The Phillips Hue Wireless Dimmer switch is simple to use and a great product if you have other Hue products in your house. The design and software put into the smart switch are great. You can use the ON button to double-tap and get new colors of Temp on your color lights or a customized scene.
You can either choose the adhesive backing or magnetic option to mount the dimmer or remove the remote as it detaches and you can just bring the remote along with you or place it on the coffee table so you don't have to get up every time to change the lights.
I'm going to buy another for the wife's office so she doesn't have to get back up to change or dim the lights when she is on zoom meeting anymore.

I really loved this one. We have up two Philips lights multi-color LED in light bulbs our living room. We bought this to control the lights without app. The ON button on this remote can be used to set 4 different color choices for the light. Each press of the ON button turns On a different light setting. It also has an OFF button to turn off the lights. It has a brighten up button and bright down button to increase or decrease the brightness of the bulbs. Very handy and useful. This can be stuck to the wall as a switch or you can pull out the remote from the switch and use it too! Love it!

Bought this to use with the hues light strips I placed under kitchen cabinets. I can use the phone app and Siri to control, Alexa to control, or the wireless remote. With the wireless remote you can turn on, off dim, and set 4 different light settings and toggle through with in button. Since the holder is magnetic I placed it on the side of my refrigerator.

This is a added feature to the philips Hue light system that we have in the house. We currently have it located in the living room so that when we are sitting down for the evening. It makes it easy for us to use the light system in the house.
I would suggest this to anyone that currently has this system or that will be purchasing one for the holiday.

You’re only limited on your imagination on where you can put these switches. I have a couple attached to my range hood and refrigerator with the built in magnets. They’ll stick to anything made with steel or iron.

At first, I was a bit confused when I bought this switch. I thought it was a replacement to a 'dumb' switch to be installed with electrical connections. I was pleasantly surprised that it was to be connected to any Philips hue lights bulbs in the house. Installation was a breeze and connecting it to a light of my choosing was easy. I like so far and plan to add more to the other rooms in the house.

The Hue remotes are very handy. Having said that, I’ve had different connection issues pop up over the 3 + years I’ve owned about 7 of them. What I do like is that you’re able to connect to single light and/or a group of lights. I also like the magnetic wall mount which allows you to hang the remote on the wall while still giving you the option to remove it & have a portable remote. This feature alone raises my rating from 1 to 3 stars!!!

This is the best way to control any Hue bulbs or light strips. Perfect match for Decora Wall Switches, so tape it next to existing switches, sit it on a table or use the built-in magnets to mount on a panel.
Super easy to program! Extremely useful multi-function remote control for Hue!

This works perfectly with the Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance A19 LED light kit. Besides having Alexa to turn on/off the lights, this switch gives you the option to turn them on/off the conventional way.

I would like to see an included mounting bracket so you can place them over the existing light, but there are ways to accomplish this.

I have a number of these light switches currently. From time to time they flake out and do not control the lights, though you do see a red light on the remote itself. Using four fingers and pressing each button at the same time, you can reboot the light switch and get back to normal. It's nice to be able to configure a different light scenes depending on how many presses of the on button you make. One press is 'energize'. A second press is 'relax'. A third press is 'night light' - for example, depending on which lights you control. It also has a magnetic back, you can attach it to the outside corner of your wall if you have metal corner beads, which is handy for me.

Must Have for Your Hue System

We purchased the Philips Hue Dimmer Switch with our Hue Starter Kit so that we could control our new lights like a traditional lighting system.
We didn't feel comfortable with only having the Hue App to control the lights. And Philips recommends leaving your Hue lights powered at all times.
This switch is easy to add to your Hue system and setup.
You have the option to assign lights to the switch and whether to just turn them on and off or you can assign a particular scene.
I decided to assign the default scene to the switch so no matter what state or scene the lights were last used with, this switch will turn them on to the default scene.
We mounted it on the wall next to the other set of light switches in our home. We also added a Light Switch Cover to cover the actual light switch that powers the Hue lights. This way the switch is always on and can't be turned off by accident. You can find the switch covers online.
The Hue Light switch is also removable from the wall mount so you can use it like a remote control.
So far we are pleased with our Hue Lighting system and the Dimmable Light Switch. For more info, see my review of the Philips Hue Starter Kit.
I highly recommend this switch for those who want to add a traditional style wall switch to their Philips Hue system.

We put one pair of these to make a room light become a 3 way switch.. Super Simple solution to wanting to turn lights ON from two or more locations. We had a room that we wanted to be able to turn the lights on or off from more than the single location original "wall box" mounted switch.. We replaced the standard light bulbs with Philips Hue White in all fixtures, then, by setting up two of these switches, we suddenly have lights that can be controlled from inside or outside of the room.. with no hassle about the normal 3-way switch wiring and installation.. SUPER HANDY and we can even dim the lights.. no mounting issue, thanks to the peel off back strips..

These dimmer switches are a MUST if you have the Hue lights. Without the dimmer switches, you need to turn your lights off via your phone or tablet every time you would like to turn the lights off, which isn't always convenient. Of course, you could simply flip the switch, but this renders the lights useless later, as they will no longer have power and they will not be connected to the Hue bridge. I removed the light switches from my walls, tucked them in the metal container in the wall, and covered them with a flat, plain electric outlet cover (without any holes or port openings). This allowed me to stick the dimmer switches over the existing light switches without worrying that the light switches would ever accidentally be turned off, preventing the lights from connecting to the Hue bridge. The dimmers look MUCH better than modern light switches and they are magnetic, so you can remove them from their plate and use them as a remote, if you'd like.
Unfortunately, they aren't perfect. If you're like me and you have a TON of wireless devices on your network, you will experience some interference at seldom times. If you ever press the dimmer switch and nothing happens, simply hit it 1-2 more times and it will most likely make it around the interference. You could also make sure that your wireless router fully reaches throughout the entirety of your home. If it doesn't, simply by an extender or another router to use as an extender. This will help to clear up any of the "dark" areas where the signal is weaker/non-existent.

I have LED lights in a bathroom vanity and tried 4 different AC dimmers and all of them buzzed, even with dimmable LED. Since those are $40-$70 i just put 3 HUE lights in the fixture and got one of these, and love it. You can program in 5 different scenes/color moods/dim modes and use the ON button to advance through the 5 slots you program. Plus make dimming on the fly, and turn it off. great for when you walk into the bathroom at 2am and don't want 100% brightness and don't want to tell google to verbally dim the lights. Adhesive pads stick to the wall or you can use a magnet or screw through the plate to the wall, i did not see any screws in the package though. Uses a replaceable flat button cell battery. the control module magnetically holds in place and you can use it as a standalone remote.
