Wow! It was fairly simple to install and it works to a charm. Had to do a little creative placing due to construction framing but extremely satisfied. Best Buy had a fantastic price. This unite won our with me because it came with two controllers. By ADT. Love the app that controls the system. Great value. Love it!!!

The system has everything we needed for our home. The setup was very easy following the directions in the app. I love the fact that you don’t HAVE to run power to the keypads. I turned the power save mode off which allows them to light up if they detect motion, otherwise the lights turn off. Integration with the Ring Doorbell 2 is a nice touch, and it all works seamlessly. The only thing I wish is that the base station for the alarm would chime when the doorbell was pushed. Not a knock on Ring, just something I was hoping it would do. I have ordered their Chime Pro to gain that functionality. All in all a great system at a fraction of the cost of other systems, and no contract.

Very simple to install. Nobody comes close to Rings price for the monitoring service. I saved money on my home owners insurance by installing so its nearly free. Everything worked perfectly and have had no issues with the alarm since the installation.

This was a great alarm system at a great price, I had ADT for 2 years and disliked every bit of it. Ring made set up easy and works perfectly with my existing doorbell. Have recommended it already to a friend who purchased it. No long term contracts and affordable.

I have been researching and tried multiple DIY security systems. Would say this is the best one as of now because of the price point, only $10 per month for 24 hour monitoring, which is the lowest in the current market and plus point is it only took 45 mins to setup whole thing. i had 3 touch sensors, 2 motion sensors, 2 keypads and base station with extender. My house is a 1800 sq ft, but still all the sensors are working with the range extender, but still plugged it in to have more frequency. I d heard that there is a fee for false alarm and if the police is dispatched. Am not sure yet how much would be the fee. i have no negative points as of now, i still have wait and see what happens if there is an false alarm and no one response the emergency contact numbers. All the system is kind of pre activated to the base station. You just have to link base station, then it will start auto detecting the sensors.

I compared a couple different security systems and I'm very glad I got the ring. My needs were pretty simple- I wanted to know if any of my doors were opened and if there was motion in my hallway/family room. This system does that splendidly. Setup was extremely easy (way easier than the doorbell) and I love that I can arm/disarm through my phone OR Alexa! I also have 2 small dogs and I was initially worried they might set off the motion detector when the system was armed for away mode, but so far (a month with the system) I haven't had any problems with this. Add in the fact it's $10/month for professional monitoring (or free if you already have the $10/month subscription from other ring devices), there's a water sensor you can buy that I put in my water heater tray and it's backed by Amazon so you know it will continue to get updates and I'm sold!

The system is easy to install. The batteries seem to last unusually long between charges, which is a good thing. In the beginning stages we kept the keypads constantly wired to power and experienced issues with the keypads locking up. Once support told us, to keep them on battery until charging time, that problem was alleviated. The whole system syncs to the cameras and to alexa. Its nice to pay $10 a month for monitoring, video storage from every device, and lifetime warranty on every part. And even better that we can arm the system while talking to alexa and never have to open the app.

I just set up the Ring Alarm yesterday and so far I am very happy. I already have a Ring doorbell, so getting the alarm from ring was a no-brainier. The $10 a month monitoring charge that includes camera storage is what really sold me. I was already paying $3 a month for the front door... I looked at some of the competitors, but even the cheaper plan from Simply Safe was more expensive and did not let you use the app. I chose the $300 kit over the $200 because it provides a better value if you were to buy the extra components a la carte. Installation has been very easy. The keypads can operate with or without being plugged in. The only negative thing I can say so far, is that the contact sensors are a little bigger than I would prefer.

After moving to a house, my wife and I looked in to various alarm system options. With paid services extremely expensive, we decided to purchase the Ring Alarm system after owning their Video Doorbell Pro. The Alarm was worked great and very easy to use! The Best Buy kit includes an extra keypad and sensors which work well for our 4 bedroom house. The alarm is easy to alarm and I like the Home mode to arm it when we're sleeping. The contact sensors all work well when windows or doors are open. Ring also continues to update the system, with tighter integration with its cameras like the ability to start recording videos when the alarm is tripped, The Ring Protect Plan at $100 a year is so much cheaper then any competing paid services as well.

