Next-Level Gaming Power – A Must-Have for PS Fans!
The PlayStation 5 Pro takes everything great about the PS5 and pushes it even further! As a long-time PlayStation gamer, I was excited to upgrade, and this console does not disappoint.
Design & Build Quality
Sony has kept the sleek white design of the original PS5, but the Pro model feels even more refined. The build quality is premium, and it still looks futuristic while blending well into my gaming setup.
Performance & Graphics
The biggest improvement is the powerful hardware upgrade. With improved GPU and CPU performance, games run smoother and look sharper. Ray tracing is more refined, and 4K gaming at higher frame rates feels incredible. Some titles even support 8K upscaling, which future-proofs this console for years.
Faster Load Times & Better Cooling
The enhanced SSD speeds up load times even more, making everything feel instant. I’ve also noticed quieter fan operation, meaning better cooling and improved efficiency.
Final Verdict
If you're a hardcore gamer or want the best possible PlayStation experience, the PS5 Pro is absolutely worth it. The combination of power, speed, and visual fidelity makes this a no-brainer upgrade for serious gamers.
Pros:
Enhanced performance for 4K/8K gaming
Faster load times with improved SSD
Better cooling & quieter fans
Future-proofed for upcoming titles
Cons:
Slightly larger than the original PS5
Premium price tag
Final Rating: 5/5

I recently purchased a PS5 from Best Buy, and I have to say, the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The website was easy to navigate, and I was able to check for in-store availability right away. I opted for in-store pickup, and the process was seamless. When I arrived at the store, the staff was friendly and had my order ready within minutes, ensuring that everything was smooth and hassle-free. It felt great to walk out with my new console without any issues.
As for the PS5 itself, I’m beyond impressed. The console is sleek and modern, with a clean, futuristic design that looks great in my entertainment setup. The load times are incredibly fast, and the system is noticeably quieter than previous models. The graphics are stunning—whether I’m playing next-gen titles or enjoying backward-compatible games, everything looks vibrant and detailed. The new DualSense controller is a huge upgrade too, with its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers making for a much more immersive gaming experience.
What I also appreciate about the PS5 is its user-friendly interface, which makes navigation simple and intuitive. Setting up was quick and easy, and I’ve had no issues with connectivity or performance. The game library is also fantastic, with a great mix of exclusive titles and multi-platform games. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, and I’m glad I chose Best Buy for both the product and the excellent customer service. Highly recommend if you’re in the market for a PS5!

This console is nothing short of a monster, but don’t let that fool you. If you just upgraded from the ps4 to the ps5, or you don’t play often enough to justify the price for the “possible quality benefits” then it’s most likely not for you to be honest! HOWEVER, if you love playing games in your free time, you enjoy super quick loading speeds with beautiful 4k 60-120fps games consistently, then yeah this is your best bet. You know that performance mode that often causes too much lag to use? No longer! And also console storage? Almost a problem of the past, with the starting 2 Tb of storage I haven’t had to worry once yet, upgrading from the 500Gb ps5. Here’s what it feels like to want, and get, this console: At first it’s the indecision to switch from the ps5 to the ps5 pro, next it’s the pretty penny that’s gone from your pocket to get the current most GORGEOUS upgrade in a console gaming system, AND a new 4k OLED TV to match the console’s potential. And with that I feel that the ps5 pro is the best console I’ve ever shelled out any money for however it’s easy to understand how many could see otherwise!

Just got my hands on the PlayStation 5 pro, and I have to say — the experience has been absolutely fantastic from the moment I unboxed it. Sony really outdid themselves with this one.
First off, the design is sleek and futuristic. It looks like a piece of high-tech art sitting in my living room. Setup was simple and fast — within minutes I was diving into the next generation of gaming.
The performance? Unreal. Games load incredibly fast thanks to the lightning-speed SSD. I’m talking seconds. No more waiting around — just straight into the action. The graphics are on another level: crisp 4K resolution, smooth frame rates, and ray tracing that makes every detail pop like never before.
The DualSense controller deserves a special shoutout. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are total game changers. You actually feel what’s happening in the game — whether it’s the tension of pulling back a bow or the rumble of driving over rough terrain. It’s immersive in a way I didn’t know I needed until I tried it.
Plus, the exclusive games like Demon’s Souls, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Spider-Man: Miles Morales show off exactly what this system is capable of. Stunning visuals, smooth gameplay, and that next-gen wow factor.
Overall, buying the PS5 was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a gamer. It’s powerful, fast, and built to impress. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading, do it — this system doesn’t just meet expectations, it smashes them.
10/10. No regrets.

