I have been using Ring cameras for a long time at my home. These indoor cameras work perfectly for indoor use. The quality is clear and the set up is seamless. The night vision is also clear to see people on camera in low to no light. I also use the outdoor cameras and with Ring, you can control everything from the app from anywhere at anytime. Lastly, the two pack together is a great deal for the price!

One HUGE Flaw
I have owned multiple ring cameras for indoor and outdoor use for years. Since they came out with the shutter version, it’s by far the best because when you close the shutter, it SHUTS OFF the camera. When you close the shutter on this new model the camera STAYS ON and the microphone STAYS ACTIVE. In my personal opinion, it’s not worth upgrading to this model as the camera is better, but due to the fact that it will NOT SHUT OFF when I put the privacy cover on, I’m sticking with the old models.

We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The Ring Indoor Cam Plus features a built-in privacy cover that physically blocks the camera lens when closed. However, the microphone remains active by default when the cover is closed. To disable it, open the Ring app to the main dashboard, tap the menu, tap Devices, select the camera, tap the Device Settings tile, select Privacy Settings, then tap the Audio Streaming and Recording toggle to turn it off.