I'm a current FrontPoint owner. We moved out of our house and buyer wanted the FrontPoint system, so I needed a new system in my new house. Did lots of online research. Came down to SImpliSafe and Ring. The monitoring fee sold me. Ring has the lowest monitoring fees. It was very easy to set up. The base system only comes with one contact sensor, so I bought an additional 4 boxes which have 2 per box. So, the upfront cost is similar to the other systems. I haven't installed my doorbell camera yet - that's coming but Ring has a long history with doorbell cameras so I expect only good results. I can arm/disarm from my phone and from the keypad. I'm still learning the system, but so far I'm happy. I give it 4 stars because it doesn't have the customizations like FrontPoint did, with setting some sensors to monitor only (not trip alarm) and it only comes with one contact sensor in the system. I'll be especially glad when I see $30 back on my budget each month that I'm saving on monitoring fees.

Purchased this week. Online info indicated comes with all batteries fully charged. You will need to fully charge all before installing. Purchase extra battery/s and charger. Installation was not too difficult for this technology challenged senior citizen. Had to contact Ring Help for a couple of questions and both reps were friendly and very helpful. Cell phone is used in setup and you may need to cut off your password auto fill on phone to accomplish install and then turn back on. I spent more than I planned but I’m satisfied. You can also join Ring neighbors to see their posts or post yourself re crimes and suspicious activities in your area.

I purchased this home security after deciding to cancel a major alarm company. The system was easy to install. The overall cost didn’t break the bank. I don’t have to pay a lengthy leasing fee in contrast to other alarm companies. The only con with the security panel is that it doesn’t announce when the door opens and closes. However, I receive a detailed message on my phone. I was just use to my last alarm talking. The Ring only ping/ring but no talking. Yet, my payment for the alarm monitoring is by far less for Ring versus my other alarm company. The panel is not hard wired but mounted on my wall.

I am AMAZED by this alarm. I’m as knowledgeable about technology as a baby and I installed this system, all alone, in under 45 minutes! The monitoring part is also top notch! Ring employees are always there to assist 24/7! “$10 a month! No contract, 1st month free! You also get access to the neighbors app which alerts you of crime in your area! They even find lost animals! I feel that this is way underpriced for the value compared to competitors that require expensive contracts! ZERO CONTRACTS HERE AND UNDER 1/2 THE PRICE!

Pros: 1. Easy to set up. Installing and pairing are easy. Even a non tech savvy person can install this system with minimal difficulty. 2. Paring. The ability to pair with existing Ring cameras make this system even better. 3. Installation. You can choose to drill holes or use the adhesive to stick it to the wall. 4. Functionality. I like the fact that the door sensors make a sound each times the door is opened even without the system being armed. 5. Functionality. The key pad and alarm run on battery after power outages. 6. Ongoing costs. You can self monitor or have pay for professional monitoring. Not many negatives about this system apart from the fact that it is a bit bulky and not exactly cheap. However, the price reflects what you get, which is a lot.

Both the equipment & monitoring service is much cheaper than ADT & Vivint so even though I wish the keypad was more aesthetically appealing it functions as it should so for the money I saved (vs other systems) I’m ok with that. This comes with a free month of monitored service. The 1st week is just for practice (not monitored) to give you time to get used to the system but you have the option of opting out & it having monitored immediately. I recently got cats & forgot to adjust the motion detector settings for when I was away from home & they set off the alarm. The representative that called me was very nice. My free month is about to expire & I will be signing up for their monitored service. Another thing I really liked is how easy this was for me to install, set up, & even to add other items to it like my CO/smoke detectors.

Great little alarm system. I not only protect my house but these sensors will work on a detached garage and a shed that is behind the garage. The monitoring is also awesome. When I am at home I can just set the alarm to monitor the detached garage and shed. Sometimes I even forget to turn the alarm off before I open the garage or shed and ring is calling me in just seconds after I accidentally set off the alarm. At $10 a month for monitoring you can't beat this.

In the time that I've had this Ring Security Kit, I have not had any issues at all. Installing it was easy, the app works really well with no glitches or crashes, the app allows you to set your alarm from wherever you are. For example, if I leave for work and forget to set the alarm in the morning, I just open up the app and set in Away mode and it provides confirmation that Ring has been armed in Away mode. It works with Echo as well, just say, "Alexa arm Ring." and vice versa. Happy customer!
