shipping.
Super happy with it.

First, I would like to say this is a great espresso machine. This makes great coffee. It will take a little time for the machine to adjust but just give it time. I mainly got this for my wife, as she loves coffee, but I found myself getting excited to make a cup. We used the Lavazza Gran creme beans and I loved them so much I ordered another bag.
Now for the negative. After about a week's use, the grinder broke. I noticed when it was grinding the beans it sounded differently. Almost like a vacuum. I checked the drip tray and found little white flakes and a couple of bigger pieces. It appeared to be the ceramic material of the grinder. This machine does come with a 2 year warranty but since I was still in the return window I decided to do an exchange with Bestbuy.
Bestbuy made the process extremely easy. This is a great espresso maker but the longevity is in question. Maybe I got a bad one.

I got hooked on a super automatic espresso machine while visiting family in Norway. I was determined to get one for our house and spent the better part of a year trying to figure out which one.
I looked at MANY brands, and many brands that were $1,000-2,500 more than this machine. I was enamored. Shiny, touch screens, large hoppers, etc. Then it hit me, if the quality of the product coming out is the SAME as the more expensive machines, why do I care whether or not it has a touch screen or the other fancy schmancy things?
I don't. My wife and I love this, it has kept us caffeinated and sane throughout COVID. No more fighting over who has to get out of bed to make coffee. No more going to the big chains to get a latte. Putting chocolate milk in the frothing mechanism makes some pretty legit hot cocoa for kids as well.
Worried about time? Cleaning? Etc?
Cleaning:
I clean it once a week, takes about 5-7 minutes to wipe out, rinse out the parts and so on. I let air dry over night. It is SUPER easy to take apart and put back together. Actually, I am not sure you can say we take it apart as it is one entire pieces that slides out and slides back in. Cleaning is a breeze. Almost too easy sometimes that I feel guilty that the machine only cost 800.
Time:
I have timed many of cups of coffee. Holding my newborn in one arm, I push the on button. It takes about 2 minutes to cycle on. From there, you select what you are looking for. If you want a single cup of coffee regardless of strength it will take about 1 minute - 2 minutes to make. If you want a double (my go to) is takes between 2 minutes and three minutes to make. It is super slick to use and the on demand feature means no more wasting a half pot of coffee that was made late morning.
The only negative I can see is you have to experiment with beans. We finally found some great beans from costco that are on point. There are also some niche shops that sell amazing beans as well. Do your research on beans because they will definitely matter.
Overall, I could not be happier with this machine. Do not spend the additional money buying a more expensive one unless you simply feel like lighting cash on fire and tossing out the window.
I will end with a warning: It makes such good coffee, latte's, and other drinks you will definitely find yourself over caffeinated and your friends wont want to leave since you will undoubtedly have the best coffee of any house in town.

I love this machine. It's easy to use, requires minimal maintenance and makes great coffee. It was really easy to unbox as well with some nice touches to help.
The system is customizable, so you can adjust your largest setting. It let me make the largest cappuccino to fill my regular cup.
I tried a couple different beans so far, and both have tasted great. If I need an extra boost, I add an extra shot. It takes about 45 seconds to warm up, and it takes about a minute and a half to brew a cappuccino.
The LatteGo really makes making milk mixed drinks super easy. Cleaning it is really quick -- take the LatteGo off, rinse, and you're done. The way it froths is ingenuous. Making a couple cups a day, I have to empty excess water every 2-3 days, which means pulling out the tray and emptying the water and the coffee grounds.
The water filter is a nice touch as well. We'll see if it lives up to the claim of eliminating the need for de-scaling for a much longer period (5000 cups apparently, at 2 cups a day, should take me almost 7 years!). Note that the filter only last for about 500-600 cups, so you'll need to replace them periodically. They seem to average about $20 a piece. Comes with a test strip to measure the hardness of your water.
I can try different beans and have flexibility to change my drink style whenever I want without much effort is nice. As much as the coffee from my old pod systems were pretty good, this machine brings coffee to another level. I never owned an automatic espresso machine before, but I'm very happy with my first.

Review from a coffee lover

Fair warning: I'm a bit of a coffee snob, if you couldn't tell by reviewing a $800 coffee maker. If you're looking to replace a certain coffee chain, there are a couple things to know: first, if you're using that chain as your gauge for great coffee, you've been missing out. Second, if you know how good the coffee is at Italian rest areas and expect this to be the same quality, you may be disappointed, but not at the level you'd expect without having jet lag. Short version: it makes a really good cup of coffee and easily. It is completely automatic. Fill the hopper with beans, fill the water tank, select the type of coffee you want (fill the milk container if you want steamed milk), and hit start. A couple minutes later, you have a delicious cup of coffee. You empty the used coffee when the bin fills up, fill up the beans and water when they get low, replace the filter once and a while, and deep clean it weekly in the dishwasher and that's about all.
If you like good coffee and like the idea of an instant coffee maker without having all the waste (on top of it really not being good coffee, but remember that I'm a snob), this is the maker for you. 10/10

I have owned this machine for over a year now and its still amazing. No problems or malfunctions in almost a year and a half of ownership. I exclusively use Koa Coffee dark roast private reserve whole beans but every bean and even pre ground is great. Every drink is delicious from the latte macchiato to an iced coffee with 2 shots of espresso is excellent. Being a super automatic it is very convenient and luxurious treat for all coffee drinkers :) highly recommend.

