I usually don't write reviews, but I felt this device deserved it! My 2 year old LOVES it!! I had bought a Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet, 7" Display, 16 GB, Blue Kid-Proof Case from Amazon first.. there's no comparison, this samsung tablet is a kids dream... I mean it literally stays charged from the time she wakes up until she goes to bed that night.. and then I charge it overnight. Not saying that she is constantly on it, but it does stay on as she goes and plays with other toys. She mostly uses the YouTube kids app, but the Samsung kids+ is really cool... I found that since I'm familiar with Samsung products (I've had every Samsung galaxy thats came out) it was really easy to get her tablet up and running... I was a little worried that the green case wasn't going to be durable enough.. I was very wront.. its easier for her to handle vs the bulky fire 7 kids edition... I can't express enough that if you're on the edge of which tablet to choose (there's so many!) YOUR SEARCH IS OVER!! DONT second guess.. buy buy buy it! Your kids will thank you and you will thank samsung!! Ps; she has learned her colors, animals, numbers.. she's learned so much thanks to this tablet

My son loves this tablet. Please make sure you put the protection plan on it!! My son broke the screen in 3 days of purchase and we bought him another one (same one)...bummer but the second one was on sale. I love that the Samsung Kids app is easy enough for him to access on his own and he can not get off unless I put in a code. The tablet has a great battery life. I was able to load other apps to the tablet with ease. I would recommend upgrading the case to one that encloses the entire tablet like I did for the second one.

Love it so much, there’s not much my little one can move while watching his videos or doing ABC mouse. I did change the case because the other one is a little bit heavier for my 2 year old.

Purchased these lovely tablets for my twin boys with a great deal and they loved it.

Great tablet for kids my daughter plays in it all the time but it actually teaches and it come with Samsung kids for 3 months free I needed up buying the year for her after

My Son seems to absolutely love it so far! I have a galaxy phone, so that made for easy set up!

Had this for 7 months daughter only ever used in living room on couch. One day she showed it to me and screen was totally fuzzy and unable to use or tap. Tried to contact Samsung since it was under warranty but they require a serial number. I didn't have the box and was unable to access tablet as screen was unable To use. The serial number on back was so small and light we couldn't see it even with multiple magnifier lenses. Went to Best Buy they were even unable to read serial number or get it off tablet for me. Contacted Samsung again and they once again were useless and so rude. Now I have a $120 tablet that doesn't work and Samsung doesn't want to help. Will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

SAMSUNG SUSPENDED THEIR KID’s PLATFORM, Kids +. Do not purchase these devices. Samsung gave zero warning (despite the fact that a massive decision at a massive company was likely a year in the making) and continued to sell these devices throughout the Christmas season before abruptly turning off the service in February. The ONLY information that can be found is through a search and careful website selection that “announces” their ending of the service. They did not notify customers and even the app itself makes no mention of the situation and leaves you believing something is wrong with the tablet, itself. HORRIBLE. I am beyond angry and will never give a dime to Samsung again. Oh, you want a refund? Send them an email to ask for the money they owe you! Are you kidding me?!?!?!

This tablet has lasted 4 years so far. It’s QUICK, holds a lot of apps, and doesn’t crash when you’re playing a game or watching a show. It’s not like those cheap tablets that barely work. I have two of these between my 3 boys and the screen used to get broken often until I found a good case on Amazon for it. Now I don’t have any issues.

Bought this for my child to be able to connect w/classmates for school purposes during COVID crisis. Tablet can be used as an "adult" version when taken out of kids mode. Great size for kids & beautiful green/yellow rubber protective case makes it easy for them to not drop it. Love the parental control features. Would be better if there was a way to log child off games/ set timers through android phone. Love that you can set it up to have parent grant permission through mobile device before allowing child to download an app. Overall serves its purpose.

In a nutshell is just a Galaxy tablet with a thick cover for kids. But given the price point, it serves well as an introduction into how to properly and safely use technology. Make sure you password protect everything to avoid your kid accessing inappropriate sites or purchase apps without your permission. We have a lot of academic and interactive apps and so far the app hasn't frozen on us or memory run out so I do recommend it. Worst case scenario, I rather have my kid brake a $120-ish tablet than a $500 tablet so again the price point is appreciated.

Some complain about the heaviness of it but it's because of the rubber protector, which is great. My girls have already dropped it a few times and nothing's happened to it. No issues at all. Works fast, not only for kids, but for adults as well. It is a great buy for anybody of any age. If you're an extreme user and want this combo of kids/growing older with it table of course it will not satisfy you. The camera is good. My girls are 5 & 6, and they love the Samsung Kids app. I do too! No worries about them clicking on adds, downloading things or opening things that I don't want them to. They can't even exit the app without the parental code! It is 100% safe for them to navigate this gaming/learning app. I did not buy the full version of it or bought additional games/books. For them 2, it has plenty of content that they like, love, and enjoy. Oh! And it is true, awesome battery life! Even when it's on the low battery mode with just a bit of percentage left, it still goes on for a long time.

I bought two of these, one for each granddaughter, and we are all very pleased with them. Primarily, the purchase was made during the Covid-19 pandemic because my oldest granddaughter needed a tablet to do her schoolwork but both girls found it easy to use their tablet. They use education games, just-for-fun games, listen to music, draw and so much more! Granddaughters are happy to have them and the sturdy covers that come with them are excellent! The cover protects the tablet and makes the tablet easier to hold.

There's so many different tablets out there right now for toddlers. We weren't sure which one to get. But after reading reviews of this one we went for it. It comes with the protector on the plus side! My little girl currently uses this for her nursery rhymes. The only con I'd say about it is that there's no lock button to lock the touchscreen so that my daughter won't constantly change what she's watching, but then again I don't think any of the kids tablet has this option!! Another plus side to this is that the battery lasts so long!!

this tablet works great it has a heavy-duty rubber cover it's a large 8in screen which is way better than the last one easy to use the kids love it

Kiddo broke his Kindle Fire, which we weren't entirely happy with, so we replaced with this Samsung. We like that he isn't "stuck" inside of Samsung Kids App (on the Kindle Fire, Amazon Free Time makes it nearly impossible to leave the app). LOVE the battery life, LOVE that we can easily control which apps appear on kiddo's home screen. Don't love the price, which is way out of line with comps. Don't love how hard it is to download games in the Samsung App. And wish it came with more memory and a screen protector. The case is DEFINITELY not as stronga protector as the one the Kindle comes with, so this would not be good for a toddler or young child who drops or throws their tablet.

I bought this for my kids because while I can buy other tablets cheaper it always comes back to Samsung Galaxy tabs work. This has a different processor than the normal A8 and it has a silicone case. The preloaded software takes a few seconds when booting. But man this tablet is like having a real tablet than is pretty bullet proof. My 5 and 7 year old have yet to break it - unlike the other ones that I had that broke about once a year. My 2 yr old inherited the original 7 inch Galaxy tablet which is still running like 7 or 8 years later.
