Great set for the price. Features such as the volume and mute button on the left ear cup are more intuitive than the cord mounted versions, and the weight is good. My hearing is not perfect, but the sound is great to my ears and plenty loud enough on full volume. I do not use virtual visors of an kind so I cannot speak to interference there.

I bought 3 pair for my boys who go through headphones like their mother goes through vodka. They love them. They look smart because they’re all black, plus they’re comfortable for heads their size or even for my huge Irish melon. That’s pretty rare. I also purchased some other headphones for my once-a-week gaming/complain about the government sessions with old buddies which were more money at Best Buy. The Razors are better than those. So I steal them from the kids who are sleeping anyway by that time. The mic sounds great. Apparently my half-drunken 4-minute interjection-laden conspiracy monologues sound crystal clear to my buddies. Directional sound in games like Battlefield 1 and BF5 are pretty good. I have creepy little child-sized ears on my huge head, so I’m honestly not an audiophile that can tell between fine differences. But I will say they sound as good as my Beats and My wife’s AirPod headsets if that helps. I like Razor stuff. Granted, they probably make these things in the same communist China slave factories as everyone else. But maybe they pay the big boss a little extra because their quality control seems legit. I’ve been using The same Razor mouse for like 4 years and it finally crapped out a couple months ago. But that’s darn good considering I’m a pixel-pusher that puts many miles on it. That’s why I went with Razor headphones for the kids. They’re durable, good quality, and are a reputable player. Cons: the fact that the mic mute is on the headphones as a small button isn’t as good as the lift-up-to-mute other companies use. However, that likely means the mic is more durable in this case.

This headset is great! I can wear it for hours at a time. The sound is clear. The volume dial is easy to reach. I wish the mute button was located a little differently. If you put it down wrong you can accidentally mute the mic, but it's simple to unmute again. Maybe this is my headset inexperience, but I would like it if the mic fed into the earphones so I could hear my speaking better. I hear everything else but me.

My expensive Steel Series Arctis 7 headset decided to stop charging. Was planning on upgrading soon so I needed something to tie me over until then. The first thing I noticed was how light weight and comfortable these were. While the construction isn’t great being all plastic, They sounded awesome. Not as good as my $120 Steel Series or as good as my $150 Audio Technica’s, but for $50 you can’t beat it

Pros: very comfortable. My ears get irritated when wearing on-ear headphones, and the large cups on these clear my ears, I can wear them for long sessions. Sound is great, directional sound is amazing, volume controls are easy to access. Cons: Razer software doesn't always play nice with existing Windows drivers. I have a desktop PC with a 5.1 speaker system for sound and only occasionally wear headphones, but the Razer USB dongle wants to be the primary sound device. I've had some mouse-stuttering issues that I think are related to driver conflicts with Razer/Realtek. If you use these as your main sound system, all should be fine though. Also, these are not noise-cancelling, so if you're looking to really shut-out external sounds, you'll need to look elsewhere. Bottom Line: Great sound, good value for the price, skip the Razer software if you can.

Bought these as a Christmas present and they are pretty good for gaming. When you put the headsets on it dampens the outside sounds around you almost like noise cancellation. The build quality is good and very comfortable. The only downside is no detachable mic and the sound quality is around 7/10

Comfort: 7/10 Sound Quality: 7.5/10 Controls: 7.5 / 10 Price: 10 / 10 Good headset that is a great price for what you get. It's not audiophile but it does a great job as a value gaming headset. Personally I end up breaking gaming headset often enough that I don't want to spend $100 bucks plus.

I was hesitant spending this much on a headset vs a 20 dollar one from amazon. The Razers are very much worth it! The build quality is very solid, doesn't feel like it will fall apart when I adjust the headband. They are very comfy but like any thing over your head for a long period do they start to get "heavy", and I need to take them off for a minute. Mic is small and not in the way, no one has complained of being unable to understand me in chats. The sound quality is amazing you can hear absolutely every thing! Good deep bass and clean and clear high notes. But my favorite feature is the no LED lights! Cant stand how every headset as to have some sort of light, so glad Razer skipped them! Overall very happy with the headset and will be recommending them.

I bought this for my daughter who is for remote learning. We use it for a Chromebook. The sound quality is good and the mic works well but most importantly it is light and she can wear it for prolonged periods of time. It seems comfortable. For the price these are good.

Perfect for the money. Mic is super sensitive. Convenient mute button and volume dial on back of left ear cup. Nothing in the way. Lightweight. Doesn’t pinch your head after an hour of use. Comes with a free Dolby 7.1 surround emulation software, but it’s only compatible for PC. If you have a Mac, you’re just out of luck. But for $50, this is all you need.

For a budget $50 headset this is the best one I’ve owned so far. The male adapter and cord are quality. The cord seems thicker and higher quality than others. The headset it’s self is incredibly lite but for being plastic it still seems durable. Ive used mine for 3 months and the padding is still comfortable, no pressure points and I can wear it for hours and not know it’s even there. Overall it was way better than I thought it was going to be. As long as you don’t huck it against the wall it’ll last a while.

I think these are really good headphones. I first started with headsets that were much more expensive, and I was not a fan of those. But I went with these and they are the most comfortable, lightest, and the sound quality is really great. Even the mic works well, and I appreciate the ease of changing the volume and muting the mic as well.

You already know. It's a good value for this price category. The mic could be a bit longer. So can the wires. Without the adapter it's unusually short. Those are the only negatives. It's comfortable, light, and good sound. Easy to download the surround sound but almost missed it. It's a qr code found inside the box.

This is a very comfortable unit with decent (though not exceptional sound). The only issues that I have with it are A. The patch cable included (to split the single 3.5 mm Jack into separate mic and headphone jacks) is pretty flimsy. I'm a bit worried that it will break sooner than later but so far so good & B. I couldn't get the 7.1 software to work properly. After hours of messing with it, I had to uninstall it altogether. Excluding those 2 issues I'm pretty happy with it.

I have used a lot of headsets in recent years; some for console and some for pc. The Kraken X is honestly the best headset I've ever reviewed for this price. The comfort is phenomenal, the cups cover my entire ear; and that's saying something since most headsets always felt tight on my head, and only covered up to my earlobe. With these, I can barely tell they're there. The sound, even without implementing Razer's 7.1 Surround Sound program (which btw is a great add-on, bundled free) is so rich and clear. Bass is nice and boomy, but you can still hear the tiny details of what you're listening to with clarity. I mainly bought this just as a stand-alone headset and didn't plan on using the mic, but using it on Discord, my friends have noted how clear my voice comes through. Some compared it to my condenser mic that I normally use and said there's almost no difference; this headset is only $50, people! In conclusion, Razer knocked it out of the park with this iteration of the Kraken, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new daily headset.
