This 4k TV has a superb picture and great sound. Lots of streaming apps are included. I can use my Roku device or choose to stream apps directly from the TV. Setup is easy. The only drawback is when trying to view the screen from any angle except directly in front of the TV screen the picture fades and ghosts out. Don't expect to view this tv from any angle other than straight on. I put this tv in my bedroom and watching it facing directly in front is great. I thought I could put this TV in my living room however, it was not possible to view a clear image with the correct color intensity.

It was about time that I get rid of my tube tv. I have other Samsung products and the quality of the picture far exceeds everything I've seen. This one is a smart tv and I love the features! The size is perfect for the room that I have. The price is excellent and it's easy to use. Why did I wait so long?

I purchased this TV for my elderly mother who was using an older 32" Vizio. She wanted the sharp picture she had seen on TVs that others had. We decided to jump a bit on cost to the 7 Series for a better picture. It was easy to set up with step by step instructions on the screen. I did this for her but feel certain she could have done it herself. We got her Amazon Prime set up as well. After a little experimenting, I figured out how to use the remote to do everything she would need. Small learning curve but she is in business! Loves the picture and the sound! She is thrilled with her purchase!

This is the most beautiful picture on this Samsung 7 series television, as a 70-something couple. Incredibly easy set-up, intuitive operation, and gorgeously clear picture. Granted, we're penny-pinches, so this was a big splurge for us, even though it's far less pricey than other comparable televisions (Bought it when it was on sale) . Very happy with this purchase. Good part of this TV is you can control volume from your Amazon Fire-stick remote while LG TV does not. Only drawback is sound of the TV is very low for average size room. The sound is fine, but if you're planning on using it for anything more than a bedroom you'll likely want a sound bar or other external speaker.

This is my first 4k TV. I absolutely love it. Before I was using a regular 32" 1080 flat screen that I have had for about four years. It started going out so I decided that it was time for a new set. I must have walked around for about 30 minutes checking out all of the TV's and debating which one I wanted. I told myself that if I was going to be paying for a TV, I might as well get something that will keep up with some of the newer tech as it comes out. I know some graphics cards and game consoles now do 4k as well as the 4k Ultra Blu Ray players. I grabbed this one and I am very happy with it. It has a super smooth motion that can actually be controlled. It has a sharp picture and deep rich colors. To me, it has a bit of that "wow" factor that makes you want to buy a TV. I almost settled on another model simply for its deep rich colors but it was missing the smoothness, sharpness, and "wow" factor that I had always wanted in a TV. Makes my Xbox One and my Blu Ray's really POP with color, detail, and clarity. I would highly recommend this one.

Got this TV just before "The Big Game" (sorry, I know we can't use the name Super Bowl here) to replace a 13 year old LCD TV that was starting to lose it's colors. Overall, the picture is wonderful, and the sound quality was unexpectedly decent. As this is a just a general use TV, the built in speakers are adequate and we chose not to get an additional sound bar at this time. We get our content from YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, Disney+ (among others), and the Samsung app availability for most of these major apps is quite good. Previously, we got all our content via a Roku, but these built in apps are just fine. One drawback is the viewing angle can be quite limited, particularly if you have it mounted up higher (as ours is over the fireplace). Having it up higher and viewing from a seated position very much washed out the picture. We had to purchase a new wall mount that angled the TV downward to get a better picture. The same can be said from a wide viewing angle. Straight on viewing is the best, but does start to wash out even moving a few feet either direction. A 4K QLED would fix that, but that's out of the budget. One more issue was the wall mounting option. Unless you are purchasing a Samsung mount, you have to use the included spacers to mount it, and use very specific mounting screws (not provided, but specified in the manual). It seemed odd compared to previous TV's I have mounted. Overall, very happy.

I've always been a SONY owner on multiple sets and if given the options, a Sony TV will prevail. However Sony sets are now limited to much larger screens and thus this Samsung. I needed a guest bedroom set and wanted something closer to a 32 inch screen but I instead opted for a 43-inch Samsung. In the 'Seven-Series' for 2020. I mentioned the 'Seven Series' because it provides for cosmetic improvements but it also adds an extra HDMI connection. I also found the picture much better on the 'Seven Series'. The feet on this TV are 8-inches across/horizontal... That takes up a lot of real estate on a dresser or counter top and that was a major disappointment but I still bought it because I opted to wall mount it instead with a Sanus flush mount to the wall. Perfection and issue solved! The remote is fair-to-good but not great. So I instead married a TIVO Mini to the set and now use the fantastic TIVO remote to do everything (mostly) that is needed. I don't have to use the Samsung remote. The processor for the TV is a bit slower than any of my Sony sets but still not too slow so it's acceptable. I travel lot for a living and I often encounter LG sets in hotel rooms and a Samsung processor runs circles around an LG set. Best Buy had the set on sale so it was priced better than Amazon or Costco so indeed a good choice. This is just perfect for a guest room or to use in a game room, outside or in a kitchen.

I'm pleased with the picture and sound from this TV. The picture is too dark for me in Default mode regardless of the amount of ambient light, but Natural and Dynamic are both fine. Otherwise the picture is very good for the price point. You can do better, but not without spending significantly more. Viewing angle is good for a fixed viewing location in front of the unit, but this isn't a great choice if you want a crowd to watch. The sound is as good as the basic Insignia soundbar I bought for a previous TV, so I retired the soundbar. The sound easily pairs to my Bluetooth AirPods or Bose headphones for private listening. The remote control nicely controls my BlueRay and FireTV Stick but is missing any voice input, and the buttons are cluttered. It is too easy to want to move left/right/up/down in a menu, but enter Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/Home by mistake and it's a pain to get back. But overall, I don't think I could have done better without spending double. I've read that some other brands may offer the same quality at a lower price, but I chose to stick with a top brand.

