If that's a huge sticking point for you then... These sound a lot better in 7.1 than the Steelseries Arctis 7 do in their 7.1 mode.

The digital surround sound is INSANE and the sound quality is even better. I highly recommend this headset!

Would be nice to have an adapter to go from usb to 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch, but as my gaming headphones they're perfect. And the 7.1 surround actually works.
