Very disappointed

I have used this for normal use and has not been moved since I first set it up. I know that Monitors don't have the life span that they use to have but this is very disappointing.

Monitor for multi-use Home Office
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor to replace a 7-yr-old top rated Dell monitor. I needed a monitor that checked several boxes- Thunderbolt for my MacBook Pro with charging, compatibility with an older windows platform gaming PC and switch ability between the two. It meets the need. Note to other shoppers, this monitor is well built. It is VA tech which basically means it has a better pic than an IPS overall with a bit less brightness. It is not 4K but graphics are still HD. I have noticed some issues with certain resolutions on the PC with the older GPU. Few of my resolutions are compatible but that is the card not the monitor issue. Also, VA tech is known to have a narrow field of vision; however, being curved negates that characteristic. I believe it is one of the best choices currently for an under $1K monitor. The fact that it is ultra wide offers a great platform for multi-computer use. I am able to see both computer outputs at the same time or one or the other. Setting up the source is not difficult. At that point it is simply selecting the source input and how you want it- full screen, half screen, etc.
I would recommend this to a friend USB not recognizing iPad

I have to keep turning it and the iPad on and off to get it to work, but it’s not an exact science. I don’t know what I have to do to get it to work consistently.

Beautiful monitor, poor reliability

The built-in speakers sound decent. The issue is that from the factory, my monitor had an issue with repeated flashing during use. I sent the unit back to Samsung to repair and when it returned, the issue persisted. Planning to return for anything but a Samsung.

Never going back to two displays!

First time using a curved screen and totally loving it compared to a two monitor setup. Screen looks better in a darker room but not a deal breaker if you have a well lit room. Just not as vibrant. Definitely recommend!

Good immersive monitor

However I was really surprised that a product from Samsung could be such poor quality. Looks really great but there are tons of issues with these failing. Mine was dead on arrival.

Only the cord that comes with it will work and is only a few feet long.. Also arrived with two dead pixels.

Used to love Samsung quality. Not anymore

Worked great with Keyboard and mouse pushed through Thunderbolt cable until about 2 weeks AFTER I couldn't return it to BestBuy. USB-C ports completely died. Could not get any video signal into the monitor nor was the DC charging going to either my MacBook Air nor my iPad mini. Chatted up Samsung support to have them create a ticket for me to send in. After 2 weeks of waiting for status of the item, I called them only for it to be magically completed the next day. Just received the monitor today, and they repaired the wrong thing. (I'm not even sure if they repaired anything.) If I could take this back to BB right now I would, but I'm stuck fighting with Samsung over this pretty boat anchor. Product quality and support are horrible.
