I have had 3 different Samsung EVO SSDs over the years. I started with a 128gb, upgraded to a 500gb, and now I have upgraded to a 1TB drive and it's great! I do a lot of music production and video gaming, so I quickly ran out of space on the 500gb drive. SSDs are so cheap now that I decided to pick up the 1Tb drive. I only buy Samsung SSDs because I have never had problems with any of them, and I can't say the same for other brands.

Samsung's SSD's work great. The only problem I encountered was finding that Samsung has cloning software on its web site and then locating it. Once the software was found the installation was very simple and straight forward. On my system it took about an hour to clone my existing hard drive to the new SSD (note: the driver software that Samsung's site needs to be loaded first only seems to apply with SSD's that use the M.2 interface.

Great and fast SSD. Easy to install and easy to use. The only con i have is it seems like the metal is cheap sheet metal but once you mount it you don't have to touch it no more. Very light compared to my kingston hyperx savage which is a bit more heftier. But overall it's a great and fast SSD that has a lot of space for a great price. I paid $114.99 when it was on sale.

I installed this 1 TB ssd in an aging, slow MacBook Pro. It’s like installing a jet engine! Not only was it easy, but the Mac never performed like this. Start up takes seconds, programs open instantly and going from a 500 GB hdd to 1 TB ssd doubled my storage! It’s like having a new MacBook! I researched ssd drives and this Samsung comes very highly rated.

I needed to replace the hard drive in my Dell laptop (working very slowly) and verified with Best Buy support that this was compatible. I watched a few online videos to learn how to replace the hard drive in my laptop and used the truly seemless Samsung Data Migration tool (downloaded for free from Samsung) to move EVERYTHING over from my old hard drive to this SSD. This program literally moves everything over (you just need to buy a USB SATA connecting cable to plug into your laptop and new SSD) from your old to your new drive. You plug the USB into your laptop and the wider SATA part into the new Samsung SSD. I bought one made by "SKL" on Amazon form like $10 instead of paying more and probably returning it after 1 use. It takes a while to migrate the info but worth the wait. Once finished, once you place the new Samsung SSD in your laptop and turn it on, there is NOTHING else to do after you turn it on. The Samsung Data Migration tool moves everything, including your files AND Microsoft Office programs over so you don't have to download them again. It's amazingly simple and the laptop starts up in less than 30 seconds.

I needed a SSD hard drive and Samsung was rated high so I’d give it a try and pleasantly surprised. Data migration was incredibly easy and what took computer experts do now Samsung made it easy. Once installed, my laptop boot up speed was TEN times faster and overall performance was faster. I do not have any benchmark test but was extremely satisfied with the Samsung EVO SSD.

I didn't think I could install this by myself. But I looked online and found plenty of YouTube videos and step by step instructions. Super easy! I had no trouble at all, and was done within 15 minutes. And that's it! Instant reward, speed picked up immensely and of course storage boost as well. This solved my PC problems and for a decent sale price! Thank you!

The 860 EVO 1TB is a great addition for speeding up your laptop and helping the battery last longer! Installation is a breeze and a direct replacement for the original slow spinning drive. Boot time is 40% of the prior time, programs load in a jiffy! This is my 3rd Samsung EVO drive. Rock solid, reasonably priced, and a terrific improvement for the performance of my laptop. Time is money :)

I upgraded my Windows 10 boot drive from a 4 year old 320 GB SSD to this Samsung and I'm glad I did. It was easy to clone my old drive to this one and the results were amazing. Windows, internet, and apps load quicker. If you're looking to improve the performance of your 3 or 4 year old SSD, I recommend this Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD for the price, capacity, and performance!

I really like my Windows laptop, but waiting for it to boot up and be ready to use had gotten very annoying. In addition, any program that made heavy use of the hard drive would be very slow. In all, I was no longer enjoying my laptop. When this SSD went on sale, I decided to see if it could revive my laptop. I downloaded some free software to clone my existing drive, since I had no interest in reinstalling everything. Yes, the drive comes with it's own software, but a number of reviews indicated that there were better choices out there. I already had a SATA external enclosure to use, so I popped this Samsung drive in the enclosure and fired up the cloning software. A couple hours later it was done and ready to be installed in the laptop. Unlike older hard drives, I didn't have to fool around with switches to be able to use the drive, I just hooked it up and turned on the laptop. Wow, what a difference! My laptop now has new life. It boots up quickly, and everything performs much faster. I'm enjoying using my Windows laptop again. If you're still using a platter-based hard drive, you owe it to yourself to swap it out for one of these--you may get to delay having to get a new machine. I considered other brands, but Samsung's drives have a better reputation, so I paid more to get one. For something this critical, don't take a chance on a bargain-basement drive.

I had been seeing laptops with 250 mg solid state drives for several hundred dollars so I decided to see if I could get a solid state for my existing laptop. I was very please to find out that I could get 1tb. My computer starts up quicker and really performs better on download and upload time. The cost was minimal compared to buying new laptop. All in all, very pleased.

Purchased this SSD drive to install in my desktop tower wanting to speed up booting time and site downloads plus the benefit of less power consumption. Once cloned and installed, I went from about a 60 to 80 second boot time to a full boot in about 20 seconds. There is also a noted increase in speed in opening web sites. Opening Word and Excel files and reading flash drives especially USB 3 flash drives open almost instantly. I chose the Sony EVO-860 for its high positive reviews as well as it being the top recommended drive. I was told that the San Disk SSD was also a good choice plus at close to a 20% savings.

ended up purchasing 3 of these 2 for my computer and one to swap out the traditional hard drive in the ps4 pro. Ssd no moving parts which means it generates less heat read and write speeds of 500-550mbps means less loading times. I have my windows boot drive on this ssd and it boots in under 5 seconds without any issues. Solid drive.

Absolutely awesome SSD. I now have 3 of these and they are all flawless. I did extensive research before purchase and Samsung is still the leader when it comes to speed and reliability of solid state drives. The difference between the Evo and Pro is marginal at best so this drive hit's the sweet spot for value as well.

Very fast and lots of storage. Use it as my main boot drive on my gaming PC. Loads games in a third of the time it takes on my WD Black HDD. Next upgrade is going to be a 2TB SSD they are that great. I only buy Samsung SSD's because I really trust their brand and quality control. Got it on sale New for about $125 around December 2019

as is expected with samsung devices, the SSD prerforms amazingly. an M.2 drive might be faster, but this is cheaper and easier to adapt to existing hardware. i have several of these that i have used in my desktops, and laptops. definitely one of the most significant upgrades i have done to any of my computers

SSDs continue to become more affordable on top of being faster and more reliable than HDDs. Samsung SSDs are excellent. Can replace the drive in your pc or serve as backup of your system and/or data. Easy to make a clone of your existing drive after downloading free Samsung Data Migration software if you pick up a USB to 2.5" SATA adapter .

You just can not beat the reliability, speed, and ease of setup. The data migration program allows you to clone a drive as a spare backup. I do this just incase I get some malware or virus. I clone my drive about once every 2 weeks. I have about 10 of these running in my small business and have had ZERO failures over the last 3 years.

Great SSD 5 year warranty I work great and fast, I own another one of these drives I bought at BB. and it was easy to clone the disk using Acronis software. it makes your laptop or PC run a lot faster. only problem is it took so long for a BB employee to acknowledge me in the computer Dept many walked past me ans I hope they correct this problem.

Got this for my PS4 Pro, games load so much faster! Overall, it feels like the entire system runs quicker with an SSD, boot time is dramatically faster, downloading games is also much faster. 1TB doesn't seem like a lot, but it is more than enough to install 15+ premium games.
