I've been shaving my head for nearly 20 years. Back then I just used trimmers. For about the last 5 years I've been using another brand head shaver. I was never satisfied with it. If I waited one day too long I would have to first use trimmers to shorten the hair and then use the head shaver to finish the job.
The Head Shaver Pro 5000 feels great in the hand. The ergonomics are great and you can either hold it by the body or cup your hand around the shave head. It comes with a head cover to protect the blades, a charging cable, and a soft travel bag. One nice feature is the ability to lock it to prevent it from being turned on accidentally. It is quite large. My previous one was about 2/3 the size of this one and the blades sat much closer to the body of the shaver.
As far as the shave goes, I had honestly waited a little too long between shaving my head, but I didn't want to use my old head shaver knowing this was on the way and having to wait again to shave my head. However, it did a great job. It did take a few extra passes, but that was expected due to my longer hair length. It does give a very close and comfortable shave. It cuts much closer than my previous head shaver. It is quiet and can be used wet or dry. I personally don't shave my head in the shower, or wet, only dry so I can only speak to the quality of that. I've used it a few times and each time is comfortable. My previous shaver would tend to get very hot and would become irritating over time. The blades on the Head Shaver Pro 5000 are much larger than my previous shaver, however it only has four blades compared to five on my previous one. To me, it's a bit of a compromise. In one way it is better (you cover more area quicker), but the trade off is there is no center blade. With the spacing of the blades, there is a relatively large area between the blades that is open and not cut. You have to turn the "square" of the blades at an angle to get more of a diamond shape to cover everything in one pass, or make more passes closer together. Nothing huge, just something to be aware of.
Cleaning is incredibly easy with this shaver. On my previous one, the outer four blades pivoted open and the center one came out. There was always hair stuck in the blades because they were so small. You had to get very thin tweezers to get the hair out. On the Head Shaver Pro 5000, the entire top of the head pops off and it is more open. I didn't even have to rinse it out to clean it. I just tapped it against my palm and all of the hair came out. It is the easiest to clean by far.
A couple of things that I would change would be to add a battery level indicator. My previous one had a green light while on with a sufficient charge and it turned red when it needed to be charged. Granted, I haven't ran this one dead yet, but it would be nice to know what level the battery was at before using it. It's never fun to be mid shave and have the battery die. Although you can plug it in for five minutes to get enough charge for a shave. Another change would be the charging cable. I don't understand why we can't have USB-C on the shaver for charging. It's just one extra charging cable that you have to take with you when traveling. Again, nothing huge, just a couple of things that I would prefer.
In the end, Philips Norelco is the best name in the business. They make a quality product and I definitely recommend it if you shave your head. It's by far the best shave I've ever had. If you shave daily, you can be done in less than two minutes.

My husband has been shaving his head for the past five years using a beard / body trimmer, and it's ok, but has a few flaws. For this reason, I was excited to pick up the Philips Norelco Head Shaver Pro 5000 for him to try.
TL:DR - Overall great product if you want to keep your head close shaved on a frequent basis, approximately every 1 - 3 days pending how fast your hair grows. The razor shape is well designed to fit in your palm and the 4 blade foil shape is designed specifically for the head. The razor has plenty of power and performs better than a body or beard trimmer. Note that this may not be for you if you do not want a close shave or do not plan to shave your head frequently, as the hair needs to be short for this shaver to be effective.
Pros:
Easy to use
Battery lasts 5+ days for 5 minutes of use each day and has a quick charge feature if you don't have time for a full charge
Lightweight and comfortable to hold
Cleaning the foil is easy
Gentle on sensitive skin, works even with scars / skin folds
Works for both wet and dry shaving
Cons:
Hair needs to be ~2mm or less for the most effective shave, so this really is meant for daily or every other day shaving
No battery life indicator
In the box is the shaver, USB-A style charging cable, foil cover and travel pouch. The shaver did not come charged, so charged it for about 30 minutes prior to turning on the first time. To use, power on and move in slow circles over your head. If you want super smooth, you'll need to apply a small amount of pressure, but otherwise, no downward force required. The foil has 4 independent blades which flex within the head, and the head itself flexes allowing for a smooth shave on both flat and curved surfaces. To clean, remove the foil and gently tap or run it under water to clean out the hair, then let air dry.
As for the results, my husband has scars from an old head injury which have always been slightly hard for him to get completely smooth using the trimmer. This shaver does an excellent job and gets all areas smooth with no irritation to the scar or his neck. So far he has used it every day, taking approximately 5 minutes to shave, and has no complaints of irritation or not getting an even shave. Bottom line, great shaver for low maintenance, daily shaving that delivers a close shave without irritating the skin.

