The Samsung 32" Odyssey Neo G8 is a fantastic gaming monitor. Its curved screen and stunning 4K resolution make games look incredibly realistic. The monitor's impressive brightness enhances visibility and detail, even in well-lit environments. With deep, rich blacks almost akin to OLED, the visuals are captivating and immersive. With a 240Hz refresh rate, gameplay is incredibly smooth and fluid. The monitor captivates you, turning each gaming session into a fully immersive experience. There's no screen tearing, thanks to G-Sync and FreeSync support. However, it has some issues with scanlines at 240Hz and flickering, which can be distracting. Despite this, the overall experience is top-notch. If you're a serious gamer, this monitor is a great choice, especially if you can snag it at a great discount.

Long story short…. This monitor may be overkill for console gaming but coming from a 27” 4 year old Samsung 1440 p monitor, it’s a night and day difference. If you have the funds and a really good PC…. DO NOT HESITATE… DO IT. Picture quality is unmatched. Colors really pop on this thing. I was a little hesitant jumping from 27 to 32 but after a week or so I barely notice the size difference. I am not a fan of the menu buttons instead of the joystick but that would be my only complaint. The stand also feels a little cheap but I use a monitor arm so makes me no difference. If you are a gamer with some extra funds. Please grab this monitor.

No longer do I have to compromise between having the most ideal monitor size, highest practical gaming resolution, having above a 144Hz refresh rate, or having decent contrast & colors when picking a monitor: this one packs all of these features into one beautiful looking form factor (and I didn't even have to wait all the way till next gen's DP 2 0 monitors). Although the price is eye wateringly high it is such a high quality product that seamlessly balances all these amazing specs that I can't stop telling myself that it was still worth the money. Playing older titles like ME legendary edition, Halo MCC, Red Faction, and Half Life at 4K and 240Hz with this monitor's incredible Neo QLED local dimming feels so much like I'm playing these games for the first time again from how much visual fidelity this monitor has. I can keep rambling for days but if the specs interest you the least bit, it definitely won't hurt you to at least try this monitor out and experience an entirely new standard of gaming that Samsung just rolled out here.

I was searching for the perfect monitor to enjoy both my PS5 and Xbox Series X and also use it for my main PC. Usually 4K monitors with 120hz go beyond 40 inches and are more of a small TV than a monitor, I like to play and see my content somewhat close to the screen so I can appreciate every detail that’s why I prefer monitors for gaming. This Monitors checked all my Boxes for the perfect monitor. Full 4K resolution at a descent size with HDMI 2.1 and 120hz, and a great HDR experience. Image quality is great in this model, The VA panel along side the Mini-Led backlight gives the picture excellent contrast along with Fast response times for crisp motion at 120hz. It also has VRR so even if the frame rate drops the motion stays consistent and smooth. And if you use it on PC with Display Port you can even overclock it to 240hz. It really is an amazing monitor and for the time being I thing is the best monitor you can buy if you want HDMI 2.1 with full 4K 120hz support for consoles. It would be a perfect score if it wasn’t for some small issues. 1. Because is a VA Panel it doesn’t have great viewing angles and color degrades easily if you are not in front of the monitor, Samsung to mitigate this issue made the monitor curved, but such an aggressive curve distorts the uniformity of the image in the top and bottom, for games this doesn’t really matter but if you are planning on using this monitor for graphic design or something else it isn’t the best choice. Also because of the poor viewing angles of the VA panel the Mini-Led if you sit too close to the monitor dimming zones are easily visible against a dark background and creates a type of Bloom around objects in dark backgrounds. 2. Quality issues, the first time I bought this monitor it developed dead pixels within a week. Luckily Best Buy support gave me a replacement of the monitor and I haven’t had a problem with it ever since. But just to keep in mind to save your receipt in case something happens. Other than that the monitor is incredible, the picture is really bright with amazing contrast and the full 4K Pixel density makes you fully appreciate every detail of your favorite games at a smooth 120hz (and even 240hz if you use it on a pc via DisplayPort!)

Best gaming monitor I’ve ever tried. The picture quality is top tier and the refresh rate on this thing is top of the line. The price is a little hefty but after using it, I don’t regret it. I use it for gaming and Apple TV to watch shows too

I use it for both gaming and productivity and don’t have any complaints. 5 months in and so far no major issues, and it has been working exactly as expected. The colors and black levels are great imo, and response time is fantastic. It is in a well, naturally lit room and the brightness reacts well and quickly to adjust according to the luminosity of the room. Its RGB functionality is solid too, though it may not necessarily blow you away with its pattern options. The only feature I wish it had was a built in speaker system, but that was not a deal breaker for me. The only minor issue I had was with packaging, where I have a two very light vertical markings(noticeable against black screen or when monitor is off) on both sides of the monitor that I think were caused by the way it was packed/secured. But, as said that doesn’t really take away from my enjoyment of it. Your results may vary though.

