The Philips Hue Dimmer Switch is a practical and stylish accessory for Philips Hue smart lighting users. Works great and connects easily to the app. Sticks right on the wall, and I haven't had any issues with it.

Sometimes you just want a physical button rather than taking out your phone and loading the Hue app, or even instead of asking Google or Alexa. This remote is great as it can not only be programmed to turn your Hue lights in a given room or zone on & off, but can also be programmed to cycle through different scenes. I have the top button on my remote set so a single press will activate the time-based light scene, and the bottom scene to cycle through some of my favorite cusom scenes, plus both buttons set with a long press (equivalent of two blinks of a green LED on the remote) to turn the lights off completely. My only gripe - and this is minor - is the included wall plate. I'm not inclined to get my wall sticky with 3M tape, nor to drill extra holes in my wall, just to add a wall plate that's both larger than and aesthetically incongruous from the rest of my wall plates and their switches. I ended up ordering a custom 3D printed wall plate that had room for one of my existing toggle lights plus a dock that fits this remote as shown in the picture I included from a popular unaffiliated craft site.

I do enjoy this light switch but I wish the Phillips Hue app connected a little bit better to it because I have the settings set to light bright lights but it's always dim orange when I go to turn it on, I'd like not to have to keep tapping it to get the right color and setting but it is a great product other than that.

This is probably my favorite accessory for the Philips hue lighting system. I really like walking into a room and using a switch to turn my lights on instead of having to reach for my phone and open an app. It makes coming and going from rooms in my home easy to do.

I tend to not buy hue products anymore due to the large amount of less expensive but just as nice smart lighting options there are out there now, but I still have a good 40 hue products to control! I had the first generation of this dimmer switch which I have always loved (these are the kinds of things that give hue the upper hand if money isn't a big deal). The second generation is even better in my opinion...response time seems to be faster and you can store one more scene than the first. For 30 bucks, this is really worth it to control a room or group of hue lights. The adhesive backing is more than enough to keep it on your wall looking as if it is supposed to be there, as well as allowing you to remove the remote from its wall holder to carry around at your leisure (like in your bed!)

Nice to have this for your lights if you don’t want to grab your phone or if it’s dead. Easy to set up and program the buttons.

This remote has added convenience when interacting with my Hue lights. Being able to turn the lights off, or alter the dimming without my phone is very nice. The only downside for me is that the button to change scenes only cycles between a few of its predetermined natural light colors. I wish I had the ability to cycle between some of the scenes I have set within the Hue app.

This is more than just an on off switch for Hue Lights. It allows me to turn them on/off, brighten/dim, and cycle between scenes I’ve set for it. Absolutely worth the purchase price.

Great and convenient. Use when we don’t have our phones near or just as an easy way to turn on a whole room when you walk in. Have more than one and would recommend if you love your hue lights but are tired of finding your phone to turn on a light.

If you already have the whole set up this is just a staple for your whole light set up from the Apple loan is so easy to use and once you have everything set up to your liking with just a press of a button your lights will look amazing and it’ll feel very uptown

I had to reset one of my lightbars and read online that the switch would allow me to do so. Other than that, it's a great device to control your hue lights It is excellent that it is magnetic and can be moved

I've been a long-time user of Philips Hue lighting, and the Hue Dimmer Switch is a fantastic addition for anyone seeking quick access to their favorite settings without having to provide every visitor with app access.

I wish you could add these to the apple homekit app and wish you could control multiple light bulbs that are in different rooms. A little expensive but other than that its good.

No tools needed to affix to wall. Sometimes I knock the remote out of the holder while turning lights on or off. Maybe once every 30 uses. Easy to pop back in. No big deal. Just wish it had a grippier hold.

I love the ease of installation and setup! Once you connect it to the hub it functions perfectly. The only drawback is that it only connects to one room!

Ease of dimming and scene selection via switch and app.

This switch is fully programmable in HomeKit. When used in conjunction with NFC Tags and Apple Shortcuts, the switch can commandeer different devices depending on which room it is used. It also sticks to any metal surface providing more versatility and flexibility.

The dimmer switch , wall plate included, finally enables my smart hue lights to be aesthetically pleasing as well as practical