Philips makes great shavers. I have owned a few of their Norelco line in my lifetime with the most recent being the S9000 Prestige Shaver. It has served me well in for its primary use, facial hair removal but I always felt guilty about not having an actual head shaver when I have used it in that capacity. The Philips Head Shaver Pro 5000 Series is specifically designed for a gentle total removal of head hair and it performs this very well.
As packaged:
• Philips Norelco Head Shaver Pro 5000 Series
• Cleaning brush
• USB-A cable A (for charging)
• Protective cap
• Fabric pouch (for travel/storage)
The shaver is under 1lbs and measures approximately 4.5 x 2.5 x 3.75 inches (L x B x H). An LED travel lock indicator, the power button, and a small LCD display for battery status are located on the front of the device. The power button also engages the travel lock function when held for 3 seconds. The travel lock status is confirmed by the flashing of the previously mentioned LED.
I have previously tried razors with some not-so-great outcomes. Heads, unlike faces tend to have more contours which require more attention and skill to use razors without accidental nicks. This is especially true during a shaving routine when one may be pressed for time. The Head Shaver Pro 5000 provides professional barber-like shaves for everyone. Helping achieve this is Philips’ 36 ComfortCut blade system (replacement part HS740) which is also self-sharpening. The head, is able to follow every curve and ramp up power when needed to provide the closest shave possible, all without any nicks. The device can be used for wet (including in showers) or dry shaves. I prefer to use with a shave gel and typically shave every other day; I have not had any irritation so far. Helping deliver great shaves is the ergonomic grip. It is very comfortable and does not wear you out. The head can also be held directly if preferred. Either way, maneuverability is smooth which makes the whole process less of a chore, in my experience.
The lithium battery onboard is able to provide 60 minutes of use when full. It takes about an hour to fully charge. Should it be totally discharged, a 5-minute charge should provide enough juice for a 5-minute shave, per Philips. The charging port is, unfortunately, different from my other Philips shaver. While there may be a technical reason for this, having one less cable to pack for travel would have been preferred, in my opinion.
After use, it is easy to clean the shaver with the provided brush and rinsing with water. The shaving head system includes a lower chamber which collects hair during use for a tidier environment. Blades are recommended to be changed every 6 months.
Although the Norelco Head Shaver Pro 5000 Series is as robust as they come, Philips offers a generous 2-year warranty for added peace of mind as there appears to be no user replaceable parts inside, per the manual. In conclusion, Philips’ Norelco Head Shaver Pro 5000 Series firmly asserts its place in line with the manufacturer’s legendary history. I envision using it for several years to come and recommend.

The GOAT of Skull Shavers

The Philips Norelco- Head Shaver pro 5000 (the GOAT Skull Shaver) is AWESOME!
I have been shaving my head for the past 5 years and I bought many skull shavers and was never satisfied with any. I have actually started using my Norelco beard shaver as my go to head shaver for the past year or so. I didn't know Philips made head shavers.
When I saw this is thought to myself that I should give it a try, if the beard shaver works on my skull, this should be much better and I was NOT disappointed.
In the package you get the head shaver, the proprietary Philips charging cable with a USB type a on the other end (no charging brick like Philips used to do).
you also get the shaver plastic cover for the blades which sits higher for more protection and I guess less hair trimmings spilling.
you get a plastic cleaning brush and a fabric pouch for travel.
the most noticeable thing is that taking it apart for cleaning is very easy: pop the head off, twist the cage holding the blades in place and you will be able to access the blades and the blade covers.
Per the instructions you can take them apart and give them a good soak in water and soap every once and a while.
now the actual shaving. this shaver has 4 blades compared to 5 on dedicated skull shavers but I have to say that this cut cleaner, faster. so you need to do less passes on the same area to get the same result, and dare I say this actually shaves closer and better than all the others combined.
the handle in ergonomic and I had no issue or discomfort or awkwardness with my right or left hand. the shaving heads have a give to them so you can press as you go to get the shortest shave possible.
this is a great solution to my needs especially that I only shave my head like once a week and the longer hair was no issue for this shaver.
Quality wise, I have been using Phillips for over 30 years and my dad have used it for 40 years before me. I trust this name and I do own multiple Philips shavers and trimmers for different needs.
This is the one to get and the price is good knowing this will last for years!

