While I deliberated going with something other than another set of Razer headphones seeing that my Kraken 7.1 v1 died abruptly despite being handled well and without any mistreatment, I can say that I am thoroughly pleased with my decision. The headphones are, in a word, superb. They are significantly more comfortable right out of the box when compared to the set they replaced: the band across the top is better constructed, the adjustment is more easily matched ear to ear, and the cups are softer and better fitting. Those features could be enough to win someone over, but it goes further than that. The sound is also better than the old set. They seem to be more tonally accurate, but this could be just my ears trying to pick out subtle differences. The increased driver size (now 50mm vs 40mm) is a nice touch. While these aren't audiophile headphones, they do sound quite nicely across the spectrum of music types I enjoy, everything from classical to hip hop. While the required Synapse software isn't the most optimized piece of kit, it does make them perform as they should and I would highly recommend you install it. It includes a nice, customizable 8 band equalizer with a lot of presets should tuning your own not be your thing. Synapse also allows you to control the Chroma lighting effects and to tune the 7.1 audio software. I could certainly say more, but I think there's really no point. Buy a pair and enjoy them. I know I do! Plus, they fit in seamlessly with all my other Razer gear. :) TEAM RAZER to the end... no question.

Was looking for awesome 7.1 surround sound headphones and these razer headphones seemed to fit the bill. After the a week with them I realized they are the best headphones I've even owed. Ive owned Sades and Logitech and the razer set just blows those out of the water. Also the mic is amazing and very clear. Just as good, if not better than my Rode mic. The only problem is, the muffs hurt my ears so I had to replace them. Once I replaced them, they are the best

Comfortable for a long time but they do hurt after a couple hours. Sound great and a excellent mic. No regrets.

I didnt expect this to be made of metal when i first looked at it in the store but i loved them even more when i found out. it is a good quality build just like it says it is and the sound quality is even better then my Beats. A draw back for some people might be that it does not plug into a headphone jack it plugs into a usb slot instead. Also if your like me and have had headphones where the on the ear muffs has come apart or torn and are worried about things like that happening dont razer has made it so that all u gotta do it twist the cushioning off and buy a replacement. Not cheap third party ones ether razer actually makes them and sells them on their website. it is definitly worth it for the price and will last you a long time provided you take care of them.

Great headset for sound and they feel good on the head

I use Bose QC35's for everyday use and love the balance they offer. With that said, I really appreciate the deeper low end these headphones offer for movies and gaming. They do a really good job of virtual surround and putting some oomph in games and movies. The Chroma feature pairs well with my other Razer devices.

The best part about this headset is the retractable microphone. All the others I've bought, the mic rotates up and down and always breaks. I've never had one break off, but the plastic mechanism inside breaks and the mic won't go back up. It just flops around. This was such a problem I have up with wireless headset mics altogether. This product has a cord, but the mic retracts in and out so it won't break. And the sound quality is great. No complaints so far with this product. Easy to install with no random complications like with the wireless ones, where I have to keep searching for solutions on youtube. Gotta say, all in all, it's a great product and has saved me money already.

My only complaint comes from having to basically run background software to get it to work properly. I wish it instead was a true plug and play with a Windows driver and no other software needed. Sounds great though, feels comfortable and looks cool.

Headset is very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Feels like high quality materials Has good bass, good surround sound. Overall a nice headset for gaming.

I recently upgraded from the V1's and overall i'm very happy with my purchase. The microphone quality is noticeable better and the sound quality is top notch. I can wear them for hours and barely feel a thing. As someone who streams his gameplay online however there is one thing that is a bit of a drawback. Using these headsets on the PS4 does cause the microphone audio to loop back into the headset causing an nearly instant echo. if you're using these on PC you wont notice the issue. But for what i paid and the other qualities that come with it, i can "Suffer" the echo. totally suggest getting these!

These things are just to beautiful to put down. Absolutely love the sound quality and the retracting mic. I wear these even when i am not playing any games or listening to music because a) why the not? b) they drown out my girlfriends nagging :-D c) you look and feel cool while wearing them. Besides, you better wear them as often as you possibly can, they are $115 headphones!

Used it on my console, on my PC, and on various other devices. No dip in sound quality and my ears don't hurt even after 6+ hours (unlike some other headphone brands out there).

Version 2, I love you! I used the classic previously for years and skipped the Croma version because it had too much bass. This version is perfect. Comfort = 10 Built to last? = 10 Sound after tweaking = 10 Adjusting each hz via the Razer Synapse program to fit your personal taste takes time, but worth it. For example if you play games that require hearing footsteps in 7.1, after adjustments you'll be in business!

Hurts the ears a little but that is expected with new over the ear headphones until you stretch them out. Sound is great. Got these from a recommendation from a coworker

I've been looking for a good head set for a while and i found this hoping it'd be okay. It's a step up from their previous versions and I gotta say they're great. My main focus was a good mic, and these definitely delivered on that. I tried the hyperx cloud 2's before these spending more on those than i did for these and compared to those, these are just so much better. Good sound, good software, nice customization, comfortable, only part I don't like is how big they look on your head. 9/10

Great bass, comfy, good surround sound, Synapse software is great. They're basically the best $99 headset.

There's isn't anything super spectacular about these headphones but they are just all around a solid product. They work well, feel well, and do what they are supposed to every time.
