Customers appreciate the high-quality build, responsive keys, and vibrant RGB lighting of the Vulcan Pro keyboard. The comfortable wrist rest and smooth, responsive switches are also frequently praised, enhancing the overall typing experience. Some users found the software lacking in features and customization options. A few also noted the absence of a built-in USB port as a minor drawback.

I was in the market for a new KB/Mouse setup for my office and chose to go with the ROCCAT AIMO Mouse (Kone), Keyboard (Vulcan Pro), and Mousepad (XXL Gaming Pad). I was looking at a couple of other competitive brands but ultimately decided to go with this set. The Keyboard is nice, the keys take a little bit to get used to if you're used to a clicky/tactile response. The button response is smooth and fairly quiet. Only issue I have with the keyboard is that when you've built up a little bit of sweat on your palms and it gets on the wrist rest and keys, it can leave marks quickly. Not a huge deal but I'm a bit of a neat freak and hate spots/streaks so I'm constantly wiping it down. The build is solid and the I love the look of it. My other choices were very nice also, but ultimately, the aesthetics are what made me chose this KB over the others. The exposed switches are unique and look awesome. Makes for easier keyboard cleaning too, nothing gets stuck under the keys because it's pretty open and a blast or 2 of air should clear anything out.

It does not get much better then this keyboard. I'll start with the look it obviously is more visual appearing then most on the market just because of the unique key layout and RGB's, performance wise well it is un-doubtly very responsive and if you like the heavy click red switch feel you'll love this keyboard it is a little noisy though but most mechanical's are. Software was a big fear for me but in the two weeks I've owned it alone they have had two updates! What more can you ask for, so many shortcuts, easily programable someone said its the Mercedes Benz of keyboards and I agree!

Required a little new muscle memory. But other than that, I like it. I’d like to see a non rgb edition with completely covered key caps, wireless and AA batteries. I bought it for the looks and wasn’t disappointed, it’s a gorgeous board. The optical switches are a dream, it performs just how you’d expect.
If you’re reading this and thinking about buying it, I can’t give you a reason not to.
With that being said. I’m still gonna buy a g915. But it’s not like I’m gonna give this board away you know. I’ll keep it.

I should disclose upfront that I received the Roccat Vulcan Pro RGB for purposes of providing an unbiased, review. My goal is to provide an overall recommendation along with any information I can to help shoppers online or in store.
Responsive, quiet, no noticeable key wobble, and an overall solid build make this keyboard easy to recommend. With the Vulcan Pro, Roccat has produced a keyboard with optical speeds, but also a solid mechanical feel. The Vulcan Pro feels like a cherry / red / linear mechanical keyboard. Each curved key is smooth to the touch and each key press feels great. This is an easy recommendation for gamers, home office workers, students, and everyone in between.
Optical Switches: This is my first keyboard with optical switches. Versus a traditional mechanical keyboard, there is a lot to like. Instead of metal contacts, the keys break a beam of light. The entire process produces a quicker response than a typical mechanical keyboard. Supposedly, optical keyboards will have a much longer life than traditional mechanical keyboard.
Roccat: Prior to the Vulcan Pro, I honestly had never heard of Roccat. Roccat is a German manufacturer recently acquired by Turtle Beach. I think the German engineering shows. I cannot say enough about the build quality. The Vulcan feels like the Benz of keyboards. Metal surfaces replace hard plastic. Each key is well lit. The magnetic wrist wrest stays firmly in place. I could use this keyboard for hours. This is the keyboard you want for a marathon gaming session or to write a long term paper.
Features: The keyboard comes with a dial to control volume or key brightness. There is no software in the box. If you wish to customize your keyboard’s lighting effects, you will need to download Roccat Swarm.
I’m not quite sure I understand Aimo lighting. It is supposed to be lighting effects controlled by artificial intelligence. But, after turning the lighting feature on, everything just felt random to me. I couldn’t find a rhyme or reason to the lighting colors or changes. Nothing seemed to change with music or actions in a game. It looks pretty, but I also noticed that Aimo seemed to take around a 2 to 3 % CPU performance hit. With Aimo off, but other lighting options enabled, CPU usage dropped down to less than a percent. I personally preferred the solid lighting, wave effect, or ripple effect lighting, but that is just me.
There is no USB port or headphone jack built in to the keyboard itself. Also, there are macro keys, but they are function keys built into the INS, HOME, PG UP, DEL, END, and PG DOWN
Software: I already mentioned SWARM. And, it works. It’s not the greatest app. I liked some of the customization options, but I’d be lying if I said that Roccat had provided the most robust or diverse lighting solutions. Still, Swarm works. I can’t say the same for the software for several other name brand keyboards. Profiles are easy to set up and change. The ability to change repeat delay is nice. But, if you are using a high res display such as the display found on a new surface book, the font for Swarm is incredibly tiny. On 1080p displays, it looks fine, but on my Surface, I found myself squinting and getting as close to the screen as I possibly could.
Conclusion: If you read this review, I hope some part of it helped you in your decision making. I think this is a good keyboard. It justifies its price tag with the build quality alone. Software is a bit lacking and I do miss the built-in USB port, but it isn’t enough to keep me from recommending this keyboard. It’s a solid peripheral from a manufacturer I will be paying more attention to.