LOVE it so far! The concept of just pushing a button for the coffee drink desired is so fabulous. This machine gets used 3-4 times a day in our household and so far so good! Make sure to know that when brand new the first five cups made are just prep for the machine so don’t get discouraged if they aren’t as expected...we just tossed those. Once that setup phase is done, you will have fun experimenting to create your fav drink. Bye Starbucks!

I love this machine! After looking at machine after machine, really glad I decided on this one. Wanted something that could brew both a regular cup of coffee and espresso, and was fully automated. I really didn't want to have to fuss with a manual frother. Just a few steps to get it set up and then you are on your way to brewing a delicious cup of coffee! Super easy to use and to clean. Makes a nice crema too.

At $800, the Philips 3200 Espresso has a lot to prove.
To start with, I have to give kudos to Philips for thinking about how you might actually get this machine out of the box and including a plastic 'sling' under it, so once the box is open, you can pull on the sling and lift the coffee machine out of the packaging. Nice touch Philips!
Unpacking the machine, it's a nice, sleek design, with a relatively small footprint, making it great for a designated coffee area. The fit and finish of the materials is top notch, the water tank slides in and out easily and the water drip tray/grounds catcher also slide in and out without any issue.
The motion of the adjustable dispensing spout is both pleasing, but incredibly useful as well. Makes switching out cup/mug sizes for different quantities of coffee really, really easy.
The 3200 touts '5 different drinks at the touch of a button' and they aren't wrong. Setting up the machine was fairly simple, although the diagram instructions to start the initial clean cycle appeared to miss a step. Once clean, the machine was ready to use. The instructions do say that the machine you receive HAS been tested through an actual brewing cycle and you may find residue in the machine. So don't be alarmed! Good to know that each machine is tested prior to leaving the factory. The machine also comes with 'aqua clean' technology, a filter that is placed in the water jug, you need to run this cycle as well before brewing your first cup.
My wife is the coffee lover in the family, she loves her espresso's and lattes. She was really excited to use the LatteGo Milk Frother due to its ease of use. First off, we tested with pre-ground coffee. Open up the clear hatch on top and put in one (and one only) scoop of pre-ground coffee. Fill up the milk frother with the desired amount of milk (260ml max). We chose to use only whole milk through the frother. The frother made fantastic frothed milk each and every time. It never scorched or burned it, and made the exact quantity required at the press of a button. However, you CANNOT make just a mug of frothed milk, it HAS to be made in conjunction with a selection of coffee. We tried to make a frothed hot chocolate and that was not easy at all. We had to froth the milk on a coffee selection and turn off the machine when the milk was done, before the coffee cycle activated. Would be nice if you could froth milk separately.
With the coffee modes, you can choose strength, temperature, the coarseness of the grind and the amount of coffee in the cup. You can choose between pre-ground coffee (putting a scoop in the clear lid receptacle on the top), or placing beans in the hopper on top and grinding your own. The hopper holds a whole 12oz bag of beans, and has 12 grind options, via a black knob inside the grinder hopper.
You can choose Espresso, Coffee, Americana, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato and Hot Water. The first three allow you to change the quantity of coffee made by pressing the button a second time.
The machine heats up the water quickly, and also heats up the milk quickly as well. Whichever setting you choose, we've found that the coffee comes out almost perfect every time! My wife has tried several different versions of the same coffee, be it with frothed milk, without, different strengths etc and she's enjoyed them all. She has an 'everyday' ground coffee she uses and also more expensive bean that she uses at the weekend. Both have performed exceptionally in this machine.
We did note that we had a warning light at one stage, the container for the grounds overfilled and spilled into the mechanism inside. The whole 'engine' of the unit comes out to be cleaned. When putting it back in after cleaning, none of the settings would work. We took it apart again, and found out (after digging through the instructions) that it needed to have the lubricant (supplied with the instructions) re-applied to it. Once we did that, the unit ran flawlessly again. They recommend with frequent use, that the main 'engine' should be lubricated monthly.
The frother container can be stored in the refrigerator full of milk ready for the next use. The frother also works well if you leave it attached to the machine and make a second cup of coffee say 30 mins later, without any clogging or issues at all. One of the best features of the frother is actually cleaning it! It's an absolute breeze to clean. So simple! It doesn't have any tubes or pipes, just a groove that is pressed against a silicone diaphragm. This is genius! So easy to clean! Works like a charm every time.
You do have to remember to clean the drip tray frequently, and also empty the grounds out regularly. There is a little red nub that pops up out of the tray to alert you when it's full. The tray removes very easily and is easy to clean and replace.
A noteworthy observation, this machine is pretty loud when brewing coffee and grinding beans. It is NOT one that you would want to use at 5:30 am making your first cup of the day, if you don't want to wake up the family. It also doesn't have a timer to turn it on or automatically make coffee for you in the morning.
As I mentioned at the beginning, this is not a cheap machine, but feel that the price is justified with the ease of use, and the 'coffee house' quality of the drinks that it produces. And in 6 months of 'coffee house' drinks purchases, you too could have one of these Philips 3200 Espresso machines on your counter!
This machine is so simple to use, and produces more satisfying cups of coffee, that it's replaced the Keurig that used to be on the counter. Ease of use and the ability to clean it so simply is a win win for the machine. When the machine automatically turns off, it does a cleaning cycle as well, meaning that the next time you turn it on, it's ready to go, ready for your next great cup of coffee.
We love this machine, our only request would be that we'd love to be able to froth milk on it's own for hot chocolates and the like. Aside from that, it makes fantastic coffee, every time!

Have had this a year and couldn't be happier. Makes incredible espresso and cappuccinos - makes working from home so much more enjoyable! Use good beans (we use Lavazza usually) and keep it clean. It is noisy - but so worth it.
