The controller works and feels like an xbox controlller, which was a major plus for me. It's not going to work for games like Mario Party 10, but works great with other titles, including Smash Bros.

I was looking for an alternative controller for the Wii U without having to pay for another Game Pad, and this works perfectly with LEGO Dimensions, Marvel Superheroes, etc. It has much better control than the standard Wii Remote and is compatible with a lot more games. Wireless, too, and seems to have a good rechargeable battery life.

It's a pretty simple controller with above average battery life. A very nice option to play your games if you don't care about that huge screen in the main game pad. Don't forget, however, that even if you use this controller (or a WiiMote or a GameCube Controller), the screen Game Pad is still needed to start games and it will always be on and connected as long as the WiiU is on (you can turn the screen off in the settings ONCE THE GAME HAS STARTED, but the screen controller is still connected and powered on).

Having played most home consoles, I can say that this controller is one of if not the best controller I have used. It is comfortable and just well designed. The battery life is amazing and it just feels like a quality product when you hold it in your hands. Nintendo should really move towards making these their standard controllers.

Much easier to use if you're an old school gamer. Would highly recommend if you plan on playing any older games that you purchase.

I like this controller a lot. It's great for games like Smash Bros and it's lightweight and comfortable. Only gripe I have with it is the layout of the X Y A B buttons. They are a little too close together and positioned a little awkwardly for me.

This controller is very light weight, very comfortable, and has exceptional battery life. It is a must have for your Wii U.

This controller is your number one tool when you are playing in the heat of battle. Unfortunately, not all games are compatible with it, and while many are, a few of those sacrifice a small amount of functionality versus the Gamepad. However, unlike the Gamepad, the battery lasts FOREVER. You will probably lose the included charging cable because you forgot where you left it, but it's OK, because any mini USB cable will do. The top of it is a little fingerprint prone, but a very minor complaint.

If you have a Wii U you have to get one of these controllers. The controller that comes with the Wii U is great, but it's hard to get used to (size, weight, etc.) This controller is much more comfortable (especially for racing) and I personally find it a little more comfortable than the latest generation Microsoft controllers (shape, button location, etc.). The response is good and synching is effortless. And the rechargeable battery really lasts. At $49 it's well worth it.

Durable, lightweight, days of battery life and a long usb cable for charging make this the pinnacle of controllers across any system, note I am just comparing to other systems you can only use this with the Wii U. The only thing that is a bit disappointing is how it is not overly useful for the system. because most games rely on the tablet controller for AR (augmented reality) features this controller can see a lack of use. I recommended two of the best games to use this controller with below.

I bought this controller with my Wii U, and highly suggest you get one. It has the same feel as an Xbox 360 controller in my opinion, but maybe a little lighter. I find that I prefer to use this controller over a Wii remote or even the Wii U game pad for most games. It is easier for extended play, and the battery life is epic.

This controller is much better than using the standard Wii remote, especially for Mario Kart 8. Much easier to control.

I am a regular gamer. I enjoy the Wii U when I'm not on my other console or when I have friends over. This controller is a great transition from another console to playing the Wii U. Don't get me wrong, the gamepad is awesome, but I prefer to use the pro controller when playing Super Smash Bros. Battery life is decent, wish it was a bit better (I probably play more than the average person). Highly recommend it to everyone trying to get the best experience from the console.

Works and connects quickly. Very comfortable grips. Battery life is well worth it, it stays charged for hours.

Well, I should say, best controller for me. My girlfriend doesn't like it because her hands are quite smaller and she feels the buttons are to far in for her thumbs to reach comfortably. Great battery life. Excellent feel and response. This should be the controller that comes with the Wii-U, not that sub-par gamepad.

If you want something that feels more like home then this the controller for you. It functions much like the gamepad does minus the touch screen and the fact that it already comes equipped with a rechargeable battery is awesome. It feels comfortable and has the feeling of being a cross of Xbox and PS3 controller design and layout. If you are dual playing either one of the new consoles and a Wii U then I definitely recommend getting this item.

This is a better alternative when you don't want to play a game with the Wii U Gamepad. It's very light weight and has a long lasting rechargeable battery.
