Awesome product but its worth nothing do not pay best buy 450 its a sham

I was kind of on the fence about buying this because it only had 2GB of Ram, but since owning it for several weeks now I've found it to have around 998MB of open Ram after installing all the apps that I'm currently using which is quite a few. The octacore cpu is fairly fast making it zip right along. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phone/phablet running Android 5.1.1 and some of my apps from the Google Play Store aren't compatible with this tablet. Around 5% of 900+ apps which isn't a deal breaker, but a minor inconvenience. Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Max Go, EPIX, Showtime Anytime, Starz Play and Encore Play look pretty good, but you have to have the tablet around 2 feet away to take it all in because of the big screen. I definitely enjoy the larger screen while viewing these apps. Some apps have a small main screen when you open them, but when you use the app it usually goes full screen. Although about 2% of this type of app will still have a reduced screen size. These are usually system/tool type apps for your Android phones. Typing is really easy with the large on screen keyboard. I also use a bluetooth keyboard too when I'm typing alot of information and want a faster, smoother and more comfortable way to type over touchscreen. Playing games with a bluetooth gamepad like a Moga Pro is alot better than playing them on a phone or phablet. I use a stylist also to play touchscreen games and to use the tablet instead of putting my finger all over the screen. This is the rubber tipped capacitive stylists. BestBuy sells 3 in a single package for $19.95 in the store, look for them because it's a good aid in operating this big tablet. As far as surfing the Internet using Android, this is hands down the best experience I've had on Android. I thought that I might not like the fixed stand, but it kind of grows on you with its 2 fixed positions. One for your lap and one for standing it up. The top part of the stand has a handle opening cut into the plastic which makes transporting the tablet more easy and safer. My wife loves using it in the kitchen standing it up and viewing recipes. I've also used it in my work area in our garage standing it up while viewing instructions on repairing and building items. It was an indispensable asset that I can't believe that I've lived without all these years. It's amazing all the uses I've figured out for this big tablet that I wouldn't have ever thought of before I owned one. Now that my wife and I have put this big tablet through our various uses we can't imagine not having this in our home and probably will buy another one so we don't fight over whose turn it is to use it next. It boots fast, so it makes you not want to mess with a laptop or PC to surf the Internet, do emails or shop. I installed a 64GB SD card in it, but it will take up to a 128GB. If you like playing Android games on a larger screen or just like seeing things on the Internet on something larger than your Android phone or smaller Android tablet and you're tired of waiting on a laptop or PC to boot up, then this 18.4" tablet is an excellent option to make your life a little more convenient. I purchased this last night on impulse, but really glad I did. I love the huge screen that I can sit in my lap while my husband watches tv on his big screen. Im not a techy so I don't get preoccupied with the processing power and all that. I just know that it's really snappy and does everything I need to do like work with my Google account, verizon messenger, netflix and stuff like that. I'm really looking forward to working with my photos on it and using it for work from home. So far battery life has been good and it's sits up on my kitchen counter really nicely. sometimes bigger is better.

I love this item. I bought a wireless bluetooth keyboard to use with it. So easy to work with and see and user friendly too. I am very impressed with this tablet. Worth the cost and I love it. Like a giant tablet. So happy I bought this item.

I enjoyed the size and performance of this tablet; the resolution was good. It works great on the kitchen table, which was my main purpose for the device. I wanted the ability to watch movies and look up receipes while cooking. I really didn't care for the shifting, unattachable back/stand/handle. It would have been better to have a choice of removing the back if I wanted, but I could live with that considering the better viewing angle compared to using a laptop. Its light weight makes it easier to tote to the next room without having to deal with wires and outlets, which brings me to the real deciding factor in returning it. There is only a Micro SD port, which didn't work, no USB, and no HDMI. I tried using a micro USB adapter that still failed to work properly. I couldn't get any of my information on to this tablet. Overall, it wasn't a total bust, but I had to return it. I guess I'm ahead of my time in what I'm looking for. I may just get an All-In-One, it's not as light as I would like, and it's still wired, but at least it'll have all I need.

Funny this thing was designed as a media consumption device. That's not what I'm using it for. After reading user and pro reviews and watching YouTube videos, I decided to sell my 2015 Google Chromebook Pixel and buy this beast with a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard. I wanted something bigger than a laptop and I'm also a big Android/Google guy. This combo does everything my Pixel did and more. It's like a Chromebook on steroids. Plus I love the giant task list, Gmail, and calendar widgets - which you can't do on a Chromebook. While I primarily will use this at home, this thing also will make a fantastic presentation device using Google Slides, which I have grown to love. And despite the size, the built in stand/handle makes it pretty easy to move around. All of the Google apps work fantastically on this device, which provides a great big canvas to get work done. YouTube looks fantastic on the giant screen. So far I'm pleased with my decision to repurpose this beast as a desktop computer. I know this would not work as a desktop computer for everyone, but for me it is pretty sweet.

I don't have cable and I only have one TV in my apartment. This is great because I can watch YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc without being confined to one room, while also checking emails and browsing the Internet. I wish it had a removable back and that it had more ports.

