The tablet has a nice huge screen is slick to the touch. It has fingerprint sensors if you like those kind of features. Has all the features you would find in the S6 or S7 for that matter. Hasn't slowed down yet (over a month old) and opens apps quickly

The gold color is calm and clean, not like a bright gold color. The tablet has been very easy to use from the start, I haven't had any problems with it at all. I did get the cover with bluetooth keyboard. It's nice as well but would have liked to get a cover that either matched or coordinated with the gold color, instead of black. blah. I like to read my tablet in bed at night but with the keyboard on it, it's fairly heavy, however it detaches so easy it's rediculous. This tablet is way better than my previous one!

I'm very impressed with my S2 it is way better than I thought. After owning Samsung Galaxy Tab4, I definitely upgraded, the pictures makes you feel like you can reach out and touch and smell the picture. Videos are Great! I'm so greatful that I stayed with Samsung Galaxy product. And I plan on my next tablet to be a Samsung Galaxy! Money well spent. I tell everyone, and everyone asks me what did I use to take pictures?!

I was looking to upgrade my Google tablet. Since I didn't have a choice for a Google tablet, which I loved, I had to choose a different one. The descriptions and reviews helped me a lot to make up my mind. I really liked the price, the new features (like a bigger memory) and weight. I hope it will work and last as long as my old tablet.

I love this tablet. I upgraded to the S2 9.7 from my iPad mini 2, which was getting a bit beat up and had become incredibly laggy after the iOS 10 upgrade. I also wanted a bit of a larger screen for watching movies and reading eBooks/articles. I love the AMOLED display, which is much brighter and more vibrant than my mini's, and the processor gets the job done for all of my everyday tasks. If I were buying a tablet primarily for work (which I am not), I probably would have gone with the iPad Pro, but the Pro's price didn't seem worth it to me for my particular needs (web browsing, video streaming, and reading). The SD card slot is also worth its weight in gold, and I'm so impressed by how thin and light this device is, even with the larger screen size. Also, although I've read several reviews bashing this tablet's battery life, I'd like to add that I've been getting really good battery performance from my S2--I have been routinely seeing 8-10 hours of "screen on" time, mostly from watching Netflix and Amazon Video. If you have a Samsung smartphone (like I do), I also highly recommend this tablet because of the "SideSync" app, which allows you to wirelessly connect your phone and tablet and mirror the two displays/quickly transfer data between the devices. Too cool! The device's "cons"--no latest-generation Exynos processor, no QHD resolution, no all-metal casing--are, at least for me, not really "must have" features. I don't really notice the lack of these things in real-world usage, and I really wouldn't want to pay the premium price for them, anyway. So, in general, I'd recommend this tablet for casual users like myself.

I wanted a tablet pc that was high performance and affordable. This tab has plenty of power, a very high definition display, and will last long into the future. Quite often, when in the market for electronics, I research online then go to my local Best Buy store to check out the product in person. I first saw this item on sale back in October of this year. Best Buy had it on sale for a great price but it was still more than I wanted to pay. Later, I saw it at an online retailer at a better price but it was for a limited time and I missed that opportunity. Fortunately, I was watching out for it on the Best Buy Pre-Black Friday sales. The price was greatly reduced, so I purchased it immediately. I have been watching the price since then and have not seen it any lower than what I paid. Once more, Best Buy was there with a great product at a great price.

