My son loves these. They only last about 7 to 8 months before breaking, but he hasn't wanted any other kind. He says the mic works great and his friends can hear him clearly while gaming. He also says the hearing is clear with no problems. As stated, they seem to break in less than a year. The first time, the hearing went out, next pair the mic went out, and this last pair, the part connecting the ear piece and head gear broke while he was taking them off. Now, that last break could have easily been a result of him taking them on and off through the months, as those gamers get really amped up while playing lol! But, he just added another pair to his Christmas list, which I bought.

A bit bulky but great headset. Love the ability to scroll through what level of ANC/Transparency for outside sound I want to have, and the quality of sound output. It's a bit on the bigger side, but very comfortable even while wearing glasses. Playing different survival games and being able to hear sound from specific directions in game is exceptional. Love the customization abilities in the software program, as well.

Good Gaming Headset with Cool RGB

These are some pretty comfortable headphones with ups and downs. I used them mostly while gaming and falling down the YouTube rabbit hole.
THE GOOD
~ 10 Channel equalizer
~ Base EQ
~ Easy pairing
~ Love the RGB effects (Even though I can't see them when wearing them LOL)
~ Good Mic
~ Comfortable
~ Good Sound (with tweaking)
~ Swarm software (Includes fun things like monster voice).
~ Battery life. I have been gaming with these for about 4-5 days now and still have 50% battery life.
~ USB-C
THE BAD
~ Doesn't come with a mic muff (but what mic does now?)
~ Noise cancelling. They don't make me deaf to outside sounds like some others do.
~ Lost bluetooth connection a couple times. I could hear the other person, but they couldn't hear me.
THE MEH (could go either way)
~ Signal Range... It is not a great range. It isn't horrible, either. I think I get about 20-25 feet away before it starts dropping on me.
~ Sound out of the box is meh, but with the equalizer, you can adjust it to perfection. It just takes a bit of time.
~ Definitely sounds better with 7.1 activated than 2.0.
OVERALL
I like the sound quality from these now that I have taken the time to set them up. Out of the box, they sound a bit tinny. They do a good job at attempting surround sound, but there's only so much you can do when they are on your ears. As might be expected, the "behind" sounds are a little lacking. Even still, I think for gaming purposes, you will get used to it and be able to determine if someone is on your 4, 6 or 8.
The padded strap across the top makes for a comfortable fit. They are lightweight and don't feel like I have a vice squishing my head together. They can get a bit hot...but which earphones don't? If I have to point to the thing I like least, it is the noise cancellation. When I am gaming, I can still hear my wife. HAHA. Ok, seriously... with the volume turned up, I can't hear as many outside noises. When the game or video is silent, I can hear everything. The mic seems to pic up a lot, even with mic noise cancelling activated. You can change the mic sensitivity. I have it down around 15-20%. It still picks up a little background noise.
These look cool. I love the logo and there is a lot you can do with the RGB sides with the Swarm software. Definitely good for gaming and matching RGB rigs.

from the start this a beautiful headset all blacked out top it off with RGB and surround sound? you got yourself a deal
Pros
- this is wireless gaming headset that comes with a tiny usb receiver, in the box also comes with USB C .
- the look of this headset looks great, the leader ear covers are very comfortable, looking at just feels premium
- main headset comes with matted plastic material that looked and feel great
- you also have the ability to adjust game/chat audio through
- 7.1 surround that should help during gaming, was playing warzone and I was able to here the sounds of boxes from distances I normally don’t hear,
- the headset have the ability to de attach from the headset, so if you would rather use other microphone like I do, the headset works fine
- battery life suppose to last for 24hrs and I haven’t had any issue, the roccat swarm software will also have a setting for you to check how much battery is left
- you can also rotate the headset 90 degrees if you enjoy placing your headset flat on the table
- speaking of Roccat Swarm Software, it has tons of option to adjust your audio to your liking, you can even change how your voice will sound it’s called Magic voice change from Monster, Cartoon, Male or Female. cool extra feature
- if you have other Roccat equipment you can match the RGB lights from this to your keyboard or mice
- I haven’t had any issue with this headset, it was comfortable for me to wear, a long sessions of gaming did not make my ear hurt
Cons
- not sure if it’s just my Elo headset but the microphone keep going on and off, my buddy mention that the quality was not that great either during gameplay, I kept having issue to plug in and out to just see if it would work, but it literally stop working on me on multiple occasions, and decided to just use my Blue Yeti
- seems like using the Swarm software back and fort will bugged out the mic
- sounds seems flat at times , I decided to use the FPS audio setting and I feel like it’s missing certain clarity of the audio, (this was tested using 7.1 settings) I would recommend to adjust the settings on your own to find the sweet spot for ya
- I did not like the microphone placement on this headset , it bothered me I feel like it should been a lot lower, this might be just my preference but I did not like it at all
Elo 7.1 is an amazing headset no doubt will a little issues on my end, the look and feel is top notch! Roccat software is amazing, specially using it with their AIMO lighting technology, not perfect 5 star but highly recommend this headset for the price, still an amazing value!

