I had the previous Roku Ultra device. When I purchased a Samsung Series 8 TV the device really slowed down and could not work with the TV on older shows. After much research, when the new model was released I decided to give the new model a try. It improved the performance of my TV drastically over the previous model. I'm incredibly happy with the new Ultra and it's performance.

Love the 4k clarity with Netflix. Easy to setup, only took a few minutes.

Works well and offers access to an amazing array of channels. Comes with an RF remote, but the Ultra works with IR too. You have to purchase the IR remote separately, but you will need it if you plan on teaching and using an universal remote. Just bought this for my brother who is "cutting the cable". Also plans are that Utube TV will be going through Roku soon.

This device is faster, snappier, and generally more user friendly

It works beautifully. Very simple, with a WiFi connection to my router and HDMI cable to my TV. Good picture quality as long as the internet connection holds up. Voice search capable so you don't have to type letter by letter using the remote. Earphones plug into the remote for late-night TV that doesn't bother anybody. One thing is, when the remote batteries start wearing out, the unit can stop responding without any warning, and you may take a while to realize what the problem is. Have batteries ready. I got rechargeable AA batteries and juice them up from time to time before that happens.

This is my third ROKU unit, they are easy to use and have all the best apps you are looking for, Netflix, Prime Video etc. The remote is cool and even has a headphone jack. Highly recommended.

We cut the cord with this device and it works flawlessly and I cannot imagine why we didn't cut the cord sooner. Watch what you want when you want..easy to navigate and picture perfect.

Device functions flawlessly. Fast, smooth, does everything I need it to do. Setup was easy. Purchased this over the stick version for the benefit of having a headphone-enabled remote.

fast beautiful quality for a great price! I don't mind that the hdmi wasn't included as we have spares plus it allows you to upgrade the cable with your needs and such... love the find my remote feature, that alone makes this player worth it, that and the headphones and night listening. its faster and uses less energy then some of our other options. in love that roku os has a search feature that searches all the channels at once so you don't have to open every app to find the movie/show you want. roku is still the best!!!!

The Roku has tons of great content and much of it is free. For premium content you can purchase it right from your Roku and watch it instantly. 4K video capability is fantastic and with the MIMO networking capabilities it has no problem streaming any video. User interface is very easy to navigate.

I bought the Roku Ultra for my new 4K TV as I was cutting the cord - getting rid of my cable TV subscription. With this device and a few apps I'll never go back to paying the high prices for cable TV. The Roku puts all of your apps in one place that makes it simple to find what you want to watch.

Purchased two Roku units for older "dumb" TV's and love the results. Picture quality is comparable to satellite and possibly clearer. Absolutely love the ability to customize my viewing experience. Highly recommend this product to anyone with older TV's that would like to "cut the cord".

Rated good as it's a bit difficult to start up quickly to get to your apps. Not really a plug/play right off the bat without some practice and reading the manual. Picture quality of the Roku is good...and bought the upper end model given it has 4K capability for down the road...

Great picture quality. No connectivity issues. Seamless interface. Not as much to offer as the Apple TV, but cannot beat the quality for the price.

This little device is great! It provides superior picture quality, with a great simple interface. It's so easy to use, even my 4 year old can use it.

I've had other streaming devices and this ROKU Ultra is a standout. I'm probably a bit dated experience wise but the thing that stands out is this: The performance of my high $$, 4K smart TV of a little more than two ago is awful compared to this new ROKU. Performance is smooth, displays 4K beautifully and so far, it offers lots of free apps. some of which are pretty good. Going forward, I'll buy less feature rich TV's and leave the streaming to ROKU. A good 4K display and a good streaming device will enable me to upgrade the weak link as things improve.

I changed to streaming from cable and have thoroughly enjoyed the roku ultra. It was very easy to set up and offers many ways to stream on your tv(s). I primarily watch hd channels and the picture quality is outstanding. You can easily find a show you want to watch through search and it tells you which channel you can watch it on and if there is a charge to watch. If you use the headphones on the remote be aware that the battery life is significantly reduced. This is an excellent product for anyone who wants to switch to streaming.

Purchased this to replace a cable box in a bedroom. The cable company had a app in Roku so there was no need to continue paying a monthly fee for the cable box and we now get thousands of channels that we did not have with the cable box.

The Roku Ultra is a great streaming device. Thousands of channels and easy setup. I connected it to a 4K OLED TV and the picture is stunning! The UI is fast and smooth and the unit does not overheat when watching 4K content.