High end tablet for a reasonable price

To begin, I know the Tab 3 has been released so the Tab 2 isn't the newest version, but it's still a great tablet without having to spend $500-600 or more. The only tablet I had used before was a very old 1st generation iPad that my employer provided when they upgraded many years ago. After a few years it wasn't good for much except checking my email, playing solitaire, and surfing the web, though once it wasn't receiving updates that was the end and I was without a tablet for several years. I had been looking and didn't have much $ to spend, plus I wanted one with at least a 9" screen. Everything I was finding had less than 2GB of memory and 8-16GB of storage. Tablets with more started at $400 and up. Then last year Best Buy had an early Black Friday sale with their Galaxy Tab S2 9.7" 32GB with 3GB of memory on sale for $280, which originally had been $499. It was more than I initially wanted to spend, but was too good a deal, so I bit the bullet and I haven't regretted it for a second. It's incredibly thin and light and since I have a Samsung smart tv, it will connect to that if I want to. I have a 2 year old LG phone through AT&T which is on a monthly plan, and I can connect them to allow the tablet access to my phone's data if no WiFi is available. A number of the apps on my phone transferred over and the calendars sync, which is great, though not all of the shared apps will. It comes with the basic Microsoft programs, which is so helpful when creating documents and saving them to Dropbox so that I can access them on my phone, which doesn't have Microsoft products. Of course it has some negatives that I've found so far. Don't count on the camera as your main camera. The pictures aren't great, though it does have both front and rear facing cameras. It doesn't come with a stylus, which would be nice. It comes preloaded with apps that most people won't want, but they can be disabled. My biggest issue is that the screen is not very sensitive to touch - it takes a firm tap when selecting an icon or typing for it to respond, so you have to really watch when you type that it's entering every letter you hit and there is no way to adjust this in the settings. Oddly, though, other areas on the screen are very sensitive, so you have to be careful not to touch anywhere else on the screen or you may lose everything that you have entered. The touch issue may just be my tablet, though. Overall, even though it's not the newest version, it's still a great tablet for the money.

I bought this tablet on the early Black Friday sale a month ago, so it was nearly half of it's original price. It was still more than I initially wanted to spend, but it was well worth the extra money. The cheaper tablets I had been looking at had half of the storage and memory, while the Tab 2 has 32GB of storage and 3GB of memory. I knew the Tab 3 was out, but the Tab 2 fit all of my needs and was the size I wanted. I use the tablet for basic day-to-day applications such as email, social media, and the internet. I haven't tried to stream any videos yet, but the speaker is rather anemic, so if good sound quality is important, look elsewhere. Since I have a Samsung smart tv, it will connect to that if I want to. It comes preloaded with some apps that I didn't need, but I was able to uninstall those. Many of the apps and info transferred over from my cell phone even though it's an LG. The only one that doesn't always sync very well is the calendar, which I hope I can fix. I also love that it has Microsoft apps. It only comes with the charger, so you have to purchase a micro USB cable separately. For the price of the tablet, this is something that I think should be included. The only issue I have is that it's not as touch sensitive as other tablets I've used or my phone is, and there is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the touch according to the Geek Squad. I have to tap icons and letters on the keyboard more firmly, and when I'm typing I have to be careful to make sure the letter I've tapped shows up. However, if you're holding the tablet in your lap and typing, be careful not to have your fingers or thumb touching the top of the screen anywhere as that area seems to be plenty sensitive. If you even barely touch the top, anything you have typed is gone when the page changes. Example: this is the 2nd time I've typed this review.

I always had ipad, but once I held the S2 tab I knew it was the one. Very light weight, apps run smooth with no lag, and what can I say about the screen, love screen the most. Battery has been very good going 3 days or so on one charge with most screen time used for reading and internet surfing. Don't watch many movies on it. I would recommend this tablet to anyone looking for one.

I have loved my Samsung Note 5 phone for a couple of years. Used it for chasing down almost everything I needed to find out because it is simply faster than my windows based laptop. But this tablet is not only fast and easy to use partly due to my familiarity with androids and Samsung in particular but it is much bigger than even the largest phone. Bigger is beautiful. So much more fun for games and videos. I highly recommend this tablet.

Running Android 7 Nougat right out of box

The one I got today is running Android 7 Nougat right out of box (BestBuy description says Android 6). Brilliant screen, extremely fast. At $279.99, it is impossible to beat the quality and price. If you don't need S pen functionality, this is best choice. I guess very few people will use tablet camera these days. There is no reason to pay more to get a better camera on Tab S3 which costs $200 more. I added a SanDisk - Extreme PLUS 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card (for $24.99) and put some HD movie on the card and tested both the card and tablet using open source VLC player. Not even a single skip. You do need a head phone since both speakers are at the bottom of the tablet. I guess you watch movie using this on flights instead of at home so a headphone is needed anyway.

This tablet`s 3 gig of ram puts it ahead of most tablets and is a really good value. The display is vibrant and sharp. I use it for casual surfing and the 9.7 inch screen is easy on the eyes. It has two speakers and is surprising. If you can't afford the 3 or don't need the extra power this is the tablet for you. The split screen 2 app feature is handy to chat and surf or do any two things at once. It handles regular websites just fine. The expandable storage is really nice. It's lightweight .
