I bought this to use as the primary monitor in my office, which occasionally doubles as a guest room. I figured having the smart TV features would be useful when people would visit and stay in that room. The unit's setup is pretty focused on the TV/Streaming/App aspect, with all the usual ads and bloat that Samsung puts on its TVs. As a monitor, this is decent. It takes some playing with the settings as many of the pre-loaded settings make the images appear dull and washed out. Eventually, I got it to a point that I thought it was acceptable. The webcam is pretty bad. The image quality was dull and looks low resolution. I tried several different video apps on both a windows and mac, and it is clear that the issue is the camera itself (for example, I verified I was getting 1080 video). Maybe a firmware update could help, but in several zoom and teams calls, my video was by far the worst looking of the group. The computer-less apps (Google Duo, Office) are pretty much gimmicks and run slowly for me. So I would say definitely don't buy it for the webcam, and if you really don't need all the streaming aspects (which you could easily do on your computer), look for a "dumber" monitor. This product is really an office-friendly TV more than a monitor.

Kind of slow, doesn’t keep input you leave it on after it goes to sleep. Thought the image could be clearer.

Wow - I love this monitor. The advertised functionality exudes excess, yet, sitting on the desk, it is understated and beautiful in its simplicity. Samsung put together a remarkable package with good sound, crisp color and picture, and incredible functionality. The webcam is also competitive and in fact, bests other similarly packaged monitors easily.

This was the closest thing to my iMac that I could find and it’s actually way better in my opinion. Glad I found it.

I had this monitor for exactly 1 year and 1 week and the USB-C connections stopped working. I notified Samsung support and they quoted a minimum of $230 to repair the USB-C connections. Now the magnetic camera will not work, so I had to buy a new camera for zoom meetings. A week out of warranty and they want half the price of a new unit to repair their faulty monitor. Do yourself a favor and buy a better brand or be stuck paying more money like me! I should have purchased the apple monitor...buy once, cry once.
