I got this microphone as a replacement cor my headset mic. Immediately everybody in discord noticed a difference in the way i sound, and tell me my voice is crystal clear. Being able to use a USB port makes it incredibly simple, and the price makes it better as competing brands are often 2x, 3x or 4x the price, and dont sound all that different. Its small size makes it easy to fit anywhere. I want to start podcasting soon, and I will probably buy one or two more of these units to use.

This microphone was recommended to me by a professional podcasting company (they've helped many people launch podcasts, including my own, in addition to their own successful line of podcasts). It has great sound quality, is very flexible in use (either USB or XLR, can be easily used with Macintosh or Windows PCs, plus it has a headphone jack for direct monitoring) and the price is extremely reasonable. Because it is a more traditional microphone form factor, then it will work with a variety of mounts. From other reviews I've read, plus the recommendation from my podcasting company, you will not find a much better sound quality unless you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars and even then the difference will only be discernible to the pickiest of ears.

This is one of the best Dynamic usb microphones available! Especially for the price! I use this microphone while I do my live streams on facebook and twitch. I eventually bought one for my nephew as well since he wanted a more "professional" mic compared to gaming headset with their "built in" microphones. I even went from my Blue yeti (black edition) to this microphone because I love the way it picks up my voice. Also, it is super easy to use. All you have to do is plug it in and change some settings in the sound settings on the computer and you are good to go. Easy and really good to use. 5/5. I recommend to anyone that wants to stream or use for podcasts.

This is the go to dynamic microphone at the cheapest price you'll find. The quality is amazing and it's upgradeable. It's my #1 recommended microphone for anyone starting a podcast, voice over work, work from home things, streaming etc. That's because dynamic microphones are great at rejecting background noise. This microphone is USB powered but also gives you the option of using XLR. That versatility alone is so convenient. I use this microphone for almost everything I do.

For the price, this is as good as it gets.. this mic has very good quality, easy to use, and once again the price is very reasonable. Perfect for anyone starting off that doesn’t want to spend 300 + on a mic.

Absolutely perfect! I've used it for streaming as well as discord calls over the past 3 years and haven't had any issues! You do have to be close to the mic for it to pic up your voice but the sound quality is great for the price. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a budget microphone for streaming or just to talk to people!

I have been using a blue yeti for several years for a radio station that I broadcast on. While broadcasting it seems like with the blue yeti I was getting a lot of background noise. When the pandemic hit and I was doing a lot more online streaming I bought this Golden gem. I'm going to tell you right now but for the price you do not get a better microphone. This is a microphone that will grow with you as you can start by using it directly with USB and then you can upgrade and use it with XLR. I have used this microphone both ways it is flawless great. I was surprised based on the price but Samson reigns supreme over The blue yeti. Clear crisp audio. I use this with Skype YouTube live and obs.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Samson Q2U so far. The sound quality is clear, warm, and professional, especially for the price range. One of the best features is the dual USB/XLR connectivity, which makes it perfect for beginners who want plug-and-play USB convenience while still having the option to upgrade to an audio interface later. Background noise rejection is excellent thanks to the dynamic microphone design, making it great for gaming, streaming, podcasting, Zoom calls, and voice recordings. The included accessories are also a nice bonus and make it easy to start using right out of the box. Setup was simple, and it worked immediately with my computer without any issues. Overall, this is one of the best value microphones available and a fantastic choice for anyone wanting quality audio without spending a fortune. Highly recommended.

This is a great microphone! It has XLR and Micro USB connectors with headphone jack. It is has a mini-tripod included and great built quality! You may need a signal booster for it as it is low volume but I just address that in post production.

I supervise thirty plus people for work and having clear communication is essential to the creative work I do. Since Zoom is the way everyone is conducting most business during these Corona virus days without an end in clear sight, I looked for a cheap option to be heard clearly everyday without the distortion of internal computer audio as that can be frustrating to understand at times. I found this option for $60 and it came with a mini mic stand too which I wasn't aware of. It's easy to set up, and have since used it countlessly for work, podcast interviews, and speaking engagements with schools. Sound comes in crisp I'm told without having to buy a high end mic.

With this purchase, I am so pleased! I've been considering this microphone for years, and after reading more on it, I finally decided to go for it. I was singing and recording and became irritated when I found static/distortion during playback when I was going to hit tall, high notes and just a lot of the missing warmth and nuances I was sure I was doing. Last night, he tried this microphone for the first time and it picked all up wonderfully! My voice sounded like I felt it and when I was singing, I heard the echo! And the mic that I was using, which was a Pyle that I bought about 5 years ago, had some raving feedback that compared it to this mic's likes. Uh, no way! Not even just a bit! The Samson Q2U is amazingly stronger, hands down!!!!! The price is also fantastic. To me something more is worth it.

I did a lot of research before buying this mic and I am very pleased with the results. It is much more reasonably priced than some others on the market, and can be used USB or XLR. Highly recommend this for streaming or internet meetings.