My first impression was that Roccat Elo 7.1 Air, was that it looks like a professional headset from an E-Sports competition. I kind of like this design. The flexible metal band allows for the headrest to fit almost any head size and shape, making them very versatile and comfortable. I must mention that I was a bit worried that these would be too bulky and that this would be an issue when playing as I tend to move around quite a bit. I am happy to say that this is not the case as they are light at a little over 12oz and the rotating cups, along with the soft memory foam earpads make them comfortable to wear for long periods -even when wearing eyeglasses. While they did shift when shaking my head, they never fell off as the clamping pressure is tight, yet not quite as to give one a headache. The soft headrest does not put too much pressure on the top of my head, which is the main reason why I cannot wear other headsets for too long. The earpads did get a bit hot after a couple of hours, but unless you are wearing cloth padded sets, which may leak sound, this is an unfortunate issue for most to deal with.
These cans seem very well built and durable. The hard plastic ear cups are well attached to the headband and the swivels rotate without creaking. The metal band flexes almost horizontally, and the headrest has a springiness that I hope will become loose up any time soon. The detachable mic seems sturdy enough as well. The earpads are made of soft memory foam covered by pleather-like material and look like the seams are well stitched. Since these are matte, I did not see any fingerprints at all. The controls are on the left cup. There, you can control volumes for the sound and mic, mute, and on/off power.
The Roccat Elo Air can produce rich, full, enjoyable sound. However, you MUST download Roccat’s SWARM software to make this happen. Out of the box, the sound is somewhat decent. The highs are not piercing nor fatiguing. The mids are a bit recessed but still have some clarity. The bass, unfortunately, was a bit lack-luster as I thought it was too weak and loose for my taste. Luckily, all my gripes were cleared once I used the SWARM software to fully customize the sound. Besides all the pre-set custom settings, there is a lot of room for changing every aspect with the equalizer. I ended up with a sound experience worthy of the 50mm drivers of this headset -including a full 7.1 simulated surround sound. The superhuman hearing feature did not really change my experience as I found it a bit gimmicky and thought that it simply pushed the high and mid frequencies forward too much, which affected bass.
Being gaming headsets, these must have RGB lighting. Well, I like that the logo and brand light up quite nicely without being obnoxious. They compliment my PC rig and set up perfectly. By the way, this can all be customized through the SWARM software, which again, I highly recommend downloading.
The removable mic worked rather nicely. I was told that my voice came in full and clear. I did not experience break-ups due to the stable connection these headsets have with the 2.4GHz transmitter (and my awesome internet connection).
Roccat claims that the battery can last 24 hours. In my experience, they lasted short of 19 hours. This may be due to the fact that I had the sound at over 75% and boosted the bass significantly. These cans charge using an included USB-C to USB-A cable. Sadly, this headset cannot be used with just the USB cable should the battery run out mid-game, so check the battery status with the SWARM software.
While not perfect, I found myself liking these headphones more and more as time passed by. They are well built, comfortable, and the software make these a joy to listen to. I still think a wired connection is better as far as microphone clarity is concerned, but these are certainly a push in the right direction. I would have given them a lower score if it wasn’t for the SWARM software, to be honest. In the end, I think the Elo’s are a great gaming and casual option for anyone looking for a wireless alternative.

cons The headset not bad but the lack of option to turn off the led suck the led also turns on when charging even if u use the application to turn it off has a scroll wheel that makes u hear your self u can turn it off in the application but if u touch it slightly it will turn its self on u have to use software updates if not some problem may occur like the headset not wanting to connect the range of the headset is poor it stops like 20 feet out also 7.1 does not work great at all they might be a little heavy for your head but i like the study quality to for me this is not a problem i use for long use my head never hurt
pros comfortable easy to turn on sounds great mute button, awesome mic has noise cancelling so no fan noise
the price is amazing for the mic and sound quality better than the HyperX - Cloud II Wireless does not give white noise

Spent a while comparing headsets, and was mainly considering wired only options until I came across this gem.
This thing was packed with every feature I wanted at a much lower price than the other options I was considering from Logitech and Corsair. RGB, Wireless, 7.1 Surround, and the style of head band is one I've been wanting to try but only seems to be an option on the $150+ headsets.
I've owned one other Roccat product (keyboard) and they have some of the best built hardware I've ever used. The software has it's problems, but I can find nothing to complain about with this thing. It sounds fantastic and is very comfortable. It seems to have found the balance between squeezing your head too tight and sliding around when you move your head. I wore it for hours during a Grounded session the night I bought it and honestly forgot I had it on.

