Razer Kraken X Ultralight white
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m still using this headphones as of 2024 and it still works excellent but the only problem is if you stain it with any other color you’re gonna have a rough time wiping off the stain.

Best headset in its price range!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset is suprisingly light and comfortable while maintaining the ability to reduce ambiant noise. The mic boom is small and remains out of the way while maintaing great audio to friends innthe party. These Razr headset as a good budget headset that is good for the average gamer. For use with computers is leaps and bounds ahead of most business headsets. For the price, you just cant beat it.

Great headset at a steal of a price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this bad boy on sale for $40, and I've got to say, it's an amazing little headset! I had an off-brand headset that eventually bit the dust, so I was looking for a nice replacement that wouldn't break the bank. I came across this and knew I had to go for it. I've had an amazing experience with previous Razer products, so the trust was there. Rushing back home to try out my new head-buddy, I was stopped from ripping the packaging apart by the mere presentation of said product. It looked great! Nothing looked corner-cutting to me, so I proceeded to respectfully unbox my new headsets. I'll list my yays and nays below. The Good --------------- - Excellent quality construction - Plush padding and comfortable fit - Great sound quality - Microphone quality exceeded expectations ---------------- The not so good ----------------------- - No fancy lights, just the essentials - Microphone is not detachable or retractable, but is bendable ----------------------- Verdict - I believe the Kraken X is an amazing deal for what you get. The option to enable Razer's 7.1 Surround through their application is a nice feature, and this headset provides great sound insulation too, but not completely deafening to the outside world. It's a headset that you'd expect to pay twice the money for, so take that as you will. Love it!

Good Value for Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good value. Light. They functional well enough, and sound better than their price. Too bad the mic isn't removable. If that isn't a deal breaker, you could sure do worse than these!

Light and Comfortable - Sound Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are my first headphones to use for Xbox gaming. I did not want to spend more than $50 since I will primarily use them for Elder Scrolls online (guild chat, etc.). I found them light and flexible. They are very comfortable - I have worn them for two hours as the longest period. They do not hurt my ears (nice memory foam) and I have studs in all the time. The sound is rich for inexpensive headphones and you can hear the difference in sounds/voices when you turn your character in different directions. The dolby (or Razer’s equivalent) is great - I did the free trial but I believe the code that camne with the heradphones gives you the Dolby for free but I have yet to figure that out. They connected perfectly to my Xbox controller. I actually look forward to playing ESO with them on.

Good Headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good headset, especially if on a budget. Sound quality is pretty good and I haven't received any complaints regarding my voice quality with the microphone. It is rather light so it rests comfortably over my ears, sometimes for hours at a time! I use it for my computer and Xbox One. I strongly believe, particularly with regards to the price, this is a solid headset. If you are willing to shell out 30 to 50 bucks more, you could certainly get a superior headset easily. But for this price (50 dollars and under) this headset is good

Purchased to Replace Astro A10
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent value at $39.99. Bought these as replacement for the Astro A10s used by my grandchildren. The Kracken Razer X has a better sound profile (lower frequency response) so the game audio sounds less tinny. The X is much light and is more comfortable to wear for long periods. It has a detachable cable. I personally like the location of the mute button and the volume control which is on the headset body. As an added plus, it comes with an optional cable if you want to connect it to a unit that has separate speaker/mic. All in all I'm satisfied and the grandchildren love them.

Don’t release the Kraken unless you have to
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As usual, product arrived right on time and in great condition, thanks Best Buy. Upon opening the outer box and reviewing the product itself, I was amazed with the quality of the packaging for the headset itself as this would be packaging that you’d expect for $200-$300 headsets. Here’s my honest review: Pros: 1. Extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear 2. Looks like a super expensive headset 3. Adjustable and flexible mic boom 4. Supposedly it has 7.1 surround sound audio 5. Great value for what you get Cons: 1. No way to adjust chat volume aside from game volume 2. Doesn’t come with a controller adapter, just the cable adapter to use for a PC 3. Mute push-button is actually on with the button in the out position, which is confusing 4. Instead of charging within itself, uses the controller’s batteries as a power source and drains the batteries quickly (only about 4 hours of use before needing a recharge) 5. Website to “download” the 7.1 surround sound audio is misleading and I can’t tell the difference anyways in the “enhanced” audio Conclusion: I highly recommend this as either an entry-level headset or a backup headset like I’m using it as. My original Turtle Beach XO-7 headset broke, so I got this as an alternative since I heard nothing but good things about Razor products for gaming and b/c it was on sale for $40 at the time. I have a Turtle Beach Recon 200 that I use now instead of this headset since you can actually control both the game and chat volume separately without needing an adapter and it has its own power source so it doesn’t drain the controller batteries like the Kraken X does. The Turtle Beach also has a really nice feature with automatically muting if you stow the mic in an upwards position unlike the confusing mute button on the Kraken X. So, until my Recon 200 bites the dust I won’t be using this headset but it’s still nice to have as a backup.

Affordable headset -- good quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my daughter's zoom calls (and minecraft) and was impressed with the features Razer was able to cram in for the price. Also is comfortable to boot. The only reason why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the volume on max still seems a bit low for me, and I would guess also for many gamers. On the other hand, if you're looking for headphones that will give a passable soundstage and won't blow your eardrums out, maybe these are for you.

Good for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not bad... not very loud but for the money, they sound pretty decent They are pretty comfortable and they look like they may last quite some time My Dr dre beats cushions are cracking up after minimal use and they costs 6 times more. These are good for gaming but I haven't tried the microphone yet. If you want a nice low cost over the ears product, there will definitely work

Kraken wired headset w/mic
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with these. We got an expensive headset from another manufacturer just over a year ago and it is useless. The plastic parts on it got brittle and wouldn't allow adjustment. Those bits held and headset speakers to the head band and they broke! After 9 months of use the mic stopped working for over a month and then suddenly started working again. My daughter and I used it constantly and because we had to adjust it each time, the expensive model got a work out. My daughter bought the pink colored headset from Kraken at the end of November '19 and I tried it out. That sold me. The expensive headset always felt like it was a vice gripping my head and started to make my ears sweat. That was bad enough but my daughter had the same issue. The Kraken headset was comfortable from the start and no worries about being too hot wearing. My wife and daughter surprised me with my own headset to replace the overpriced headset and I am so glad. This has extensions built into the band to expand to fit your head. This has a firm hold without making you feel like you've got your head in a vice. The headset mic is very clear and excellent voice pick up even if you put it down. It is very flexible and stays in whatever way you adjust it. Wearing this for hours at a time ( some days up to 8 hours ) has not been a problem at all. I hope this helps.

Great first buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty solid. This was my first ever headset and I really can’t complain. It has surround sound so you can literally hear things going on behind you in games. The headset is comfortable and adjustable. The only negative thing that comes to mind is that sometimes when I’m using it on calls it mutes buy itself but it’s on rare occasions. Pretty good over all :)

YAY! No more game noise in my house.....
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good--- but it's only been a couple weeks! Got these for my 8yo gaming daughter so I could have my phone back. She was calling her bff on facetime then setting the phone down as they played minecraft together... smh. SO glad not to hear she and her friends yelling crafting spells to each other. Fits great, adjusts well. Very sturdy, AMAZING price (deal of the day 50% off). The sound is very good, nothing bose-amazing but not junk. These should last a while.

Simple, inexpensive, good quality headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great set for the price. Features such as the volume and mute button on the left ear cup are more intuitive than the cord mounted versions, and the weight is good. My hearing is not perfect, but the sound is great to my ears and plenty loud enough on full volume. I do not use virtual visors of an kind so I cannot speak to interference there.
