Customer Ratings & Reviews

I have used so many Samsung drives. They are the most reliable and fastest drives I have used. They also have the lowest failure rate. I have probably installed nearly a thousand of them over the years, with little to no issues at all. I have tried some other brands, but I am always disappointed with their speed and reliability. But no so with Samsung. They are without a doubt the best ones on the market.

This drive is fast and the install was really easy. Transferring my OS over to this drive using Samsung tools was also a breeze and worked perfectly. I am very happy with the performance and have not had any issues so far. I recommend this drive to anyone who is looking to increase space and performance.

Great drive! Easy migration from old drive to new. VERY fast - really breathed new life into an over four year old laptop. And you cannot beat the specs regarding the reliability. Looking at buying at least one other for another laptop we have. And Best Buy's price was the same as that big online retailer so I bought it at Best Buy! And the BB online experience was excellent with same day pickup. Definitely 5 stars!!!

Upgraded to an SSD hard drive on 2 laptops and a desktop resulting in PC's that boot up in less than a minute vs the usual 3 to 4 minutes and occasionally 10 minutes previously. So rather than needing to buy 3 computers these hard drive upgrades resolved a number of issues. Additionally, all machines are now quiet.

Great purchase. Very easy to install as long as you have a data transfer cable - which I also purchased from Best Buy. Desktop now boots up in less than 5 seconds and all activities on the desktop are very fast. Inexpensive investment to improve the performance of your PC.

I use this drive to replace a bad drive in my wife's laptop computer I choose this drive becase of the name Needed a reliable drive It was recognized right away All screw holes lined up And the speed was incredible Was able to reinstall the os and backed up data in no time

Purchased for my desktop as I was running low on storage. Very fast and reliable, and will fit all standard sized drive bays. Uses the standard SATA cable and power connector. There are faster SSDs than this one, but for the price, this will fit the bill for most people. Prices for SSDs have dropped quite a bit while the storage amount has greatly increased.

Until my next build has NVME options, I had to stick w/ 2.5" form factor SSD drives. This was the best overall solution for the main O/S drive replacement. Fortunate to have purchased this before datacenter techbros nearly doubled the price of anything with flash memory. If you have the $ to spend at current price, would recommend.

I bought this to upgrade an older laptop that was running slow, and now it feels brand new! The 870 EVO is the gold standard for SATA SSDs—reliable, consistent, and easy to install. Shipping from Best Buy was fast and the drive arrived well-packaged.

I bought this because I was running out of room for games and needed an easy way to add more storage. Installation was surprisingly simple, and once I had it set up, it worked exactly the way I hoped. The drive is fast, games load quickly, and having the extra 1TB means I’m not constantly deciding what I need to uninstall just to make room for something new. I’ve had no issues with performance or reliability. If you’re looking for a straightforward storage upgrade for a gaming PC, this is an excellent choice. Easy to install, fast, reliable, and gave me exactly the extra space I needed. Very happy with it.

The Samsung - 870 EVO 1TB Internal SSD SATA is an excellent product. I bought it at a good price and its storage capacity is ideal for the work I do. The design and the size in which it was built fits perfectly in any laptop. His performance is excellent.

This is amazingly quiet compared to my older hard drive. It is a smaller laptop size but did fit into the space where the full size original hard drive was located. Screws didn't line up, so I used zip ties. I am very pleased with the speed and easy installation.

Quality drive as usual. I highly recommend the 860 EVO to anyone with an aging laptop that is still running an old school spinner, hhd. It'll be a game changer in the way of performance boost, especially if you have never used a machine with an ssd. If you have an available m.2 port then go for the 970 EVO. It's even faster than the SATA 860! I have purchased several of these over the passed few years and have had great luck with them. I also have several 970 EVO Plus and recently picked up three 870 EVO. Jury is still out on the 870s as I have not installed them yet and benchmarked them should get around to that soon.

Regardless of storage size, it’s pretty fast compared to other SSDs and is physically nice and small to fit into any build. Setting it up is easy and will load things just fine. I’d recommend this one if you don’t have an option for an NVMe storage device.

The speed and reliability of this drive is excellent, for the price. I had purchased this 1tb drive to be my new OS drive, as my old one was beginning to show early signs of failure. After making a Windows 11 boot/install thumb drive, I installed the new Samsung 1tb SSD, got the install finished and registered my OS. Everything wwnt smoothly and is running better. Excellent drive, easy to use, very reliable and efficient.

I bought the Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SSD to increase the video storage capacity of my eufy HomeBase 3 security camera system. It installed and formatted easily and quickly. It's a fast drive for video recording and accessing. It's been a great SSD so far.

This new version of the long running Samsung EVO drives has been great so far. There's not much noticeable difference in loading screens between my 970 evo NVME M2 drive and this SATA drive, which while not surprising, makes this seems a bit noticeably faster than my older generation samsung SATA evo drive. The packaging it comes in is decent for pc hardware and the Samsung Magician diagnostic software is useful and pretty well laid out. From what I'm experiencing so far with this drive, and taking the reviews of it into consideration, it's probably the best overall 1tb SATA SSD on the market for the money right now. It's one of the fastest SATA SSDs on the market and should be reliable. It's decently priced. Thumbs up.

I've been using variations of this SSD since at least 2014, or 2015 and have never had any issues. Easy install, rarely if EVER have I had corruption or any major problem. Worth every penny!

The Samsung 1 TB 870 EVO drive is a fabulous SATA drive, and until recently, was very reasonably priced 6 months ago in January of 2026.. Hopefully the prices will come down, but the product is solid in manufacture and reliability.

Works really fast and super easy to install, i used this for my ps4 pro
