5-Star product but only gets 4 stars....but gets 5
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I wanted to give this product a 4 but it wouldn't be fair to the product because it actually does sound good. I made a video review on this microphone here...https://youtu.be/dkR4_8QKHJk To give a brief review using my words, this microphone sounds good and is an easy plug and play product. It is quite small In size so concealing it under clothing is easy. Other then it's very short 4'2" cable length, I couldn't figure any other bads about this microphone. It is pretty sensitive to picking up ambient sounds depending on the DB levels. Of all the microphones whether wireless or shotgun styled, I almost never find myself using this Lav mic. My ratings are strictly based off the microphone's performance which is rather excellent. Rode never said this microphone came with a long cable, they never advertised it as the best lav mic on the market or anything false. In my personal opinion, I would say this microphone is best used for settings where the ambient noise is below 78db. It works fine in noisier environments, just be ready to hear the backround noise in your output when playing back the audio. I want to be clear that this lav microphone is a "close range" microphone. What that means is whatever you want to connect this to needs to be within an arm's reach. I've used this for vlogging with my GoPro having it directly connected and with a 22" selfie stick fully extended, I've reached the cord's max length "when concealing the cable inside my shirt". This lav microphone works very very well with my Rode wireless Go incase you guys were wondering. It allows more flexibility with microphone placement of you don't want to use the Wireless go's transmitter itself which I have a video on that microphone as well. - yes you can use this with a personal recording device (as long as it has a 3.5mm input jack for you to connect this in) - yes you can use it for your DSLR or point and shoot camera (also as long as it has a 3.5mm input jack) - I use this with my Samsung note 10+ using the "Voice recorder app" and with my GoPro Hero8 inside the media mod. A special adaptor is needed to use this with your modern samsung and apple phones that no longer have a 3.5mm input jack. - I am not sure if you could use this with a laptop as a dedicated microphone for web chatting or anything relative but if your device has a didicated microphone input, I'm sure you could. You guys could always reach me on Snapchat, Gmail or on my YouTube channel @ Jonasegway. I like to do random test with equipment of all sorts with as many different scenarios as possible, grabbing as much information as possible so hopefully I am able to answer your questions or concerns you may have on this product. Enjoy your day and hopefully you'll find good use of this mic.

Great product!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The RØDE mic is very useful. It has a TRS input, so you can directly plug it in to your camera without any adapters. It also comes with a carrying case for the mic. I find that the mic is very good at picking up your voice when it’s clipped on your shirt. I find that this device makes video production so much easier. Five stars.

Great quality, well built.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple and to the point. Very good audio quality without having to buy a complicated setup. Can optionally be used with Rode Go wireless receivers, which is a huge plus if you're at a distance from the recording device or moving too much.

Nice mic for live chat
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my lost purple panda lav. I use it on my computer for web chats and webinars. I don't like listening to everyone else's bad built in mics, so I am trying to lead by example. So far everyone who I asked says that it sounds great. Ran a couple of recorded files to verify and it sounds at least as good as my old lav mic (a little better) and i like the size of the mic. I have better mics for my wireless systems I use to record video, but this would work well for recording if needed. Only downfalls are the short cord, little high price, and lack of any adaptors. Still, I would buy it again if I needed another lav in a pinch.

Perfect for hiding the mic
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently grabbed the Rode Lavalier Go for my work, where I'm primarily recording other people for short info videos. What is great about this mic is that it's all about keeping things inconspicuous when I'm recording someone else, and this microphone nails it. There's no bulky recording device hogging the spotlight around their neck. It's sleek and subtle, which keeps the focus on them, where it should be. The audio quality is super clear, making the voices of the people I'm recording sound top-notch. It's a fantastic choice for capturing interviews, conversations, or any other audio you're after. Setting it up is a breeze, even for a non-pro like me. Just plug it in, clip it on your subject, and you're ready to roll. And with the included windshield, you can count on noise-free recordings, even outdoors. This mic keeps things discreet and ensures excellent audio quality, making your job a whole lot easier. Give it a shot; it won't let you down.

Great pairing for the wireless go mics
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Rode Lavalier mic has been a great addition to my setup. The sound quality is clear and professional, and it does a really good job of picking up voice without bringing in too much background noise. It is small and easy to clip on which makes it perfect for interviews, presentations, or filming content on the go. I have used it for both casual and professional projects and it has held up well. For the price and quality it is definitely a microphone I would recommend.

Good sound quality, on par with cheaper models
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1- This microphone has a TRS jack which is only good if your device has a separate microphone input (e.g. DSLR cameras, it laptops with dual input and output). In other words, it does not work on devices with a single combo port (like most of the newer laptops or almost all cellphones) unless you use a converter. Combo Jack's are TRRS not TRS. 2- Sound quality is great but not significantly better than cheaper but decent models available on market. 3- Material and make quality is not impressive, considering the brand name. Wire is very thin, and the jack is not the highest quality. 4- Wire length is too short if you wanna seat a bit farther from the camera. 5- The clip is very handy, but again not the best design. 6- In conclusion, although I like Rode brand, for this one I would recommend a cheaper decent model which also includes converters and sometimes expansion wires in the package. You can find really good or even better ones for third the price. 7- I ended up returning this model.

Good lav mic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great mic. Omni directional, it works well, but isn't great for PC gaming, which is what I wanted it for. It picks up keyboard noise and other background noise. As a lav mic, it works very well - clear audio.

Best LAV mic on the market
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lavalier GO has been a reliable tool for interviews and on-camera work. It clips easily and stays secure without drawing attention, and the sound quality is clear and natural for voice recording. Paired with a wireless system or directly into a camera, it gives a professional upgrade over built-in mics. The cable is thin and flexible, which helps with hiding it under clothing, though it does feel a little delicate — I’d be careful with rough use. For the price, the performance is excellent, and it’s compact enough to carry a couple in a kit. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want a dependable, discreet lav mic without breaking the bank.

best lav mic
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.he RØDE lav mic is seriously one of the best investments I’ve made for content creation. Super clear audio, barely any background noise, and it clips on easily without being bulky. Perfect for interviews, voiceovers, or TikToks where you want crisp, pro-level sound. It works great with my iPhone and camera setup — just plug in and go. Build quality feels solid too, like it’ll last a long time. If you’re tired of muffled or echoey audio, this mic makes a huge difference.

Very Handy!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mic makes things super handy while producing great audio. Although not the smallest lavalier mic out there, this one is still small enough to do the trick. It’s certainly a little pricier than others you may be able to find. However, with Rode you’re guaranteed a quality mic, and that’s exactly what you get. A great addition if you’re looking to upgrade the audio on your content.

Great Lavalier microphone for wireless systems.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality audio from the LAV mic. I trust anything RODE creates when it comes to professional audio. I originally intended to use these Lav mics on the Rode Wireless Go I and II. But now that I have transitioned over the the newer DJI Wireless Mics, I still use this lavalier on a different system and it's only one of the few mics out there that does not give any weird noises when paired with a wireless system. It's a bit more on the pricey side compared to other lavs, but to me its worth it.
