I recently purchased the Q70 55 inch at BestBuy. The TVs picture quality is very good. Viewing angles are no major issue and the blacks are deep and dark. The Tv has excellent contrast ratios and accurate colors. The TVs sound production is not great. I will probably buy a sound bar. One major issue: the TV has scratches that are very hard to see. In fact I didn’t discover them until the 15th day after my purchase. I was watching Tv on a sunny day with the drapes open on the large windows in my family room. When standing at an angle with natural light shinning into the room the scratches became evident. I called BestBuy and explained the situation and they said I had missed the return date by one day. They referred me to Samsung. I called Samsung and they said they do not warranty scratches. I would advise anyone purchasing a Samsung Tv Or buying a Tv from BestBuy to examine it closely before the return period expires. The customer service from BestBuy is good as long as the policies work in your favor. In other words, they are policy driven not customer driven. Regarding Samsung...it does seem their quality control has suffered a little compared to the reputation they had developed a few years ago. Overall, I am satisfied with this TV but I paid $1000 and would prefer it not have scratches .

I replaced an LG 4K HDR TV with this TV. The LG was pretty amazing but I was looking for a TV that will push my experience to the next level. Thankfully, this television is quite spectacular. When I was looking for a television, I was focusing on the performance of gaming. With that, I needed low input lag, high refresh rate, and fast response time. Thankfully, this has been the case. To keep myself future-proofed, this Television features FreeSync Ultimate which is awesome. This allows you to achieve a variable refresh rate while playin gin 4K HDR. This will be a game-changer when the new consoles come out as well as for PC Gaming. One thing that annoyed me is that, out of the box, the game mode enables Motion Plus (Interpolation) which frustrated me. But, it was easy to disable thankfully. When you have it on, the TV guesses where objects will be and insert frames to smooth the motion. However, with static HUD elements, it turns out to be really annoying because the TV will try to guess static movement which doesn't happen. It was very apparent in FPS type of games. Overall, the TV has been a joy to use with crisp details, bright HDR, and a smooth gaming experience.

This is the best smart TV I've ever had. It's so easy to use. The remote is easy (except for the rewind/fast forward). I push the home button and on the bottom of the screen are all the apps. Above the apps are some of the movies/tv that are available on that app. I'm streaming much more now because of the ease of use. The picture is very clear with much detail. I love it.

I have bought a couple TV's lately (TCL 6 series, Samsung NU7100) and none of them compare to this TV is any way, shape, or form. Right out of the box this TV just looked gorgeous, and the anticipation just grew as I got closer to turning it on upon completing setting it up. I turned it on and was just floored by the gorgeous picture that this TV puts out. The colors are super amazing and rich, the contrast is amazing, and the black levels are even on point as well. Samsung has an amazing way of using super high tech to produce deep black levels even on a mid range QLED TV. I believe after some research that this TV had 48 local dimming zones which is plenty for most modern use. After messing with the picture settings a bit I am very happy and pleased with this product. It's the TV I have always wanted. Thank you Samsung, and Best Buy!

I purchased this TV just before Thanksgiving. It’s an excellent TV and I got a great deal on the price. The HDR function really works well. The picture quality is very impressive with deep blanks and vibrant whites. The set up was so simple. Samsung does an amazing job of making their TVs very simple to setup. This is my first Smart TV so I am thoroughly enjoying access to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

I purchased this Samsung 55" QLED to replace a 45" Samsung LED from about six or seven years ago that was going to my daughter (to replace an ancient NEC LED set that was our first flat-screen, non-tube TV and which still looked really good, but was built like a brick, but I digress). The differences between the older 45" and the new 55" Samsung sets is quite marked. The older set was noticeably thicker and heavier, with a pretty thick bezel around the screen. The 55" set could be taken out of the box by one person (me) and easily set up; it has essentially no bezel around the screen. The new Samsung was extremely easy to set up, once the base was installed; I hooked up the cable box and the DVD player, then powered it up. I purchased a 75" Samsung about a year ago and found that the new 55" set was actually easier to set up. Once the power came on, the set configured itself and the Comcast remote very quickly (while the bigger set took a bit to mold itself to our system). The screen resolution is quite nice, even though we don't have a 4k box for the set yet. Sound, even with the rear speakers, is actually pretty good, though I do plan eventually on getting a sound bar. So, I'm pretty happy with the new set. It was a nice upgrade, easy to set up and has a great picture with room for improvement in resolution.