Philips Norelco - Head Shaver Pro 5000
I have been using electric shavers on my head as well as my face for about a decade and I discovered that this Head Shaver Pro 5000 from Philips Norelco performs as well as everything I've tried.
The shaver is light and comfortable to hold, is extremely quiet and shaves close and smoothly as a new shaver should. The shaver has four circular blades that glide smoothly over my head and face.
The shaver performs well for what it was designed to do.
The package contains the shaver, a USB-A charging cable and a protective cover for the blades. When you take the shaver when traveling the packages includes a cloth pouch, which is very helpful.
The blades on these shavers have a tendency to dull over time. I am not sure about replacement blades for this razor at this time. I have found that replacing the shaver with a new shaver is almost as inexpensive as buying replacement blades for the existing shaver.
This head shaver is my fourth shaver of this type and this type of shaver does not include a way to trim beards or mustaches easily. Because of that, I also use a small, single blade electric trimmer.

This was my first time using a head shaver and I have to say that it was very satisfying using this new Norelco Head pro shaver. The results of using this Head Pro shaver after a few days was outstanding, in just a few minutes I had a clean smooth shaven head and it was totally gentle on my skin. The 360° flexing and the power adapt sensor helped move the shaver around my head for an effortless shaving , and with the ergonomic grip design helped me securely grip the shaver while cutting my hair for a perfect smooth shave head. This head shaver is rechargeable and it last longer than I expected with just a quick one hour charge I was able to get 60 minutes to shave my hair without the need of recharging. This norelco head shaver pro comes with a soft pouch, a protecting cap and a USB-A charging cable , great for traveling. Head pro head shaver is water resistance so it’s great to use it in the shower and easy to clean blades. I really recommend this Norelco Head Pro for anyone that wants a clean, smooth shave head without any cuts or heavy shavers.

Bald for over 20 yrs now, I know enough to know that nothing shaves closer than a blade. However, the Philips Norelco Pro 5000 Head Shaver comes in a close second. Several years ago, I decided I was going to blade shave 2x per week and use a Philips Norelco 3 pivoting head facial hair razor for the in-between days. That was a satisfactory solution...unless I went an extra day relying on the electric--or forgot to electric shave my head every day. Now I find myself traveling 4 days a week and, if I do nothing, I am fuzzy by the time I return home for a blade shave--sometimes too fuzzy to get a clean blade shave.
With all that back info, I decided that I wanted a "dedicated" multi-shaver head shaver with USB charging capability that I could leave in my suitcase and easily charge with one of my traveling USB charger ports I never unpack as well. Confident in the Philips Norelco brand (and not super confident in the head shavers in all my social media feeds), I decided the Pro 5000 was worth a try.
COMFORT AND CLOSENESS: This head shaver shaves closer than my 3-blade Philips electric, which was a nice surprise. Nothing is ever as close as a razor blade, but the 4-head Pro 5000 gives a nice, close, smooth shave when used daily. It is a bit loud, and high pitched compared to my regular electric...and while I only have about 5 shaves under my belt at the time of this review, twice I have "razor burned" a trouble spot between my left ear and neck, which is a bit frustrating. To be fair, that happened from time to time with the other electric, though.
SIZE AND WEIGHT: Sight unseen, I thought this electric head shaver would be smaller. The base is shaped similarly to a computer mouse--a very large computer mouse. It is awkward to hold the base with your hand. I have taken to sliding it between my fingers so that the base is almost worn like a novelty ring as I kind of cup the blades as I guide and pivot them around my head. Honestly, I wish the overall size was smaller or somehow more compact feeling.
CHARGE AND CONNECTIVITY: Because I have only had the Pro 500 for a few days and only use it when I travel, I can't speak directly to charge life, but I trust that the product's claim of "1 hour's worth of charging gets you approx. 15 shaves." 5 minutes of charge gets you an immediate shave. The charging is slow, however. It takes about an hour to fully charge the shaver. All of that is reasonable, but again, given its size and modern battery technology, seems like it should charge faster and hold a bit more. The bigger disappointment, and a major reason for removing a STAR from the rating, is that the USB cable to charge the shaver IS PROPRIETARY! One end is USB-A. The other is "Philips." Why not simply make the shaver connection USB-C like virtually every other device in our modern world??? Now I have to make sure I (a) don't lose the charging cable and (b) keep it with my shaver. It's also worth noting that it does NOT come with a wall adapter. Not a deal-breaker, but given for most people the shaver will live in their bathroom, chances are you don't have a charger plugged into a bathroom outlet the way you might in the bedroom, office, or kitchen for things like your phone, tablet, computer, etc.
FINAL THOUGHTS: It gives a good shave but I do feel like they could have put a bit more thought into the design...and thrown in a wall adapter for the charger AND USED A STANDARD USB-C CONNECTION on the shaver itself. I have not "wet shaved" with it, but that is a nice option. It took me a while to figure out how to open the heads to shake out shaving dust, but again, you can "dump your shaved stubble" and rinse the shaver head under water if you want.
For the sake of comparison, I have included a picture of both the Head Shaver Pro 5000 and my standard Philips Norelco "face" shaver.