I have a few mechanical keyboards but this is by far my favorite. I have a Logitech G Pro TKK that sits in my backpack with my laptop, a man OMEN Sequencer that’s paired to the computer I game on at work, and this, being my favorite, sits at my battlestation at home. Not as loud as Blue or Brown Cherry switches - more comparable to the sound of the Cherry Red switch. Less travel required to actuate the switch which is great. Lighting software is solid (Roccat Swarm).

This is an amazing keyboard! Very easy to type on and very responsive. The swarm software used to change the colors and patterns is easy to use too. I have the full Roccat setup including the Sense XXL mousepad and the Kone AIMO mouse. This is definitely an amazing gaming setup that’s very underrated!

I'm a fanatic when it comes to RGB LED lighting. I have it throughout my house. It's like having your own fireworks display on your desk haha It's relaxing and to now have this carry on to my PC I couldn't be happier! Quality is a must and with the layer of air craft aluminum covering this keyboard there's no cheap plasticy feel.
The response when pressing keys is outstanding, hardly having to apply pressure to get the action you desire. The Titan Switch Optical. ROCCAT is said to be first of ts kind and why this keyboard is superior to others. It's quoted as saying " The optical technology equips you with lightspeed actuation and incredible precision" I'd definitely have to agree. No lag or delay whatsoever.
They angle and height is very comfortable and with the included full length palm rest it gives more pressure relief on your wrists as you type or game. If you're like me gaming sessions can be lengthy so anything that extends that and adds comfort is a plus in my book
Would highly recommend this to others! IT's a beast

Summary
————
This is really one of a kind Optical Gaming Keyboard wherein the functionality is same as a mechanical keyboard but faster and better. The Keyboard build quality is like a tank. The keyboard has a solid feel to it as the chassis is made of metal. It also comes with a detachable palm rest which is coo, although i wished it was padded.
Its a great , super fast keyboard , great for gaming.

ROCCAT® Vulcan Pro – Optical RGB Gaming Keyboard
Magnetic Wrist Rest
Quick-start guide
Pros
———
Excellent build quality, will last a lifetime
Beautiful RGB colors which can be customized through the ROCCAT Swarms software/
Comes with detachable palm rest.
its Fast and responsive (Supposedly faster than mechanical)
Cons
———
Wish the palm rest had some padding.
BUILD QUALITY
———————————
The Build quality is outstanding. The Keys have a smooth feel to them and the chassis is made of metal (aircraft grade aluminum) which make them very durable. The lighting on the keyboard is bright and beautiful. The brightness of the keyboard can be controlled by a dial on the right.
The keyboard is low profile and it also comes with a palm rest which magnetically attaches to the keyboard.
The lighting is supposedly compatible with other ROCCAT device which use AIMO lighting.
Regarding the durability, it looks like they keyboard has been tested for 100 million clicks.
USAGE
—————
This is a wired keyboard and it connects to the USB port of a windows machine. If you need to program the macros keys you will need to download the ROCCAT swarms software and it will let you customize up-to 6 macro kets.
The keys themselves have a nice soft feel to them and using them also has the feel of mechanical keyboard but the underlying technology is optical. Although this is a fairly new technology, the optical keyboard is as fast and responsive as the mechanical keyboard.
I have used several mechanical keyboards in the past but i am mesmerized by the look of the keyboard, the vibrant colors , the keyboard feel and accuracy makes this keyboard one of a kind.
I think this keyboard is well worth it when shopping for mechanical keyboards