I purchased this tablet as an early Christmas gift (for myself ) lol I have to say it didn't disappoint me at all. I have a Samsung note 5( love it )and two other Samsung tablets I lucked out on the price it was on an online sale for 499.99 I love it it has such clear and amazing picture quality huge screen and even though it's huge it's light weight and easy to carry around. I haven't found any cons yet I am very pleased with this tablet as well as all our Samsung products

Looking for something easy to take outside or around the house for TV. Set up was easy and it works with my Galaxy S5 as well. Streams Wi-Fi well and the picture is great! Great tablet!

The screen is huge and very bright as the speakers are very loud. I use it for watching videos in my bedroom. When I'm out in my patio (My version of the Man Cave.) I use it as a monitor for my DartsLive 200s board. Since it fits in my Alienware backpack, I also lug it my local sports bar on Sunday. I use the Galaxy view as my second monitor to watch NFL Red Zone while not missing the game the sports bar choose to show. My kids love using it in the car on long rides to watch movies saved from Vudu and Netflix. The battery life is fabulous, after watch several episodes of Bing Band Theory from Vudu, and playing Clash of Clans and Animation throw down, the battery register at 64% after 5 hours of use!!! This product main not be for everyone, but it sure fits my life style.

I recently went back and forth in my head about purchasing new device for leisure I.e. Different social media apps, games, etc. I wanted to stay with my iPad Air 2, that is, until I walked into the store today and saw this. I instantly went to customer service to trade my iPad in. After that, they gave me a gift card with the trade amount on it. I then took that to the NLR store, ( the LR store was sold out.), and purchased it. The 18.4 inch screen definitely comes in handy. If i didn't have to talk, text, or FaceTime, I probably wouldn't ever pick up my iPhone. My iPad screen was about 9.3 inches. Basically half the size of this screen. The process of setting it up was easy. If you want a large screen for reading, gaming, or streaming movies etc, this is the device for you!

I never thought that I would have such fun with an 18.4 inch tablet. This tablet is one terrific tablet and does almost anything a a laptop or television can do. I can't believe that I am watching television on this tablet with all the stations, as well as, the movies and apps that come along with it. It is lightweight to carry and has a nice picture quality. Many apps you will find won't fit or work on the screen because of the screen size, however, there are many that will. You can type or speak whatever you want if you are searching for something. It is also amazingly fast. I am truly enjoying this tablet and using it as a TV as well. It is well worth the money and I think you will enjoy using it. Try it and I am sure you will like it!!

It seemed like a crazy purchase but I am super pleased with my purchase as it has been my go to device for all my home surfing, lite duties from work etc. I love the stand as it is super stable in the upright position and super comfortable in the lap, the screen is great and I had a 12.2 Tab Pro and do not miss it at all.

first of all just want to mention ive had it for 5 months now The tablets great, some can criticize it for not being a top performer. But its made to do one task, Play videos. Its great at doing so Pros -quality is fine for the distance you watch it at couldn't as for better -speakers are like tv ones, not too bassy but they are plenty loud -battery lasts a good amount of time Cons -stands built in so its stuck in one of two positions, which isn't good for doing non video streaming tasks -charger needs a wall not simply usb over all if your looking for a media streaming only tablet and you have one to use on the side for doing the everyday stuff then its perfect. The quality is right where it should be for what it needs to do and its never laggy. Would I buy it again- 100% would and if I dropped it id buy another because it does what no other tablet is built to do.

SOUND is excellent, clear and sounds like it’s coming through the screen itself - which is optimal for most situations. LOVE IT. Wish it were bigger.

I know how important reviews are while shopping, so this is why I am leaving one. I recently moved and in previous home I had a small TV connected to cable in kitchen. I had the perfect little corner so it didn't obstruct the counter top. Not so in the new place. We would have had to run the cable line through cabinets, etc. Takes too much time, destroys walls and cabinets, messy, etc. I searched in vain for an under cabinet TV, but they all seem antiquated and better used for an RV. I wanted my counter free of a TV. I selected this device for a number of reasons. First, I can stream live tv through my cable company. Who needs a cable line if you can do that? The "tablet" is very slim and takes up very little room, even though it's on my counter. Beautiful picture, sound is okay (speaker is in the back). As an added bonus, we will use this in the family room to browse sites, I will use it to watch cooking videos. So, we are using it primarily for a TV, with a handy secondary use as a tablet. It's LARGE and the back does not completely fold down, so remember that there are only two ways to use the stand attached - either standing upright on a counter/desk/table or laying slightly pitched up on one's lap. Wonderful product and serves my needs perfectly.

They didn't leave anything out! The 18 inch screen is crystal clear and the definition couldn't get any better. I LOVE the fact that I can download Apps onto the Samsung View and I can you my finger or stylus as it has a touchscreen. The touchscreen itself was one of the main buying decisions for me. Anything you can do with a Tablet, Television & Computer you can do with this wonderful machine. Also, I Loved it so much that I got one for my Mom for Mother's Day. I will be buying 3 more for my Sister's kids. BTW, it's my Mom's new favorite thing and she's a picky tech savvy 74 year old woman :)

I had been wanting to get my wife a new tablet and the screen size sold me on this one. She loves it, quality resolution, quick load times, and ease of use has scored me some huge Hubby Points.....to be used at a later date....HA!

Simply said the screen is a thing of beauty. The picture is crystal clear and looks amazing when you are watching movies or playing games. The product feels lighter than the screen size would suggest so moving it around is a breeze. The on screen keyboard is very precise and gives you the feeling of typing on a full size keyboard.
