I bought this when I purchased my new Onkyo receiver. It was the largest subwoofer (speaker wise) than the other subwoofers I've used. It was easy to hook up to my receiver (red/white to red/white), no LFE port. I calibrated the sub with my other speakers using the speaker/receiver settings and it worked perfectly right out of the box. Love it!

I was worried about getting the 10' and not going for the 12" but this sub sounds amazing, it is great across the all levels too, even while listening to music, watching a movie, or gaming on the Xbox.

$99 for a Polk is a good deal. I’ve bought the 12” model in the past and it was a great sub. Worked well in a 5.1 system. This one I installed in a 2.1 just to fill up the family room better with lows - basically for Cable and Netflix.

This speaker adds a full robust non ghetto sound to your living or entertainment area the hand held remote offers several different desired modes of operation that are not mentally overwhelming or taxing to figure out setup to a quality sound bar is very easy. This is a really good buy at this outstanding sales price. In case you didn't know the Polk Audio company is a top selling brand in Japan and Germany so this says a lot about the brands quality it also has a large world wide fan base and customer following as well.

I own two of these Subwoofers and absolutely love them. They are high quality budget minded woofers that work great with my 2.1 system used to play vinyl, movies, video games, and digital streaming music. They add the depth and dimension that makes my system sound fantastic. I love the price and I love the performance.

Does a very decent job for being such a low end product. If you're building an entry level setup or just want to go cost effective, this does the job.

This is the forth Polk sub I have purchased. I had the PSW-10 which was a so so sub, but this one is quite a bit better in over all sound quality and fullness. There is some port chaffing when really pushed hard, but under normal use it sounds good.. Keep in mind that this is an entry level sub. It sounds good both with music and movies. This is not an SVS or an HSU sub, but it wasn't meant to be.

I was updating from stereo to surround, bought a new receiver, a Polk center channel, and other Polks for the rears. Kept my sub and fronts. Well, the first time I played a movie with any special effects, the 17 year old sub self-destructed. I went the next morning and bought this sub. Hooked it up, recalibrated the system, and it works great. Has excellent sound, a good price, and meets the need. It is not "boomy" like some subs I've heard. Just the right amount of bass to drive home the point, musically. I like it.

I purchased this when it was on sale for $99. you can't get anything with this quality for the money. Plenty of bottom end. Stays pretty tight Very little distortion. Remember great sub for the money. I'm not compairing it to subs costing more.

I am extremely happy with this sub-woofer, although this is my first home audio sub-woofer it performed exactly as I expected it to based on the other reviews I read. It really added a lot of depth to the rest of my surround sound system.

I have this hooked upto a 4K Yamaha Receiver. Out of the box the sub sounds a little funny. But after about a week of normal use and the sub working it self in the tones are deep and crisp. Great sub, just be patient for the sounds to deepen.

Very happy with this. I had existing Polk speakers, but my passive subwoofer just didn't work well with my new receiver. After some research this subwoofer got excellent reviews for its price point. Worked seamlessly and provided great sound.

This speaker has excellent reviews everywhere online, and you'll know why when you buy it - especially when you find it on sale for $99 at BB!!! I added this Polk sub to a set of bookshelf speakers for my computer workstation, and the full range sound and deep low-end is just heavenly. I also run this sub with a Sony XB60 for an awesome little party speaker rig that thumps all night long! Summary: 5 stars (list price) or 10 stars on sale for $99!!!

I have had many types of speakers. Right now I have BOSE front and rears. My center channel & sub woofer are POLK. The difference between POLK and most other upscale brands is price. They deliver great sound. POLK as a company (unlike BOSE and some others) doesn't deal in hype. So there products are very good at a fraction of the price,in many cases. I have never had an issue with ANY POLK product that I have owned. My first set of surround speakers(that were POLK) lasted 19 years. When I sold them, they still sounded great!!!