Very happy with my purchase. Came from playing on an 85 inch tv. Color and blacks look great. Brightness is good too. Pretty sure it’ll be a perfect monitor once they do a couple firmware updates. But other than that i am very happy with my purchase. Been looking for a 32 inch curved monitor and im glad i waited for this one.

This is by far the best monitor I’ve owned. The 240fps is incredible with my PC. It makes high speed games a breeze to play. The the color alone is rich and lush. The user interface is a very good, and easy to navigate. The auto switch feature makes it seamless to switch from my Pc to my PS5 without have to change a thing. And the built in presets work incredible with all the games and videos I use. There’s no dialing in required, just find a setting you like and have at it. The auto dim feature is a lifesaver at night when the wife’s trying to sleep and I’m trying to game! Most def recommend if you’re on the fence. You won’t regret the purchase.

I’ve been using this monitor for a while now, and overall, it delivers a solid performance for its price point. The display quality is sharp, with good color accuracy and contrast, making it suitable for both everyday productivity and casual entertainment. Text appears crisp, and images and videos look vibrant.

Great monitor, the price is very expensive but you’re getting a stunning 4k monitor with the ability of 240HZ along with other great features. I personally would recommend this monitor. Usually goes on sale so just wait for that.

Long story short, i bought this monitor cause i was looking into upgrading to a 4k gaming monitor and this specific monitor met all the specs i was looking for, except the response time of 0.03 but honestly you can barely notice. I orginally bought at $700 open box, then returned it cause i thought if i just waited i could get it for cheaper. Didnt happen, so i ended up buying two different monitors to compare. LG ultragear oled 32” 4k @ 240hz and 0.03 response time, and also 39” 1440p oled LG ultragear. Both were really nice looking and the picture quality wasnt bad.. but to be honest, after First using the Samsung monitor, nothing has come close to comparing to this beast. Yea its three years old but it’s honestly amazing. I even bought it for more money then i paid the first time lol. I dont know what it is, but this monitor offers the entire package. Hands down the best. If it had the 0.03 response time as well it would be to good to be true. But thats the least of your worries. If it goes on sale under $650 or less do not hesitate. It will sell out.

An awesome high quality monitor! Way better than the previous Samsung Odyssey monitor I had before.

I like the monitor, but I had a ton of issues getting one and then getting one that had acceptable levels of defects. Which is crazy to even say on a $1500 panel. HDR is great, 4k @ 240hz is revolutionary. The anti-glare coating reduces quality in dark light, but stands up to its name for reducing glare compared to my other Samsung 32" G7. It's a noticeable improvement to where a hallway light directly behind me isn't even bothersome. First one I purchased had dust/plastic debris behind the panel but in front of the backlights around the corners, so in bright environments I could see what looked like smudges. The next one I received has a single dead pixel in the upper left hand corner, but no noticeable dirt/plastic shavings behind the panel. Also on the 240hz setting both of the monitors I had produce scanlines on certain colors. It's not noticeable in media consumption, but it's extremely distracting on websites and simple texture games. Really bad for a $1300 on discount monitor; at that price it really should be perfect. Unfortunately it was the only 240hz 4k panel.

Beautiful monitor and has been great for gaming, especially first person shooters. knocked off a star because I get some kind of power block feedback that caused the screen to flicker. I found unplugging it for 5 seconds and plugging it back in resets the issue.

This monitor can be the right fit for so many users. Those looking for ultra quality immersive gaming experience without a need/desire for high fps. So long as you have a good enough gpu, this is the monitor for you. If you’re looking for an ultra high quality immersive gaming experience and want all the frames? This is also the monitor for you. Love this monitor as I knew I would. This monitor was released at just the right time as my trusty old 32” qled curved Samsung panel I’ve ran the past 5 years finally let go on me. Playing EFT with a 3080TI on medium/high settings at 90-100fps in 4K is a beautiful thing. Not a fan of the new power/menu buttons and there seems to be a firmware issue as I’ve read. Still give this monitor an A+

I love this beast of a monitor I recently upgraded my pc and now I can play in 4k at 240hz. Definitely worth it.

Its great, no problems so far, looks good too. The settings are easy to navigate and the options they have for it are excellent.

I was looking for a gaming monitor and this was suggested as being one of the best. After I hooked it up I could tell right away that I will never use a TV again to play my console games. This is the best decision I have ever made .