Q70 Series from Samsung is a great television. On the more expensive side but provides excellent picture and smart features. Quality picture is the most impressive feature. Only downside is the Bixby feature which can believe it is being "awoken" when television audio is playing. Not sure if Bixby can be disabled.

The picture is great. Nice color and detail. Sound is not bad for news and maybe soap operas (I do not watch soap operas). I use my surround system for movies, streaming and music. Was not good out of the box but a few little adjustments did the job. Really a nice TV. I gave it four stars because I have not had it long enough to know about reliability. I have a 52" sharp that is over 10.5 years old and still has a great picture and good sound. Will see how this Samsung holds up.

Thought about the q8fn but when I got to the store it was already sold out. So I chec out some other brands and OLEd but decided in the end to go with the Samsung Q70R. Wanted 65 but decided on the 55 and I'm glad I did because the sizr fits perfect on my 60 inch TV stand. Samsung TV was fairly easy to setup and I used the stands that came with it. Grest stands to hide wire...yes one wire on each side better than none to hide. PICTURE is awesome !! Netflix is awesome but you have to pay 3 dollars more for the UHD streaming if not you get normal HD and it is still ok... Got a sound bar to complete the TV. But the sound is not bad if you just wanted TV speakers... Samsung only fault is making the TV cheap looking compared to last year's models... Make sure you have some one to help you lay tv down.. especially if you bought a 65 inch or bigger if you're gonna attach the stands.... Hope to have a year end review of this TV !

Slim frame makes installation easy to handle and the appearance on the wall above our fireplace looks sleek. The picture takes a little time to get used to the clarity - we upgraded to the Samsung QLED after our Panasonic Plasma finally went down. The picture has so much depth that every movie you have seen before looks different than what you ever saw in them before. In some cases there are things we noticed in scenes that we never did with the older technology. The sound is much better too. We had considered a sound bar and will probably upgrade to that eventually but this model definitely does well on its own if you don’t have space for extra equipment. The only thing we are still learning is the remote. It’s great to eliminate the Firestick remote and just have one remote but there is a little learning curve.

Got this last Saturday. Just today, finished getting it to where I wanted. Did the delivery and setup option and the installer was nice but not very knowledgeable. Couldn't get audio setup correctly but I later found out it was my receiver settings. I feel the installer should have figured this out. I love the picture on this TV. Blacks are better than expected and the colors really pop on 4K. Spectrum picture is decent but not great. The remote is OK, but doesn't do a good job of controlling all the components. I still have to use my Harmony Ultimate One for some things. PS4 games are stunning even without having the Pro. Netflix and Prime are also great looking. Our Planet on Netflix is absolutely incredible. I was going to go with 4 stars because of the installation problems, but can't blame that on the TV. Glad I went with this set.

Perfect size for our home. Exactly at q70 was described. However the Remote has kinks. Bixby function picks up talking from tv & mutes sounds on screen while still playing. Causes frustration so we disabled. Picture and sound great so far!

I LOVE this TV! I had done a lot of research on the various features before settling on this one. Then I played the waiting game for the price to drop, hoping it would happen before the TV I already owned gave out. I won! This TV was easy to setup and connect to all of my other devices (surround sound, dvr, blu-ray player). I am terrible at doing setups on my own but it was so easy with this TV. And while it said there should be two people involved in the setup I was able to do it by myself. (No, not recommended but possible.) The picture is amazing, the detail is so wonderful. The colors are vivid and the sound is very good. Worth every penny!

I bought the 55 inch for a Den in the back of the house, where the kids will hang out. I already have a 65 inch LG OLED in the Living Room, as well as a 55 inch 4K in the upstairs bedroom. I wanted a good overall TV, that would hold up to the rigors of the kids playing video games, but also have an excellent picture. The Samsung QLED was perfect for the area, and having a no burn in guarantee will hold up to kids falling asleep with the Tv on. This TV appears to be geared more towards gamers, with a Game Mode, and lower response times than most TVs in it's category, plus, QLEDs don't get burn in which is a plus. I will say the TV has an excellent, bright picture. Probably not quite as crisp and clean as my OLED, but a great pic nonetheless. If you are looking for a great all-around TV that can be used in a family room, especially for teens who like to play video games, then this is a good choice.

Upgraded from a 2005 1080p LCD and what a difference. Although my wife and I don’t want as much tv as we now have a little one we wanted a tv to last a long time and mount it on the wall to Gabe more room for the little one to play. We expect this to last us a long time and couldn’t be happier with the quality and ease of use! We also bought the Sonos Sound Bar to add to the rest of Sonos we have around the home!
