Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Multidirectional Indoor HDTV Antenna's excellent reception and picture quality, along with its ease of use and the ability to receive many channels. However, some users mention needing a stronger signal and improved range for optimal performance. A few also point out that the cord length could be longer and that placement may require some consideration for best results.

Great antenna for the price. If you have just digital tv, this one works fine. You can hang it up and out of the way and it picks up lots of channels.

great simple antenna easy to set up but may not work great for all applications in a city environment with no clear line of sight to the cable signal

I chose this antenna based on the reviews and have been pretty happy with it after several weeks of use (KC Metro area, receiving over-the-air HD signals) There are a couple channels it doesn't pick up, and the signal occasionally breaks up - seemingly when someone walks in front of it. That said, it's mounted low on the wall immediately behind the TV (so it's not visible in the room), and in the center of the house; probably not the ideal location for reception - it might do better higher up and "aimed" but it's working well enough that I haven't bothered.

I don't have cable and now that my all channels have gone digital and I can't get local channels through my coax cable, I needed a solution. This antenna does the trick for me. I plugged it in and I get about 15 channels now, including the big ones I wanted: Fox, CBS, NBC and ABC. This sits in my bedroom on the 2nd floor. I haven't tested this on a lower floor, but where it is now is where I plan on keeping it. Also, the pictures are nice, clear HD.

I just wanted something basic for local channels and this has done the trick, plus more. Very easy to install and I have about 50 channels. The signal does go in and out a bit but I think it is because it is not in the best spot for reception. This unit is worth a shot if you are look for something cheap and easy and it works with a great picture.

I wasn't expecting an antenna, under $40, that would come in perfect with no issues, however I was disappointed when NBC and CBS (both which are within miles from my house) lost signal a lot and didn't work about 80% of the time. Easy to set up and hardly any issues other than the occasional moving of the antenna in the right spot to get a better signal, especially for a couple select channels which I thought would certainly come in with no issues. It's a good buy and compared to others in the same price, has much better reception.

This is my first antenna purchase. I am pleased so far with this antenna. at first I hung it up on my wall behind my TV but the signal would come and go sometimes like that. Now I have it laying flat and it works much better. No more lost signal or any other issues. I wasn't able to get one of the major networks for some reason but that may have to do with my location. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

We're currently using a converter box as we don't have cable installed at this house. The rabbit ears had been knocked around one time too many and I was tired of having to reposition them to get different channels. This slim, unobtrusive antenna gets great reception on local channels (and no more getting up to move the antenna every time I want to watch a different channel)! Definitely worth the small price!

Set-up is very easy, simply screw this into your TV and run the channel scan. I was able to pick up the basic TV networks using this, ABC, NBC, FOX, CW, but nothing else. I know there are some other free over-the-air channels available in my area, but they must be located too far away for this antenna to pick up their signal.

I'm tired of the monthly increase in my cable bill. It's tripled in the last 3 years and all I have is expanded basic TV. No premium movie channels at all. So in an effort to cut the cord I bought this antenna to see what kind of channels I could get over the air. I just plugged it in to the TV where the cable TV cable was and hit auto program. To my amazement, I got tons of new channels that I have never even heard of. The major networks were there CBS,NBC,ABC,FOX and their off shoot channels. The only reason I took one star off was it can be effected by weather pretty severely. We got rain one day and the picture was all pixelated until the storm passed. No problem ,I just switched over to my streaming service and got the channel I wanted. Decent performance at a fair price. Now I have a condo that is in a different region and NO antenna I've tried has brought in more than 2 channels so I want to take this there and see if it can do its magic there too. My reception at home in the Quad City Area of Iowa is great and its just laying on the TV cabinet behind the TV. Your performance might vary greatly..

Directions were not the best but once you figure them out you can get about 26 channels with this antenna. The signal is great on some local stations but not so good on others. I was hoping to get more local stations. It takes some getting use to. But if you are looking to get rid of cable it's a good way to start

Positioning makes all the difference. Gained an extra 10 channels by placing it in the window (as opposed to under the TV on the TV stand, 2 feet away from window). Most channels come in well, had to actually type in certain local channels that did not get picked-up on the channel scan. Have one in a bedroom that is nowhere near a window and still get very good reception.

The RCA - Multidirectional Indoor HDTV Antenna - Gloss Black is easy to connect. It works best when placed near a window and hung high. I do find myself frequently re-programming the TV to pull in more channels. The first couple of times, only 22 channels came in but after a few more repeated attempts, I was able to access 67 channels. If I could change anything about the product, it would be to (1) make it wireless so that the cable isn't running up the wall, perhaps a wireless solution; (2) make it so that I don't have to keep re-programming the TV to get the additional channels; and (3) I have to unplug the antenna in order for the Roku 3 to work properly and not lose the programmed TV channels. When the Roku 3 setup is complete, I can only get 22 channels. These three reasons are why I only gave it 5 stars.