Really Good Head Shaver

My husband has been cutting his hair with clippers since the beginning of his hair cutting days. He always wanted to try an electric head shaver, but was always on the fence about it. So I thought the Phillips Head Shaver Pro 5000 would be a good way to introduce him into the electric shaving world. One of the main issues my husband always complained about was the time it took to cut his hair, and the mess it made in our bathroom. I wanted to see if the Head Shaver Pro 5000 could address those two issues.
What comes in the box
The packaging is pretty minimal. It comes with the head shaver pro 5000, travel bag, a USB-A charging wire, small cleaning brush, and a protective cap to protect the blades. The warranty is what drew me to this product versus other shavers.
I was able to successfully register the shaver which increased the warranty to 5 years since I registered online at Phillips.com. This is awesome because I've heard people have some issues with other brands. This warranty sets Phillips apart from the competition.
How does it perform
My husband found that the Head Shaver Pro contours to his head much better than him using his clippers. He was able to get a much closer cut and it lasted much longer while using the flexing head of the shaver. The key takeaway was making sure his hair was short from the beginning. This ensures the Head Shaver Pro could perform efficiently and quickly. The Shaver has a hair collection system where it did not make a huge mess as well. We were both impressed. My husband did not try to shave his head while being wet so he could not attest to that functionality, but his head came out really nice after shaving.
Long-term Use
Since my husband tested for little over a week, we couldn't test the long-term battery results. The battery lasted throughout all shaving sessions. The only issues that we both noticed were the charging cord. No ac adapter included, plus the USB-A input is on the older side of technology. Good thing we had an AC adapter that accepted USB-A input laying around the house. One other downside is the shaver cannot operate while charging. As the battery capacity decreases over time. that may pose an issue over time. I think my husband can deal with those minor gripes since the positives far outweigh the negatives. This is the perfect starter head shaver and we definitely recommend for close shaves.

Highlight of the 5000 series :
- last 60 minutes of usage on full charged battery.
- the package includes travel pouch, usb-a charging cable, and shaver head protective cap.
The Head Shaver Pro 5000 ease the shaving the head at level of most close to bold as possible.
First its shape of the shaver’s body is ergonomic such easy to hold, making comfortable to go through the cutting all around the head.
It makes easy to adjust to the form of the head due to its flexible shaver head. As mover around as shave, it change the angle, then as shaving the back of the head it adjust nicely to the contour of the head and neck.
However, during the usage, noticed it require to shave the same spot couple of time. It wasn’t enough with one pass. Additionally, it requires to put pressure down toward the head for proper cut. Otherwise it was noticed little heirs left still noticeable.
Hence after multiple times shaving, it result in nice and clean and gentle skin.
As a minor detail relevant to taking it for the trip, it has Lock/Unlock option which become handy as when it is placed in the bag, as it move around often non intentionally it press the On button and become functional. Hence such function is quite helpful.
What I wish it were better:
- Battery Status: t doesn’t include the battery life status. Can’t tell from the small led how much of battery left.
- Shaving head chamber: once it is disabled, afterward while emptying the chamber to clean, the entire piece becomes disassembled. It is quite flimsy as it requires trying to assemble while still shaving and take longer to end.
- Using it while charging: can’t shave while charging as charging cable is short and not supported.
- Charging Cable: it is USB-A, wish it were USB-C.
- Travel Pouch: I would preferred a travel case instead of pouch.
- Lock/Unlock Status: it doesn’t have any indicator if it is locked. Only way to learn about it is by pressing the button On/Off and try out.