The PS5 Pro is an absolute beast!

The PS5 Pro is a step up from the PS5 with 2TB of storage and Quality Mode with 60 FPS.
Games like Ghost Of Yotei and Assassin Creed Shadow shine on this console when set to Quality Pro mode.
The only drawback is the lack of a disc drive that has to be purchased separately.
Great console overall even after the slight price hike.

I upgraded from the regular PS5, and the difference is noticeable. Games load faster, graphics look sharper, and the 120Hz support makes everything feel incredibly smooth. Ray tracing improvements really stand out in supported titles.
If you have a 4K TV that supports 120Hz, you’ll definitely appreciate the upgrade. The design is basically the same, but the performance boost is worth it for serious gamers.
Pros: Fast, smooth, great visuals.
Cons: Not a must-have for casual players.

My games look better. And perform better. Games look more colorful with colors that pop! And they all have Ray Tracing! At 4K Resolution! And at 120 FPS !!!! All of that running at the same time! No more choosing Quality or Performance because you get EVERYTHING!! Hats off to Sony Playstation Engineers. They are tech wizards! And it’s only $699 ! Thats 1/3 of what i paid to build a 4080 computer! And it performs the same!!!! I 100% recommand SONY PLAYSTION 5 PRO !!!!

I had the original PS5 and decided to upgrade. Everything overall is an improvement, storage, load times, smaller profile and quieter. It is a shame that you have to purchase the stand and disc drive separate, though understandable because this may be the last run of consoles with an actual disc drive going forward. The pro enhancement in certain games is subtle but overall the console feels like an upgrade if you can stomach the $$$.

First of all know what you are buying. I see no point of people saying they are surprised there is no stand or disc drive. So you casually spend $700 without researching your purchase? If you’re ok with those missing or buying them separately then the real question is this worth the extra money? I think that depends on several factors. Obviously the nicer your TV is the better value this will be. Keep in mind for the extra money your getting more then just a better GPU. You’re getting 2TB of storage (1.89TB available) which is more than double the standard PS5. Wifi has been upgraded to Wifi 7. They added 2GB more ram as well. Is it night and day better? No not really. But is a PS5 pro enchanced game noticable? I would say yes it is. Horizon remastered pro on an OLED is absolutely gorgeous and thats after playing the original PS5 version and its sequel. If you have the means ans you want the best visual quality on a growing list of games on console this is a worthy choice.

The PS5 Pro redefines what “next-gen” truly means, pushing performance past expectations with blistering speeds and jaw-dropping visuals. Its upgraded GPU delivers ray tracing at a fidelity that makes even the most familiar worlds feel new, while AI-powered upscaling ensures every frame is a masterpiece. Load times? Practically nonexistent—this machine doesn’t just play games; it launches you into them. The redesigned cooling system keeps things whisper-quiet, proving power doesn’t have to come with compromise. Sony didn’t just refine the PS5; they perfected it, setting a new benchmark for console gaming. If the PS5 was the future, the PS5 Pro is living in it.