Seriously. It’s the best microphone I’ve ever used. I use it for gaming on PC and my voice comes in crystal clear. All I had to do to get it running was plug it in via USB and it’s all set. Just make sure the firmware is up to date by googling “Samson Q2U firmware update”. Should be the first website that comes up. Also make sure the mic is around 5 inches away from your mouth AT MOST. Dynamic mics need you to be kind of close.

Great microphone - noise cancellation excellent, crisp/bright sound, easy plug & play. No hassle. Takes little/no effort to get this mic to work. Affordable, easy, durable...what more can you want??

Got this to replace the arctis 7 mic, and so far it's been amazing (using it USB). Super easy to set up and you get everything you need and more in the package; really great deal and sounds amazing

Works excellently. Picks up my voice well and is fairly durable. Need to find a mic stand so I can do recording at my desk a bit easier and free up desk space. I haven't needed to hook it up to a sound system, but I do like there's the option for if I ever do get one. Pretty much just plug-and-play, especially with the USB.

[Employee of bestbuy] As someone who is budget-conscious, a bit of audiophile, and loves to nitpick, I have to say, I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality of this mic, especially for the price. It's made of real metal and has a really nice weight to it (as someone who's never owned it's really fun to hold, makes you feel really professional), and the build quality is all-around great. The microphone records vocals extremely well, without picking up the room echoes or background noise, even in an untreated room. For the best recording quality, first do what you can to mitigate sources of background noise (close windows, turn off fans, etc.), tilt the mic so it is pointing right at your mouth, and position your mouth just a few inches away from it - the further your mouth is from the mic, the more echoes and other noise it will pick up. Don't get TOO close, though: you don't want to overwhelm the mic, and while it does a surprisingly great job of handling plosives (which are like the "puh" sounds in the "Peter Piper" tongue twister) most of the time, you can still hear some popping if you get your mouth too close to it or speak really loudly, and the foam wind screen that it comes with doesn't seem to help much. So, if you're looking to use it for more professional-quality recording, you may want to buy a pop filter for it (they're not that expensive, you can even just look up a tutorial and make one yourself). Honestly, the only real issue I've had with it so far is that the mic holder on the tripod is a little too loose out of the box, so it keeps wanting to tilt back, and it's challenging to tighten (both sides need to be tightened with large screwdrivers at the same time, which is hard for one person to do). All in all, the Samson Q2U is an absolutely incredible mic for the money. I give it a 9.5/10.

Very decent mic with good sound quality and background noise rejection. I had a condenser mic before this and it was picking up way too much ambient noise in my recordings so I had to look for dynamic mic alternatives. I don't have an interface and USB dynamic mics are particularly scarce so my options were limited. After watching and reading multiple reviews on this mic, I decided to pick it up to try it out. It works well for the most part, but there's one big caveat that people with Windows PC/laptop should know about. The input level is very low on this mic so I have to turn the gain all the way up to about 85% and put my mouth right in front of the mic in order to get good recording volume. Unfortunately, with the gain that high, it also introduces a low level of hissing/static noise in my recordings. The hissing is only noticeable with headphones on or when I boost the volume up in post during silent bits when I'm not talking. It is easily removable in post or via noise reduction/noise gate filters in Zoom/Discord/OBS, so it's not a deal breaker for me compares to the amount of audible ambient noise that was picked up in my previous mic. My unit is not defective as I actually temporarily purchased a 2nd one just to do a comparison test and that one also produced the exact same result on the same settings. After researching around, I found out that this was a common issue for USB mics on Windows 10 as the system audio driver is rather crappy. Theoretically, it's a solvable problem once I upgrade to XLR down the line so I'm hopeful that it'll be worthwhile then. (I accidentally tore off a bit of the foam windscreen so I can't return this item, unfortunately). Other than the input issue, this is a really nice mic for all of its functions and versatility. The audio monitoring is very clean, the sound quality is crisp and full, and I appreciate all the accessories that come with the mic which help make setting up very easy. It has a decent build quality although the headphones volume control buttons aren't very flush and just recessed in a bit (they work just fine though). If you're planning on using this on a Mac or via an audio interface, this is a solid mic. However, if you're planning on using it via USB on Windows, keep in mind the low volume input as that might be a deal breaker.

I bought and was using a HyperX Quadcast for podcasting based upon its reviews. Then I had a fellow podcast host show me this microphone and I immediately ordered it, the boom and pop-filter. This microphone gives great sound quality to recordings and is well worth the purchase over more expensive microphones. Would recommend this to anyone looking to have good voice quality for their recordings.

I was looking for a mic based on value and I was debating between this one and the Rode Podcaster. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the sound. Added benefits were that it doesn't require phantom power and also gives the option of USB or XLR. I use a mixer so I'm not sure of the quality over USB but I can say as someone on a budget just starting a podcast, these mics will work for me well in to the future.