Good shaver but not as smooth as I had hoped

For years, I had always used my foil shaver (meant for faces) to get a clean smooth cut on my scalp. The reason being that I could shave both my face and head with one device and not have to buy a standalone scalp shaver. However, I decided it was time to get a shaver meant only for the scalp. I never liked rotary shavers, so I was hesitant to switch from the foil format. After the first use, this Norelco left me with a slight stubble. I was disappointed since the foil shaver that I had been using for years always gave me a super smooth feel. However, after researching, I realized that your hair becomes accustomed to how it is cut and needs a readjustment period to get used to something new. With that in mind, I have continued to use the 5000 daily for the past week and I feel like it is getting a closer shave each day. Not quite as smooth as the foil shaver but I hope with time my hair/scalp will become accustomed to the new Norelco 5000. With regards to the actual device design, it is fine. You can either hold it right above the blades (my preference) or grab onto the protruding bulbous knob. Cleaning is easy…just pop off the blade cover and rinse it in water. Overall, it is satisfactory for my needs. I just hope it will get as smooth of a shave as my foil shaver does as my scalp gets used to it.

Almost as close as a blade!

I have some experience with other products of this kind and I was pleasantly surprised by exactly how well this shaver did. Of course the closest shave for a bald guy like me is always going to be done with a regular blade razor. But along with the super close shave comes cuts, nicks, scalp bumps, and bleeding. That is why I choose to use these rotary types of shavers on my head.
Of the many that I have used, this one comes the closest to shaving with a blade. Even with significant stubble trouble, it just glides over my scalp and mows it down. It doesn’t require many passes to get a completely close shave, either. I like that there are two ways that it can be held. Either hold on to the base or put the area where the shaver head meets the base between your fingers and just run it over your head. I do it that way and then hold on to the base to finish up any areas that might have been missed. And the connection to the base is flexible so it just sort of goes with the contours of my head.
Anyway, let’s do some pros and cons.
Pros:
- Clean, close shave.
- It charges quickly and works for a long time between charges.
- It has no annoying digital display that doesn’t give you any real useful information and isn’t accurate. Instead, it will display an orange light when it needs to be charged.
- It is easy to clean. Just pop the blade portion of the shaving head off and empty it out.
- It has a lot of space in the shaving head so it doesn’t need to be cleaned often.
- The storage bag is nice and fits the razor and everthing that comes with it with room to spare.
- It has a travel lock. Press and hold the button and it will lock so that the razor cannot be accidentally turned on while being moved around in baggage.
- The blade cover is sturdy and stays put, to protect the blades. There’s no cheap, thin plastic here.
Cons:
- The cord it comes with is proprietary and if you lose it, you’ll have to buy another one somewhere.
- It did not come with a charger. That’s not a big deal for most, because who among us doesn’t have chargers just sitting around all over the place? But on the off chance that you don’t have one, it can be plugged into any USB port on anything.
This is definitely a worthwhile purchase and it has become my main head shaver. I love it and can highly recommend it.

Basic Head Shaver

I was excited to get Philips Norelco 5000 head shaver. Using may different head shavers over the last 30 years, I was hoping this one would be different. The shaver was packed well and included everything you need to get started. The charging cable is long enough to reach most outlets. The carry pouch and plastic shaver cover are nice additions. Instructions are basic and common. Follow the pictures for all the steps. I use the shaver in the shower. I always soak my head for 2-3 minutes with warm water to soften the hairs. My hair is less than 1mm when using this shaver. I used a very good shaving cream. Using slow circular motions, as with any head shaver, the machine went to work. I found myself going over the same spots again and again. I rinse the unit every 30 seconds or so to make sure the blades are clean and free of debris. The results for me have been blah. I find that even after going over some spots many times, I can still feel stubble. I can even see stubble in some areas. I have used the razor several times now and overall am a little disappointed. I wish the shave were closer and gave me better results. I understand that each of us have different types of skin and therefore will get different results, but for me, I was not impressed. I have had to use my electric face shaver to go over missed spots after my head is dry. One time using the Norelco, I did get a small cut behind my ear. Nothing major, but still a pain. If you are looking for a razor blade type cut, this is not it. Will I continue to use it? Most likely yes. But I was hoping for better results and a smoother shave. I will continue to try different brands of shaving cream and see if there is a better combination for this shaver. In the end, I would recommend the shaver, but just for a basic head shave with mediocre results.

