Very nice looking hood vent. Bought mainly because other appliances were Samsung. However this hood performs very well and has met all of our expectations so far. Any odors from cooking are quickly vented away. Would purchase again.

Ordered this range hood for our complete kitchen remodel. Wall studs, sheetrock, and paint were done weeks before hood was delivered. This range hood needs blocking in particular locations to accommodate proper installation, as directed by Samsung. Since the hood wasn't on site, Samsung was contacted for blocking dimensions for the hood PRIOR to wall and paint completion. Absolutely a useless and futile effort to obtain the proper dimensions from Samsung, and after 90 minutes of trying to explain what we needed, we were still given the wrong dimensions. Contacted Best Buy for their help and were promised a return phone call with the information from a Samsung Rep. the next day. That was over a month ago and we are still waiting for that call. The hood arrived, the blocking was not in the right location, so we ended up tearing a finished painted wall apart to install the proper blocking at our expense because Samsung wouldn't send the proper dimensions or template, and Best Buy didn't follow up for us with their product manufacturer. Done with Samsung and Best Buy, rate them both poor.

I love the black stainless steel. This hood looks amazing and the fan works great and I like the lighting.

It's hard to write a review with only one "overall rating" number because, while the hood itself seems very nice, I'm incredibly disappointed with it. I went to Best Buy and the appliance specialist informed me that the range I was looking at could auto-sync (in Samsung-speak, "pair") with this range hood so that it can automatically turn on whenever a burner is on. This feature is what sold me on purchasing an over-thousand dollar hood rather than something a third the price. I even did an online chat with Samsung to confirm that the Wi-fi enabled range I intended to purchase was compatible and they indicated that "any range is compatible" to sync in this way. WRONG. I couldn't figure out how to get it to pair and had to contact Samsung support again, who informed me there are exactly 3 Samsung cooking devices compatible with this range hood, and I quote: "The Cooktops which can be connected to the Hood (NK30K7000WS) via Bluetooth are- NA30K7750TG, NZ30K7570RG and NZ30K7880UG." There are no ranges that are compatible with this hood, only built-in cooktops. Had I known this, I would've selected a cooktop and separate oven for my kitchen remodel. As is, the cabinets are already installed, the granite is already cut and installed ... it's too late for me for that kind of design change. Without having one of these 3 cooktop paired with this hood, according to Samsung support, you cannot use remote control/monitoring features of this hood as advertised on their website or the BestBuy website. As for the operation and use of this hood, it does seem to have good suction, though it isn't exactly quiet. This is probably to be expected of a model that moves as much air as this model claims (I haven't personally measured) and where the vent system is installed in the living space rather than an attic or other non-living space. So if you know this in advance and proceed anyway, you'll probably be pleased.

My mother has a very expensive and very fancy hood and the performance of this hood blew her away. I was able to fry fish with the hood on Boost and there was no detectable fish smell in the home (I purposely went outside for a while to make sure.)

So the product itself was ok for 2 wks and then we had an issue and when we tried to use our Geek Squad protection plan, we were sent on a wild goose chase for 3 months to finally be told that Best Buy doesn’t have a contractor agreement to service these. Don’t get the protection plan, you will be paying for nothing! I got my money back finally on the plan and got the unit replaced by our manufacturer warranty through Samsung luckily. It works great now and is sleek and I love it

This unit fit perfect in the space I had, lights are very bright and the fan pulls great. I needed this to work with a 6 inch vent pipe which it does install was easy after making a few modifications of the wall to properly support the unit.

I love this hood. Looks great, has 4 speeds so if your house it gets smokey you can remove it fast. The only thing you have to be careful with is that this hood has Bluetooth and Samsung has only 2 models that have Bluetooth. We bought the top of the line stove oven thinking that this unit has wi-fi, so it has to have Bluetooth too. Well it doesn’t, so that function is useless for us. And this hood is pricey.

The hood has Bluetooth to connect to another Samsung stove which is a nice addition. Stylish as well.

Modern, sleek look and less expensive. Its not 1000SFM, but it also doesn't cost $2K-

It's a good easy to use with touch operation. Like: operation and appearance Dislike: loud noise and Bluetooth functionality not compatible with other Samsung models

This hood does not work for ceilings above 9 ft. When we purchased it we were told we can buy an extension kit by calling Samsung. Samsung gave us a phone number for their parts supplier, only to be told there is no extension available for this hood for both stainless steel and black stainless steel. We searched elsewhere i.e. Home Depot and Amazon for extensions but due to the unique chimney size, there are no extension kits that will work. Wasted a lot of time and ended up returning this hood.

I love this hood it quiet and great looking and most importantly is it does the work.

It works well. I wish the connectivity wasn’t limited to just a certain cooktop. That sucked big time. It can’t connect to their own Samsung dbl oven stove. Learned that afterwards but good thing I hadn’t purchased the stove yet. Would’ve loved if the suction was more powerful.

Our house flooded with Harvey and are now replacing everything with Samsung products

Bought this so I could have a matching set to all the samsung frig and range I bought as well. Although there are stronger hoods out there for a better price I was set on having everything match.

The buying experience and equipment surpasses my expectations.

This hood has great power and great looks. You can turn it off from the living room with your smart phone. Not necessary but your kids with think it's neat.

Great product, nice finish. Got it for the wifi ability but cant seem to find the app or how to work this. But not necessary
