I bought this sub to replace the small sub that came with a pre-packaged Yamaha suround system. The Yamaha system worked great but I like by bass and my dad is hard of hearing and likes to crank it up when he is visiting and I was afraid he would damage the small Yamaha sub at higher volumes.
The Polk sub is a great upgrade to a quality boxed surround sytem. The bass is clean and when needed, it shakes the walls. I am amazed at the amount of sound that comes out of this little box.

Great value for the money, really puts out a hefty punch. Might want to get a riser for it, though, it can easily rattle windows.

This sub is a great choice if your current sound system lacks the bottom end of the sound range. You'll be surprised at how much fuller your speakers sound when you add this sub. It is very easy to set-up and sounds great for the price. It adds to both music listening and movies.
I've heard better subs for a lot more money, but nothing as good at this price.

I recently updated my sound system, and I needed a new subwoofer. This one from Polk Audio is a very high quality subwoofer. The sound is great, and it was easy to install. A family member recommended it to me, and I've observed similar, high quality sound with his system.

I know very little about proper audio. I'm happy with in-ear buds that stay in my ear or over-the-ear wireless ANCs that don't hurt after an hour.
What I do know is that this sub wants very much to shake my house to pieces. I find myself adjusting the bass levels throughout a movie to prevent that from happening. Is it the sub's fault, or my inexperience? I have no idea, but this thing is so loud and I love it.

This Polk Audio 10" subwoofer replace a 15 years old double 8" JBL subwoofer system. The cone on the speakers finally gave out. I desperately tried to replace the speakers but to no avail. I finally received a referral from JBL for a company that could repair them. They were unable to confirm the speakers would play ok so I didn't feel good about that. I then decided to stop by Best Buy to see what they had to offer. To my surprise these Polk Audio 10" subwoofer speakers were on sale. When I hooked it it I was blown away by the quality of the base. I have a high end Denon receiver I purchased from Best Buy about 7 year ago. This Polk Audio rocks. I absolutely love it, love it, love it. Now I listen to music all the time and watch movies. Best money I have spent in a long time

I needed a decent subwoofer for my Denon receiver, and this was more than enough bass to fill our great room. The controls allow me to get a clean low sounds that don't travel through the walls to the neighbors' house. (Or, crank that sucka and really shake the floor--either works!)

Bought this on sale for $100 and it is worth every penny!! I replaced my 8” Polk sub that came with my 5.1 surround system and this was a huge upgrade. Much deeper bass with this unit and the box looks much nicer. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Sounds really good for a subwoofer in this class and at this price. I recommend if you're looking for a sub with good bass and if you're not looking to spend a lot of money.

Love this subwoofer so much, for a moderately cheap price compared to some other high end brands this is worth every penny. I have a Sony sub that is the same size and it doesn't touch this sub. When cranked up the house shakes, and I love it. Most definitely get this if you want to really make your bass boom. Not to mention it looks and feels great the wood texture and chrome and black sub looks amazing.

Bought it to supplement my vintage HK-20 speakers. I'm not driving it hard or loud, but rounds out the low end nicely. Larger than most subs, but I like it for the sound.

This is a powerful subwoofer. I have been very impressed with the sound it puts out. I think there may have been a discrepancy between the online listing and the owners Manuel but in terms of frequency response it will produce sounds as low as 35 hertz. It really shakes the room. This unit was on sale when I purchased it but for the price it really delivers a good punch.

I bought this for half price on a 3 hour flash sale that Bestbuy texted me about. (If you're not signed up for Bestbuy email alerts than you're missing out.) Just days after my small Infiniti 8 inch sub took a dump and wouldn't stop buzzing. I got a text alert about certain Polk speakers 50% off for 3 hours so I bit the bullet and picked this up along with a pair of T50 towers and a T30 center channel all for 1/2 off to go in my small home theater/ game room I'm building. Great buy with excellent bass for smaller rooms. Music movies and games all rumble nicely hooked up to my Pioneer Elite VSX90. You're not going to find better bass for less than $400. This thing kicks in my Dolby Atmos 7.1 setup. It powers on and off along with my receiver and has a nice crisp punch unlike the muddy bass you get from many subs in this price range. I'm not exactly an audiophile but I'm no slouch when it comes putting together great sounding home theatre systems on a budget. Thanks again Bestbuy for the flash sale! My wife may not share my enthusiasm though. Lol

Got this to replace an Onkyo sub that came as a package set with a surround receiver. Comparing it to my Infinity Sub it is not a subtle on delivering deep sounds but it far outshines the wimpy one that came with the surround system.
The only complaint I had immediately was the volume adjustment. It is really easy to set it either too high or too low. Unless you are very careful you either hear too much bass and you drown out all the dialog and subtleties of the sound of a movie or show, or you do not hear enough bass to make having the sub even feel like it is in the room.
Once you get a good level though, enjoy the explosions!

Finally decided to pull the trigger and get a subwoofer for my system in the living room. BB had these for a great price during a sale and after doing some research I bought them. Extremely easy to connect to my receiver and they sound amazing. I do not have to turn the volume up to high for this to get very loud. Really makes a huge difference when gaming, listening to music and especially movies. A must have!

Rocks My Pole Barn

This 29.5 lb little beast ROCKS my 32x40 pole-barn workshop with a receiver that's only 50 watts RMS per channel. The adjustments for frequency cut-off and volume allow me to dial in the (terrible, of course) acoustics of my woodworking, welding and spray-painting playhouse. It's 9 feet up on a shelf and non-directional, so out of harms way and truly sounds great!