I have just received the Roccat Vulcan pro and I am really enjoying it. This is the first keyboard that I have used with fingertip shaped KEYCAPS. The Titan optical switches are a great improvement over other keyboards, they have a mechanical feel but without any delays. The Titan switches should last twice as long as most switches since they are contactless, they say they have a 100 million keystroke life-cycle. One thing that I am having to get used to is that they are a little taller than what I am used to. Since the keyboard has a lower profile, even with the higher keys it feels about the same. I just can’t be lazy with the finger placement. The keyboard itself is reinforced with aircraft grade aluminum to make it stronger. As with most gaming keyboards, you will have to download the Roccat Swarm software to be able to configure your lighting, key assignments and all of the other features. The software also comes with presets for a lot of the current games. There are a lot of options to design your own presets and color combos for all the games you play. The keyboard comes with 512kb built in memory for storing macros and settings. The Keyboard also comes with a detachable palm rest, it has a magnetic connection, so it is easy to attach and remove as needed. With all the features mentioned above and the fact that it has a built in 10 key, I think this is a wise investment for any gamer or person looking to upgrade their keyboard.

Sick!
That is my entire review, lol.
If you are in the market for a gaming keyboard, look no further. This keyboard feels like it was designed by gamers. Its features are perfectly suited for extended gaming hours and the piece itself is a work of art. I love the slate black finish; I mean it is just flat out spicy. The keyboard is light and because of the caseless keys looks small but this is just an optical illusion. The keyboard is about the same size as all of my other keyboards. The keys do not "Typewriter" snap, but the click is nice and clean and not too loud. The RGB features are legit and will make you feel like you have a pro setup within seconds of plugging it in. You can change the color flow by turning the on-board knob and or by downloading the ROCCAT Swarm software suite. The game play is beautiful with ergonomic keys that have a concave to feel like butter under your fingertips.
I cannot say enough nice things about this keyboard. ROCCAT's has made a name for themselves but serving up superior PC gaming peripherals and this piece is no exception but 100% the example. I did also use this board with my XBOX and the keys and RGB worked beautifully!
I Highly Recommend!!!

The brushed aluminum look and the feel of the keys are amazing. I work in an office and although it is louder than a standard keyboard, it is not nearly as obnoxious as an older Razer keyboard i had. The lighting features are also nice and look great. I am happy with my purchase

Sturdy, well built keyboard with great switches. Coming from the green switches from the Black Widow Elite, the quieter switches was different than what I was used to, but they still felt really snappy and responsive regardless.
Beautiful RGB, only feedback I would suggest is to make it synchronize with games such as Apex. If they have that option available in their driver, I couldn’t find it in my brief look through. Again, not that big of a deal for me to make work.
The media keys were also a bit disappointing. I expected the standard play, next, back buttons, but they weren’t. One of them is mute and I actually don’t know what the other two are for. Again, could be programmable, but it’s more trouble for me than it’s worth. It’s not the end of the world.
A second big plus is it takes only one USB vs the Razer’s two USB and 3.5mm sound jack. All that clutter was bothering me.
Overall, great keyboard if price isn’t a big factor for you.

The keyboard itself is great, mostly. It's built will, high quality braided cable, and very customizable RGB sections if that's your thing. The only thing I don't like about it is that the keys take very little force to press, so I often hit keys on accident.

Love this keyboard. Click sound is very satisfying but good thing i have a noise canceling headset. Customization is over the top, updates are frequent and integration with other Roccat products is nice. I do wish there was more integration with Win11 gamer lighting and external products like Govee lighting systems though
