It has been 5 month since purchasing this SSD and it is still going strong. Adding this to me PC was the best performance boost that could be done. Windows 10 boots in 7 seconds. I liked this drive so much I recommended it to three family member who are now enjoying the speed boost. Being the tech savvy member of the family I was volunteered to do the migration for them but Samsung has you covered there as well. they have a free Samsung Data Migration application the is so easy anyone get do the migration.

I have been buying cheap SSDs for as long as they have been around. I always thought they were basically the same when it came to everyday performance. But this drive completely blows every other drive I've ever used out of the water. It is fast and never slows down. When running synthetic benchmarks it consistently maxes out the throughput on the SATA III interface and is more than twice the speed of any SATA SSD I've ever used before. I would put this on par with a cheap NVME SSD for overall speed and sustained performance. I am extremely happy with the quality of this drive.

Great SSD for a good price. I am currently using this as a secondary SSD in my system and it is snappy and reliable. Highly recommend!

There's nothing special here -- it's crazy-fast, it's super-reliable, it's fairly cheap, and it will probably work far longer than your computer will run. Great buy!

Great SSD, very quick and reliable and a good amount of storage space. I purchased this 2 years ago and it has worked great everyday since.

This SSD was installed in a part-time gaming computer without any trouble. As expected, it's really fast and the added storage was very welcomed. Price was also very nice.

Install your OS and any games that you want on this big(storage) and crazy fast SSD. At a decent price, especially if you get it on sale. Worth.

I purchased 3 Samsung SSDs (1 x 1TB and 2 x 500 GB). I cannot emphasize enough what a difference these have made. Two were installed in older systems (8+ years old), and now they run fast, probably better than new. I am especially surprised about the difference in my laptop's performance. This drive is well-made and has worked perfectly for me in 3 different systems. After a fair amount of shopping and research on SSDs, I landed on the Samsung EVO model. I am 100% thrilled with this drive. Fantastic value!

I bought this for a new PC build and it was exactly the size and price I needed. I decided to move all my games to it and they load at least 2-3 times faster.

Samsung is the clear winner in terms of reliability and performance in this market. I've purchased hundreds of Samsung SSD drives over the past few years and have never had one fail. Yes, you WILL pay a premium price for this drive versus other available options out there. But for that price you get top of the line performance and peace of mind. Well worth the extra coin when you get into drives 500GB and above. I install these and their M.2 variant in all of the laptops and desktops I sell that don't already have SSD drives in them.

Fast. Easy to install and setup. No issues running as an os drive for the past year. A great choice to cheaply revive an old system

I purchased the Samsung 860 EVA Solid State Drive for my 5 year old HP. The computer has 1 TB hard drive and an i7 chip. It has been getting slower recently, so purchased and installed the SSD. It used to take 3 minutes 50 seconds to boot up. Now it takes 40 seconds to boot up. Love it. The biggest problem I had was cloning the HP hard drive. Finally found the Macrium Software that had good instructions as to cloning the old drive to the new drive The fan seemed to run much more now that the SSD is installed, so purchased a Kootek laptop cooler and that seems to be keeping the temp down.

I bought this to upgrade my MacBook Pro mid 2012 from a hdd..let me say it save me 3500$ then purchasing a new MacBook Pro..so I can hold off for a lil while now. I all so purchased it with crucial 16gb ram.. made my laptop run fast and feel new again...boot time went from 2-5 mins to 30 seconds to less..and open applications immediately. When purchase this for an upgrade make sure you get ram as well FYI..easy to install and transfer data make sure purchase a data cable it does not come with one for the price it should

Samsung migration software worked wonders! Very straight forward process moving entire OS onto new drive! Affordable SSD, highly recommended.

When buying a new DELL Laptop recently I bumped the memory up to 32GB, added a M.2 SSD boot/program drive and replaced the internal mechanical drive with a large SSD, all from Samsung, the best in the memory chip business. The Samsung - 860 EVO 1TB had come down to a great price and the performance is awesome. I highly recommend it as the most (reliable) bang for the buck in the summer of 2018! I was disappointed though that Best Buy didn't carry any large SSD drives nor 16GB RAM upgrades in stock and I had to wait weeks to upgrade my new 17" 3-in-1 convertible laptop.

First time purchasing SSD for my first PC build. This component is fast, easy to use and at a steal of a price.

Great Drive at a GREAT PRICE! Upgraded our old mechanical Western Digital Blue HDD. Decided to go with an SSD and super glad we did. Found the Samsung EVO on sale at a great price. Had Geek Squad install in my son's computer and move his old drive over (wiped) for extra storage. It used to take like 12-15 min. to startup. Now it starts in a flash! Game performance is up as well. For the small price difference, SSD is definitely the way to go! Adds life to older PCs!

My 2nd purchase this year. Installed this on my wife’s 2015 Mac book pro with i5 cpu 8gb ram. The boot process used to take > 30mins. Now, I know why she never shuts it down and just puts in sleep mode! After the install, it boots up in < 20 seconds! All apps open a lot faster. Data migration is super easy with carbon copy free software (Apple disk util works,too). Again- My advise- before goin for a laptop replacement, consider upgrading to a Samsung EVO SSD first.
