Customers consistently note the Dronium One RC Drone's ease of use, making it a great option for beginners. However, many express concerns regarding the drone's short battery life and subpar camera quality. Issues with motor reliability and control responsiveness were also frequently reported. Despite its affordability, these drawbacks may affect the overall user experience.

Basic Flying Fun

Got this as a gift. The camera stinks and the JPG are worthless, but it is fun to fly and no FAA registration is required because it is so small. It is hard to handle in even a modest breeze, but in still air it is a hoot. The battery only lasts for 7-minutes of flying and it can take an hour to recharge, so I am considering getting a few more of those. It comes with a few replacement parts included in the box, but after a few sessions I still haven’t broken anything yet.

The camera is ok, that's where the positives end. It is weak and is not able to maintain heading on highest speed setting against the slightest breeze. I've had nothing but difficulty flying this ridiculous waste of money. It was out performed by a $60 drone from radio shack.
The camera is of no use at all if it is not controllable out doors.
I received this as a gift and in 3 days I've spent more time working on it than flying it.
I'm thinking of removing the electronics and hot gluing to my smaller cheaper yet much more powerful radio shack drone.
Already had a motor fall apart.
Do not waste time or money on this junk...

Had it for a while now. Flew it quite a few times and it did good. But now I need a small gear for one of the motors that lost a tooth and cannot get the right one from them, then they just stopped contacting me all together..

Great Drone

On its slowest speed, it's fantastic indoors. It's extremely stable and not as touchy as others are ie, bouncing from floor to ceiling. The camera faces straight forward and it is what it is. It's not up to cinema quality, but you're not filming movies with a hundred dollar drone. Overall, I love it!

Being the 3rd drone I have bought I am very happy w this dronium...only fly mine outdoors even w a little wind it is very managable. Gotten plenty of charges out of it so far w only a motor failure just recently. I emailed and company sent me what I needed to get back flying. The other 3 drones barely flew long enough to enjoy before failures occured. The camera is decent, vids in daytime are decent depending on ur flying skills and pics are decent also..for 100 bucks it's a nice buy when campareing to rest of market

The drone itself is really cool but it's just a little hard to control but i bet if you get some practice you'll fly it just fine. :)

3 faulty drones in a row

I have now gone through 3 Protocol drones now in under 3 weeks. I am a skilled RC pilot with hundreds of hours on RC planes and helis and this is the one of the worst i've used. Its a well built little bird and i thought it would be a good, cheap one to teach friends and family but the control is terrible. It just loses connection randomly which had caused me to take back the first two thinking maybe it was just a faulty receiver. But now on my 3rd one about 3 flights in it just stops responding and flew into 100ft tree.I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PROTOCOL PRODUCT AGAIN.
P.S. The Drone is still in the tree.

As with all other less expensive drones it's pretty hard to fly. Once you get the hang of it you can keep it up for a few minutes. I got it for my son who is 6 and he doesn't like to play with it since it's so hard.
