Purchased this TV as a replacement for a 32 inch Vizio we had in our bedroom. After getting it mounted up on the wall we have really enjoyed it. There are a few cons. 1. Speaker volume is okay. Since we are using it for a bedroom TV, it works good enough. In a larger room you will most likely want to pair with a sound bar, or surround sound. 2. Smart apps. The smart apps interface seems really dated, and clunky to use. I recently saw the new interfaces on the lg smart tvs, and that blows this out of the water. Personally, I have a Chromecast hooked up, so I rarely even use the smart apps built into the TV. Pros - 1. The TV does have a powered usb port on the back, enabling it to power the Chromecast. 2. Picture quality is good, and as expected with Samsung panels. 3. Screen mirroring - Although the built in apps are not that great, the screen mirroring works well. I paired it with both my phone, and tablet, and both mirrored without and hiccups. Overall, as I said, this is a good value. Getting it on sale for 369.99, and having rewardzone certificates made this purchase very worth while.

I was in a the market for a new flat screen tv and after thoroughly investigating all tvs I found the the best value for my money was the Samsung brand. I purchased the 40" HD smart tv and have loved it ever since. Easy to set up, great picture quality and after hooking up my Samsung soundbar it is truly a great entertainment center...!

Have purchased several (8 so far) Samsung Smart TVs from 32 inch to 42 inch to upgrade older TVs in my home and furnished vacation rentals. They are reasonably priced, easy to install, with great viewing performance and love the APPS. The picture is incredibly wonderful!

I researched all 38-43 inch TV's available to me, and, after looking at them for 6 months, selected the Samsung 40" smart TV. It has functioned flawlessly, and gives us great color-saturated images. We've used the TV with computer, DVD player and VHS recorder, as well as a gaming station, all with great results. We've had the TV for a year now, and the TV has functioned flawlessly.

This tv is so worth the money 1080p 120hz great picture great quality and the color and smart tv is absolutely amazing. Definitely a great buy

This is the third Samsung HD TV I have purchased in the past four years. The remotes are very intuitive. The color is exceptional and was easy to setup right out of the box.

I don't regret buying the tv. It has an excellent quality and the best part is that the tv is smart. I have all in one tv.

This is one of the best looking TVs I have owned. The picture quality is fantastic! Color and contrast are to die for. Great value. Was going to go 4k but with lack of 4k media at the time I went 1080p and glad I did! My only gripe is that it quickly burns in on bright scenes with little movement so be careful turning up backlight and contrast. It goes away quick enough but annoying. In conclusion, best value and quality I've had in a TV ever. I even bought a 55' inch of the same series. Hope this helps!

I've bought 3 or 4 Samsung TV's for my family from Best Buy and the pricing was the best I've found!

Samsung - 40" Class (40" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - Smart - HDTV was the perfect TV I was looking for. Beautiful picture, nice clean look, a platform stand rather then the 4 legs which makes it easier to find a stand to fit it. Price was reasonable. I purchase I'm satisfied with so far.

It was fir my daughter. A Christmas gift that she loves and the guide is a breeze. Smart tvs are the way to go in this day and age. Love everything about this tv.

I purchased this TV and paid more than the other smart TV options because Samsung lasts forever , my last Samsung is still going ( rear projection from 07) and this Samsung I hope will last at least s decade but becareful with keyboards and anything Bluetooth because it may have every other perk and more but Bluetooth isn't available on this TV. I had a hard time locating a USB wireless keyboard for it because of its lack of Bluetooth but it's also picky on USB wireless stuff as well but I finally got lucky and found the limited K400r that is a compatible keyboard !

We needed to replace the out of date TV in our bedroom. The Samsung fits the bill perfectly. It has an excellent picture and meets every need.

HDTV size, weight, picture resolution, color brightness was spot on. A great fit for my needs.

I have owned 4 Samsung smart TVs and all have performed brilliantly. This brand is always highly recommended and I will continue to be a supporter.

Very easy to use. I pretty much copy anything my aunt does because I trust her choices and she chooses Samsung!

We had our old T.V. go out on us which meant we had to buy a new one . We decided on the Samsung 40 inch led with HD . I have to admit we are totally please with our decision on getting this T.V. This T.V. has the 1080 p and the clarity of the picture is really great on it . Yes we did have to assembly the stand and attach it to the T.V. which was really easy to do . Set up of this T.V. was easy to do as long as you follow instructions . On the back side of you'll find all of connection for HDI and other hook ups . We have had this T.V. for 2 weeks now and have not had issues at all . This is a great main T.V. or even as a second one . We would totally recommend this T.V. to anyone who is looking .

Finally after reading so many reviews, I went in and bought this TV. I have been a SONY fan all along and this is the first time I gave Samsung a try. I must say its not that bad after all. Here's the quick look at the facts: PROS : 1. Picture quality is really good. 2. Excellent Sound. I mean literally, the sound is amazing. You DONOT need any soundbar. 3. Setup is pretty easy. 5 mins tops. 4. Easy to hook up pen drives and Hard disks. Just plug and play. CONS: It takes a good amount of time for the SMART features to work. 1.When i plugged in the TV for the first time, it took about 3+hours for the updates. Worked like a charm after that. 2. Everytime you switch on the TV, you need to wait for about 5 mins for the smart apps to load up. Not a deal breaker, but something annoying at times. 3. Has only 2 HDMI ports. Just something to note!!

I know that there are a lot of low priced tv's on the market today and we all have some pretty good sets to make our choice from. I chose this 40 inch set from about 15 different models under $500. I did spend about $20 more for this because of the 120 MHz speed vs the 60 MHz speed, specifically for the sports events I like to watch. I was not disappointed. The "Big Game" looked fabulous and the sound wasn't far behind. Set-up was quick and easy. Connecting to the internet was easy and in all it took about 15 minutes to be up and running. Even setting up the remote to work with my cable box was a snap. The colors are great and the viewing angle allowed my friends and I to sit all around my "cave" and enjoy the "game". I'm an Amzon Prime member and with the wifi I have been streaming some of my favorite shows and they pop off the screen. I know there are even better sets out there, but for a budget, this is a set worth considering.