A comfortable, dedicated dome-shaving upgrade

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
My husband has been using a set of clippers to shave his head for year. Over the years we have replaced the product, paying far more than necessary because he doesn’t need a high-powered product or accessories for hair he doesn’t have. Plus, shaving the back of his head with the clippers was awkward and hit or miss. Oftentimes he would ask me to do it.
With that in mind, I got the Philips Norelco Head Shaver Pro 5000 to try out. There are two levels of the Head Shaver Pro, and 5000 is the lower of the two. While the shaver is the same, what each comes with is different along with the price.
My husband was very impressed with this dedicated head shaver and is happily retiring his clippers for the reasons I describe below.
To start, he found it incredibly comfortable to hold. The ergonomic design fit naturally into his palm. Even more, you can “cup” the shaver between the handle and the shaving head for an extra close grip. This makes it easier to navigate the neck and the tricky area behind the head. It’s lightweight, too, so shaving doesn’t turn into a wrist workout or contortion.
Performance-wise, it delivers a close shave with little to no irritation. The four shaving heads glide smoothly over one’s dome. You can do a wet or dry shave. Because it's waterproof, you can shave in the shower if that’s your routine.
The battery life is fairly high for this product: a 60-minute runtime on a single charge, and it only takes about an hour to recharge. There’s also a handy feature where a quick five-minute charge gives you enough power for a five-minute shave which is ideal if you forgot to charge it. Indicator lights tell you when the battery is low and when charging is complete.
The maintenance is fairly simple and should be adhered to. The flip-top design makes it easy to rinse the shaving heads under water. It also comes with a cleaning brush for better upkeep. The directions go into detail about a monthly thorough cleaning so you can keep it at peak performance.
It packs well if you travel. The 5000 series comes with a soft pouch that keeps everything contained so you don’t open your suitcase to find hair trimmings in your undies. It also comes with a protective cap, USB-A cable, and a small cleaning brush. There is a two-year warranty for peace of mind.
There are a couple of downsides. The travel lock is useful once you understand it, but if you don’t, it can be confusing when the shaver suddenly won’t turn on. The key is to hold the power button for three seconds to activate or remove the lock. Also, there’s no USB power adaptor included. You will have to supply that to get it to charge or you won’t be able to use it. That is the reason I rated this the Philips Norelco Head Shaver Pro 5000 a 4 instead of a 5.
Be sure to read the instructions that come with the head shaver. They offer valuable tips such as:
• If your hair is longer than two inches, pre-trim before shaving.
• Shave in the direction of hair growth to reduce irritation.
• Don’t press down hard—let the shaver do the work.
• Clean regularly to maintain smooth performance and extend the life of the heads.
Overall, the Philips Norelco Head Shaver Pro 5000 is user-friendly, gentle on the scalp, and built for the unique contours of the head. If you want a clean, close shave without fuss or razor burn, then this one hits the mark.

I used this product, and it works exactly as described: clean shave, gentle on the skin, and easy to handle thanks to its ergonomic design. I already own a couple of Philips Norelco grooming kits, so when I searched for a head shaver, I knew I could trust the brand. Their products have always shown long lifespans, consistent battery performance, and solid build quality reinforced by an extended warranty. This model is no exception: it fully charges in about an hour and delivers many smooth shaves per charge.
The size of the shaver fits perfectly in my hand. It's compact, not bulky, and ergonomically shaped for easy access to both the front and back of the head. The entire process is straightforward, taking less than three minutes from start to finish, and the results are excellent.
The blades, mounted on a flexible head, adapt naturally to the curves of the skull. I have very sensitive skin, and I can confirm the shave was smooth and irritation-free.
Three additional highlights I appreciated:
1.- Easy to clean: Whether using the included brush for a dry clean or rinsing with warm water (yes, it’s water-resistant), the blades come out spotless.
2.- Travel-friendly: The kit includes a plastic head protector and a small travel pouch. I also appreciate the thoughtful “Travel Lock” feature that prevents the shaver from accidentally turning on during travels, a common issue that can drain the battery or damage blades.
3.- Extended warranty: After registering the device on the Philips website, I received a 5 (FIVE) year extended guarantee. It’s great to see a manufacturer stand so confidently behind their product.
One additional note: the kit includes the traditional Philips power cord (with the two-hole connector) but no power adapter. I hope future models will adopt a standard USB-C charging option for even greater convenience.
Overall, this is an excellent choice if you’re in the market for a reliable, easy-to-use, and travel-ready head shaver.

It cuts good, it saves time when cutting hair. Doesn’t take as much time as my previous one.
