I liked it's color, and functionality, a very good phone for the price.

I needed a new phone and Best Buy offered me the best options. This one is far superior than my old phone.

Thought i was upgrading from a Galaxy A14 but this A36 proved me wrong.Ph gets HOT,Freezes up while using apps over and over.Wanted to return it,i thought i had 30 days,surprise i only got 2 wks !! Picture & Screen are good but performance is bad .

When my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra unexpectedly failed, I needed a replacement fast. As a former Galaxy Note 9 user, I’m no stranger to premium smartphones, but the $1,200 price tag of the newly released S25 Ultra felt steep on such short notice. Instead, I turned to the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G, a model that had launched just a day earlier. My approach was pragmatic: try it out, and if it fell short, return it for a flagship upgrade. To my delight, the A36 5G has proven itself a worthy contender. Priced at $400, the Galaxy A36 5G delivers a surprising level of performance. It’s responsive for web browsing and video streaming, and the handful of mobile games I tested ran without a hitch. While it may not handle graphically intensive titles like Genshin Impact, it’s well-suited for casual gaming and daily tasks. The 6.7-inch OLED display is a highlight—bright, vibrant, and paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for exceptionally smooth visuals. As a fan of larger screens, I find the size ideal. The camera system is another strong point, producing sharp photos and supporting 4K video recording—a rarity at this price. Storage is limited to 128GB with no microSD slot, which works for my needs but could be a constraint for heavy photographers or videographers. Thankfully, cloud storage options like Google Drive offer a practical workaround for most users. Staying in Samsung’s ecosystem pays off here, as the A36 5G integrates seamlessly with my Galaxy Buds Pro 3 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, unlocking their advanced features. Not long ago, expecting a 120Hz display, 4K video, and solid performance from an entry-to-mid-tier phone like this would have been unrealistic. The Galaxy A36 5G reflects how much this segment has evolved. Against flagship standards, I’d score it a 3.5 out of 5—it can’t rival the sheer power or versatility of top-tier devices. But for its $400 price and robust feature set, it earns a well-deserved 5 out of 5. For now, I’m content sticking with the A36 5G; it meets my needs without the premium cost of a flagship.

Great phone. Battery life is decent. Screen is excellent. The only issue with the phone is that it may seem buggy at times. For the price, it is hard to find any phone that is reliable and as good . I have tried Pixels in the past, but they are not as good of an experience as galaxies provide. I like that it only has few AI features as they are gimmicks than anything else. It takes great pictures that is on par with phones at this price.

After my Samsung 53A went dark, i replaced it with this similar phone. I had to use the internet on my Samsung Smart TV to browse your website...My new phone has many features i enjoy...although having to learn a few tiny changes! Trying to find the Apps offered 2 methods so I can still switch screens for tasks. The transfer of my old data was easy and got me up to speed. Yes, it even makes phone calls, just amazing! Ok, one less star for the protective case size; only 1/4 " difference - making me purchase newer accessories. Typical of switching any phone, i guess.

Phone performs and does everything I need. It is best geared for people who do basic calling and texting on their phone. Camera quality is good, just what I need. It is a great mid-tier phone. The battery also lasts all day. There is not much to improve on this model. It even comes in great color options.

Honestly comparable to my s24 ultra, very solid phone for the price as long as you understand that it will be a little slower than the top end but the gap is closing this generation.

Major upgrade from my previous phone. The caera specs arw great and so much more customizable functionality! I also really love the lime green color, went for something new this time around. The customer service aroind getting this ohone was exceptional too.

The positive: Nice and large screen. Great display and ample brightness BUT could use an extra 20-300 nits. Decent camera if the lighting is right. Nice color of the device (Awesome Lime). The Negative: Way too slippery and a case makes this phone even bulkier and harder to hold with one hand. The fingerprint reader is as bad as the one on the A35. You must sometimes press it 3-4 times or hold your finger in place for several seconds. The A25 had a better side fingerprint reader than this under screen one. The Snapdragon 6 gen 3 is not so snappy. Call quality is mediocre. The battery just barely makes it through the day with medium usage.

Ideal for users who prioritize elegance, lightweight feel, and long-term updates—but tech-heavy users might find the battery and camera compromises too steep.

The phone brings some manufacturing defects such as the phone getting too hot and more when you turn it on for the first time but from there everything is fine

One of the better android phones I've had. So far so good! Still a bit big for me, but most phones are these days.

To be a cheap phone it was worth the trade. At times its a littil slow at processing but overall i recommend especially for youth. I myslef love it. Its cute in color.

Honestly its better than i expected looks alot similar to the s24plus and s24 fe only difference is the cameras. But for a person that only uses the phone for calls, text and emails its not bad at all

My mom loved it. She had a super slow phone, but this one is fast, has good quality photos, and isn't heavy.

I like that it is better faster more memory more secure better camera os is great the glass nice love the resolution no jack speaker system fabulous six years of updates greaaaaaaat.

I am pleased with the phone. I am not so pleased with my credit card, which offered ninety dollars back if purchased, but not until after the purchase. Sigh.

A good middle of tbe road phone. It does not have some of the features of the high price phones but I don't need those anyway. Works great for phone, text, emails, and basic functions.
