I’ve been using this coffee machine for month and it makes really delicious coffee with rich crema. It’s a bit noisy during grinding, but that’s expected for a built-in grinder. Overall, very happy with the quality, design, and ease of use — totally worth the price.

Overall this machine delivers Starbucks or your favorite high end brews. The only thing I don't like about it is it brews small sizes. Easily resolved by just brewing the same thing more than once. Pro tip, be patient and allow the grinder to break in which takes 100-150 brews per the online manual. Cups and pucks will be watery at first, but after 20 or so, things begin to get better and better. Do not adjust the grind size until after the recommended break in period so the ceramic burrs or the grinder can properly break in. The unit is super easy to maintain and clean. Another pro tip is to set the unit to rinse upon starup and shutdown which is in the settings. Otherwise the brew spout is known to get moldy. One other thing I would like to see in the future is a touch screen with more overall drink button customization. Enjoy!

Beware – the milk holder has a hole in the bottom, so if the container isn’t seated securely or properly, it can make quite a mess.
My solution was to use some epoxy to fill the hole, and now there’s no mess at all!
I hand wash it anyway, so it’s not an issue.
Inside, you need to pull out the inner unit and lift the yellow lever, or the LED screen will display a water issue—something not mentioned anywhere.
Overall, it’s a nice, compact unit that dispenses quickly and works well, just needs a few tweaks.

Purchased this as a replacement for expired Saeco machine (previous generation model manufactured by Philips). Would prefer to have option to rate at 3.5 stars.
User interface and drink options are very good. LatteGo function is convenient for milk-based drinks. The number of options for brewing temp, dosing strength, and extraction volume gives numerous options to "dial in" automatic machine. Cleaning details, particularly for LatteGo carafe, has improved with this line.
Three concerns after using the machine for a while: 1. While the volume increments for extraction and volumes are very accurate, the increments come in fixed numbers (e.g.: pick between 140ml and 180ml); the Saeco model provides more flexible options for tuning; 2. Previous Saeco models have water carafe inserts under a hinged door. with regular carafe cleaning recommended weekly. The 5500 carafe slides out horizontally every time a water refill is required. Persistently unplugging and plugging in the carafe to the machines water intake multiple times a day is a long-term opportunity for failure; 3. Overall build quality is a concern. After having two prior Saeco models that averaged more than seven years each, construction materials and overall machine quality feels significantly less, comparatively speaking.
I would recommend this to a friend

The wife and I have been using this machine for the last 2 1/2 weeks and are loving it, a bit on the pricey side tho. I wanted to give it a 5-star, but I just couldn't do it. so far we have only found two cons to this machine, and that is the very small water tank and the small drink size. For us, we have to make two cups of coffee to get one cup. Other than that, the machine is awesome and does what it is supposed to do. Very happy so far other than the two issues mentioned

This coffee maker is so nice! Makes so many different types of coffee. Settings for each of us plus a guest so we can save the way we like our coffee to be strong or light extra foam etc.
