Initially I only bought a roku to replace my Spectrum cable box. Which it does, but also so much more. Easy OS, and very user friendly. So many options available. Love it.

I got this to replace a Roku 1, the slowest thing on the video stream. It took a minute plus to reboot, which was required at least daily. I have two of the 2016 Roku Sticks on other TVs which are great for something smaller (I would recommend those as well) but this Premiere has a better picture due to more processing power. That also makes switching between channels very quick. One reason I got this model is that it has an IR receiver on the front so it can also be used with a universal remote. I had a hard time finding out if it did before ordering, so there it is. The only problem I had was with the headphones initially which turned out to be a little film of something in the jack. Working the plug a little cleaned it off and it works great.

This is the best streaming device I have used so far. Its super fast and almost all apps are available on Roku. I can even screen cast my phone screen on Roku.
Best feature is the headphone jack on remote control.

Was between the stick and this. Went with this because of the 4K ability and faster processor has been great at home and on the road at hotels instead of watching regular tv I’m streaming Netflix and Hulu on the tv

I bought this to replace my Roku Streaming Stick. I love having the headphone jack on the remote for private audio of what I'm watching. I also like that the TV turns on when I press the home button on the remote.

Got this television for our granddaughter to put in her room. Easy setup and the picture is good enough for a young person. TV is also perfect for the video games she plays with her Wi. Price was very affordable.

I have a 4k tv. I needed a 4k Roku. Yes, I did buy a smart TV, but I like how fast the Roku is compared to the smart tv features. I plugged this directily into my modem. It is super fast with absolutely no lag.

The Roku - Premiere+ Streaming Media Player was simple plug and play as it should be and the remote is not only easy to navigate with but works extremely well being as I mounted the Media player behind the tv.

We got the new Roku Premiere+ for its speed and 4K/UHD capabilities. The only trouble we've had was with 4:2:2 color space configuration causing random flickering once every couple of minutes. Disabling to 4:2:0 subsampling is a valid workaround until a new Roku firmware fixes the issue.

THE Best Roku device for the home!

The Roku Premiere Plus is my second Roku, the first being the Streaming Stick (2016 edition). I wanted to have something to permanently sit with my TV while the Stick was used for work and other places I could take it along to. The Roku devices also replaced my two Google Chromecasts. I love how everything is on the TV screen and that it has a remote (versus having to use the phone to control EVERYTHING). BUT there is a phone app, and it's pretty darn decent too! I use it for the keyboard to quickly enter login info or searching for movie and show titles when I don't feel like clicking around the on screen keyboard with the remote. I also previously used a PlayStation 3 / 4 and LG Smart TV apps as my means for video streaming, they were fine, but the Roku is definitely a lot more convenient, plus I didn't have to fire up a power sucking game console JUST to stream movies. The image quality from the Roku looks great, although I can't comment on the 4K aspect, since I don't own a 4K television. I originally had the regular Premiere, but before I opened it, I looked around and found a sale (at Best Buy) that had the Plus for $10 off, and I had another $10 in gift certificates, which made it the same price. I also LOVE the fact that the unit comes with an RF remote, not requiring line of sight (like the Roku Stick's remote) while the regular Premiere's remote was infrared, requiring line of sight. This unit also has an ethernet port, which I truly loved, since I wired my house with Gigabit ethernet, and it's plugged into an always stable connection and not wifi. I have not taken advantage of the micro SD port, it's only designed to give you more spaces for your Roku apps, it's not used to say, cache streaming videos (which would probably make things more snappy). But because of my ethernet connection, I have no hiccups with videos, and everything, apps and video, loads quickly. I would definitely (and have done) recommend this product!

Easy to set up and easy to use. I haven’t had a show freeze or skip due to slow internet speed. The built-in headphone jack is great. It allows me to watch shows even if everyone else is sleeping.

So far, the Roku’s are working as marketed. The remote is simple to use, I set up all 3 Roku’s myself- very easy. I dumped chromecast because it freezes and locks up with the screensaver after unplugging it to refresh it several times. I disliked not having a remote also.

I originally was convinced to get this by a friend who insisted it would act not only as a streaming device to replace my smart Blu Ray player, but as a digital tuner as well. He was wrong. But, I was pleasantly surprised! Although it has no tuner capabilities, it is an extremely fast streaming device. I used to have to wait minutes for my Blu Ray to boot up and access Netflix. With this it's almost instantaneous! And, the setup was extremely easy.

This Roku Premiere + works great. . Its similar to my Roku 2 in that its quicker than lower end roku's to repond to the remote and it has wired as well as wireless connection capabilities and its advantage over my Roku 2 is that this Premiere + has a radio frequency (point anywhere remote) unlike my old Roku 2's infra-red (requires direct precise aim) remote. Meets all my expectations and beat them on the remote. Plus it also works with my infra-red RCA streaming media player universal remote so it must have infra-red as well as radio frequency remote capabilities. So if the r.f. remote gets lost or wears out you can still use an i.f. remote to replace it.

Nice upgrade from my Roku 2. 4K picture is clean. Typical Roku interface...not fancy but effective. Was easy to set up. Ran HDMI directly to tv and used optical cable for sound since my receiver 4K pass through was of lower quality. All works well now.

I have several Roku's in my home now. The original express, which is now in the junk drawer b/c it's too slow, the Roku 3, which is still pretty solid, then the Roku Premier+, and the Ultra. The best value, for me, is the +.
Comparing the + to the Ultra:
I see no advantage to the audio search function of the Ultra, b/c it works at the top-level menu, not app-specific (I can't be in the Netflix app and then use voice search for something IN netflix only). The remote finder feature (Ultra) is silly (to me), and the game control buttons (Ultra) are still unused & I have a 7yo.
Meanwhile, the + does absolutely everything we want, it's fast, resolution looks great, and in combo with the Roku app where you can choose private listening & pair your BT headset with your phone, it's the perfect solution.
We like the chromecast a lot too, but for the visiting parents who really need that tactile feedback, the remote works great & it's simple.

The set-up was easy, and the picture quality is very good. The only problem is the amount of data required to stream videos. You must have an unlimited data plan to use it.