For a pair of wireless gaming phones WITH USB C for $100 this a great option. I can't take micro USB anymore!
This headset really shines on PC with it's software but I plan on using this for my PS5. Although if you are planning on using this for console there are some things to note!
The volume wheel does not work. You have to control the volume through your console. It may not get enough for you but I think it is loud enough for my ears. The mic monitor works well and headset sounds good paired with my PS5. I just wish that I could turn off the RBG using them with my PS5. I kind of look ridiculous.
Anyways these are well built, pretty comfortable, and overall great value.

Very solid headset. Sounds great. Comfortable. A little on the heavy side for weight. Software is a little lackluster. Seems like a lot of the settings do not stick when you set them. Without using software the headset works great. One downfall. The headset is mostly hollow plastic. Mine has broke due to constant stretching. I’ve repaired it with jb weld plastic bins (lol) but it works fine. Be careful stretching this headset.

Sound quality is fantastic, the options for numerous. The microphone is accurate and clean. The conversations are crystal clear. The only problem I have with it is it fits a little too snug on my head and I wish there was a way to loosen it up a little. They’re lighter than the Corsair headset I previously had and better quality.

For the time i have used it, it has proved to be a great headphone. It has detachable mic. I wear sunglasses and it doesn't bother me much. They are soft. The sound is great. Mic monitoring is a little annoying since i have to turn it off every since single time i connect them. The battery holds up pretty good, i use them about 4hrs a day and i can go on for about a week without charging.
Sometimes it won't connect straightaway so i have to turn the headphones off, take the usb out of pc, plug it back in and turn on the headphones to make them work, but i can live with it.

Great headset. The best this gamer has had. All my gamer-buddies are jealous (well, the ones that dont have this headset, at least). Could write all week about how comfortable these are, how well they sound, and how much it blocks out background noises (cant hear my loud window-a/c-unit or the busy street outside). And the downloadable app helps customize your hearing-experience.
Only have two complaints though: 1) Does not work while charging (would be great if these could work as well wired as it does wirelessly); & Complaint-2) the usb-transmitter can be hard to keep track of (having a compartment where i can store the transmitter would help for those of us who travel between locations).
With that said, I'm more than happy with this purchase. Would definitely buy again...in fact, i think i know what i'm getting a few friends and family-members for Christmas/Hanukkah (just don't tell them that!)

I purchased these for my 8yr old son and he loves them for the Nintendo switch. The only complaint or thing that I have not been able to figure out is how to switch back and forth between the headset and our surround sound. The dongle has to be removed everytime the headset is not being used for the surround sound to kick back in. I purchased a rocker switch on amazon so that I can turn the headset dongle off without having to physically remove from the back of the Nintendo (which was becomes quite cumbersome). But aside from that, the headset sounds great, fits both my son and me and holds a long charge!

These headphones like to de-sync every once in a while, which can be really annoying. They're pretty comfortable, but honestly, a little bit tight? I don't even have a big head, they're just kinda tight.
Sound quality is decent, mic quality is pretty good, but you're probably gonna want to get something to cover it, as you can hear breathing.
Honestly the worst part is how every single time i turn them on, or plug in the mic, it automatically turns mic monitoring back on. Which means you can hear yourself and static. Not Good. This does not make for a Good Time.
Otherwise they're decent.

Not too bad, long battery life 15-24 hours, pretty comfy, excellent noise cancellation and audio quality is really good. Cool features like mic feedback, superhuman hearing, and RGB settings within the Swarm application. If you're not familiar with audio and microphone products, setup and customization might seem a bit daunting so read the instruction manual.

The ROCCAT Elo 7.1 Air Wireless RGB PC Gaming Headset with surround sound has taken my gaming experience to the next level!
I've actually used it for about a week, and can say that it has replaced my current headphones from another brand.
The super hearing is great and you definitely feel your surrounding. The bass is not over whelming, but perfect. All sounds come in clear, and it is fun to pin point where things are coming from.
I know these were meant for PC use, but I did try them on my PS4. They work just fine, so everyone who asks knows now.