Note: I play on LG G1 OLED with panel capable of 120hz and VRR.* The PS5 pro is everything that Sony built it up to be. Increased fidelity in higher frame rate modes with a little extra (PSSR) to boot. So far the games that I have tested (Horizon Forbidden West, Dragons Dogma 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077, and Black Ops 6) all perfom better than they did on the regular PS5 and those games in the list that are optimized by the developers for PS5 Pro feels like I’m playing them for the first time again, the upgrade is that impressive. Dragons Dogma 2 which had the pro patch on release day of the PS5 Pro looks so good in performance mode and I am getting a stable 60 FPS median in Balanced mode with ray tracing effects on. Before on the PS5 original, i was getting 30FPS with ray tracing on. To make things sweeter, PSSR brings out another level of detail in far ranging graphics this was noticable in Dragons Dogma 2 and Horizon Forbidden West more than the others. That all being said, a couple of the games i tested, Black Ops 6 and Cyberpunk 2077, which do not have PS5 Pro patches (cyberpunk might not ever have it) play just a bit better but if you werent OCD about graphics like I tend to be you probably wouldnt inow which console you were playing on if the images were side by side. This was very dissappointing as I believed the upgraded hardware itself could take these games to a new level of fidelity but it does not. At the time of writing this black ops 6 still gas not released its pro patch and my hope is that the unsightly graniness in 120hz mode might be solved by PSSR. I think we will see the true test of its capabilities in games further doen the road which will be produced to cater to the upgrade of the PS5 pro and not just patches for older titles, which is very exciting. All in all, the ps5 pro is worth the expense if you want the best graphics, which I did. I think it is worth noting again like i did in the beginning of this review that having a good TV set to really bring out the detail is important too. Especially one that unlocks the features of this console, VRR, 120hz so its potential can be realized. If you do not have a set that can atleast produce those outputs I would pass on the PS5 Pro.

I bought myself this for a year of hard work as a celebration. The graphics look amazing and the console is so quiet compared to the ps4.I was going to get a ps5 this past summer but heard of a ps5 pro series coming out & im happy that I waited for this machine instead as the performance is outstanding. My only complaint is they werent made with a disc drive That will have to be bought separately.I had to definitely buy one because I mostly only collect physical media.I cant be one of those digital only people as i like to display and have a case&manual for my $$ and you own it forever.(no worrying about losing it 5 years later over licensing issues lol)

Throughout my time using this product (about a month), I found myself to really enjoy this system. The performance is smooth and works great with my TV. The only issue I've experienced is that after a little while of gaming, the system would become noticeably hot, to the point where I was concerned about potential overheating. However, after some research, I found a cooling fan stand (as shown in the photo) that now keeps the system at a much safer, warm-to-the-touch state. With this being said, I would definitely recommend this system to anyone who has yet to get a PS5 system like myself.

Fast, quiet and storage capacity is great. This is my first PS5 and glad i waited this time around. First thing I did was purchase a disc drive and now the PS5 Pro is complete as it should have been in the first place. Yes it is pricey ,But so are PC components. You just have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself. I went back to PC during the PS5 shortage and when they became available in my area again the small hard drive was not a seller for me considering I would have to upgrade the SSD almost immediately. Most descent SSD NVME drives are two hundred plus dollars normal price. I can't wait to see where they take the Pro enhanced games.

Had it for 10 days now & i can say it is very worth it. What a console this console is so strong and so quiet.
Playing God of war Ragnarok it looks like I'm playing on PC. Upgraded from the OG PS5 to the Pro.
I just had to get the upgraded one the pro it's gonna play all the enhanced games, including GTA 6 and New The Battlefields. I just want to be prepared with great Fidelity and Performance Situations. This is a big step up from the PS5 OG's.
Even though I bought the PS5 in 2023 I knew I was gonna get the pro but the price was ridiculous, but I had to. I wanted bigger GPU, Bigger Ram, Advance, Raytracing, AI Upscaling with PSSR & even has 2TB memory. Thank God!

PS5 pro is super quiet, takes up less space than the OG PS5, has 2 TB of storage built in, and you can tell the difference in the graphics/performance. However, I’m not sure it’s worth the $200+ price difference. Not only does it not have a disc drive or vertical stand, but I don’t think most people would care about the performance difference. It would have been worth it if it came with the pulse/pro controller. Long story short - I like it, but it’s not worth it. You’ll get a better value with the regular PS5.

The PS5 Pro is worth it if your setup supports what it offers. What I mean is if you have a 4k TV that supports 120hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) then you will see the benefits of the added performance and higher render resolution.
This system is just as quiet as the original and uses no additional power/electricity. The 2tb storage is a bonus which makes it a little easier to justify the expense. PSVR 2 also benefits from the additional horse power
Your kids will love it!