I bought this 43" after purchasing the UN58RU7100 back in September. This is one great tv at a very affordable price. It is very easy to set up and smart features are a breeze for anyone. The quality of the picture is unbelievable for such a great price. I highly recommend this tv!

    Great for a gaming monitor

I have always had a top-tier gaming desktop (currently Ryzen 9 3900x and RTX 2080ti), but only had 1440p monitors for the longest time. I have never really needed or wanted a G-Sync display and am completely satisfied with 60fps v-sync (and 4K60 is pushing the 2080ti pretty hard). This TV is the perfect size as a monitor for your desk. I have this and a 24" monitor off to the side for Discord/Afterburner while the TV is used as the movie/video/gaming screen. The latency is absolutely amazing, and I can not see any input lag when gaming. The black levels on this is also much better than my 1440p IPS monitors, and the color is also amazing. I sit on average about 2-3' away from the TV when it is on my desk and, 43" is about perfect. You don't have to move your head too much to see from side to side, and it is big enough to see everything crystal clear.

For $300 this is the best picture you'll get. Colors pop off the screen for a nice viewing experience. Lightweight, easy to hang on the wall. SmartTV is always updated and includes YouTube TV. Definitely recommend for a small room or guest room.

This review is for the 43RU7100. The NU is previous model. 4K video looks great. Out of box settings right now but will adjust. I contemplated going with QLED but at double the price, just can’t justify it for a non everyday use TV set. Speakers are louder than my previous and I won’t need a sound bar. speakers point down and I’ve seen some that actually point back. I also like that I can hook up BT headphones and listen via that when wife is asleep. Here is the main thing for me. You can start paying premium for upgrades that in all reality you don’t really see benefits unless you go w top of the line series. This is a great line (7000 series) and wouldn’t go lower than this.

I'm losing my hearing. This TV's sound is great and I can hear it good on 7-8. The picture is great. TV is light weight. Easy set up, but have all other components attached before setting up so you can use them with remote. I am very glad I bought this TV.

I was looking at a couple of off brand TVs and decided to go with Samsung once I saw them all in person. We already have a number of Samsung products in our house that we are for the most part happy with. The picture is beautiful on this and for our bedroom TV the sound is okay. Definitely if you're an audiophile or if it's going anywhere besides the bedroom need to add soundbar or speaker system. We may add a soundbar in the future, but right now we have a newborn so it's not necessary for us. The remote is a very bulky compared to my larger Samsung in living room. However we don't use the remote anyway except to change things in the settings. The menu options are easy to use. the TV even comes with some sort of Samsung channel set to be able to stream. Happy with this purchase.

This unit is thinner, has more ports, instantly recognized both our Roku and Amazon Fire Stick, has better color and a sharper picture than the 4 year old LG (same size) it replaced. All for less money than the LG. One thing everyone noticed was how much easier it was to read the on-screen print of program movie descriptions as compared to the same size LG it replaced. Much sharper. My only criticism is the remote. While it works fine, doing things like setting the sleep timer requires 4 steps rather than a dedicated button. Many of the functions are not intuitive. The remote frustrates the viewing experience in my opinion. However with enough usage and practice am confident the frustration will lessen. It is not a reason to not consider this TV, just something to be aware of.

I’m using this tv as my primary computer monitor screen and I have to say it’s pretty nice. The brightness on this tv is top notch and the auto dimming is pretty slick. I haven’t used the smart tv aspects of it to much but I have used the YouTube app on it and no issues for connectivity through WiFi. The tv has 4:4:4 chroma so looking at text and such on this screen from a computer graphics card is nice. No jagged edges on text and color is pretty nice. I had initially tried a TCL screen and through dead center it was ok but at the distance the screen was things at the edge got dull. Not on this tv. The viewing angles are wide and you lose almost nothing at the edges up close which is nice. Some sights say the LG panel on some of the budget TVs are ok but I’ve noticed black lines on edge and the Samsung doesn’t do that. All in all really glad I got this guy and returned the TCL. This was a few bucks more but in all honesty for the viewing angles, better color, way better brightness and gaming refresh rates. I think this is a top notch display for the money. I mean if money wasn’t an issue the LG high end TVs are nice but not with the risk of burn in. Can’t beat a $300 dollar tv kicking nearly all computer monitors screens to the curb at this size. It even has a slight matte to the screen to aid with glare. So far no complaints. I’d buy again if I had another setup. I may end up buying an even bigger version of this as an outdoor tv just because cost and picture quality for what I’m used to is way up there.

After much homework with reading reviews. Decided to buy the 43” Samsung. Setup was a breeze but more importantly the picture quality out the box was very impressive. Still checked rtings.com for recommended picture settings and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend to make sure tv is running the latest firmware. Only thing I wish was the feet were metal and not plastic but at the price I purchased...this would be nitpicking.

This is a wonderful TV. Easiest set up ever with the smart things app. Automatically configured itself to my wireless network. All my wireless devices find the TV with ease. Beautiful, Clear 4K picture. Great Sound, However I will be adding a sound bar. I wanted this size TV for the bedroom and it works perfectly. I have always purchased Samsung TV's because of their reliability and quality. One of the Big pluses for me also is the number of HDMI and USB ports. I have exactly 3 HDMI connections to the TV and I no longer need to rely on a hdmi switch hub. The Samsung Remote works very well also. The only thing I would change is the TV support legs. I would prefer a solid platform instead which gives me more options for where I can place the TV.
