Everything They Say It Is!!! Was a Great Upgrade from the Roku Stick!!!

This is my third Roku. (1 died after many years) It's amazingly fast compared to older models. The 4K video is wonderful. I'm waiting for more content in 4K to become available. It loads much faster than previous models. A terrific bargain for a TV fan.

Love Roku! had to replace first generation sticks (3 years old). Only downside is generally due to poor application development. Love the headphone jack in the remote; allows me to watch during off hours without interrupting the sleeping family.

I purchased this after a recommendation from a friend. The sales price was exceptional. After receiving the Roku, setup was easy, and I connected to my TV provider's app, and my Prime account. I was then able to stream movies and shows. There are still lots of free Roku channels, and I have watched some of them as well.

The option that sold me on this device was the ability to plug headphones into the remote for "wireless" functionality. This allows for someone to blast the sound directly into the headphones without disturbing anyone else. The Roku app also allows an individual to control the sound and transmit it via Bluetooth or a wired experience using your smartphone (iPhone in my case). The Roku remote experience can be completely controlled through the app as well. A second selling point is that I prefer the interface to Amazon's Fire Stick interface. It is far more intuitive and is easier to find the apps one is looking for. I heartily recommend the Roku - Premiere+ Streaming Media Player over the Fire Stick for the two options I covered even though I'm personally immersed in the Amazon ecosystem. I own this Roku product and two Amazon Fire Sticks.

Great way to get rid of your cable or satellite tv subscription! Directv Now or Sling are good alternatives if you need your shows. Netflix and HBO Now (or Go) work well! Would recommend for anyone looking to get rid of their fee laden tv bills!

I bought this to replace my old ROKU 4 because my new TV has HDR and the 4 does not support. I must say the HDR on this unit is sad. Doesn't look anywhere as good as the 4K/HDR on my Roku Ultra on my Samsung TV. Now, maybe there is some compatability issue between ROKU and a brand new Sony 4K?HDR TV, but I doubt the TV is at fault because if I use the built in apps that came with the TV, 4K/HDR looks fine.

First time Roku user, since cutting the cord and going OTA. Fast menus, great 4K upscaling and native content, makes my Samsung 4K HDR TV come to life more than ever. Roku would be even a better cord cutting device if it included an OTA tunner or two.

I love the Roku products. This is much better than the sticks they make, but my overall love for this product is the ability to watch TV with headphones on. This is great for a house with Kids that are sleeping and no one else is watching with you!!
