The VR technology is just starting to be useful and fun. The device is easy to use, but lenses do get a bit fogged up after extended usage. Really read the reviews on apps from other users as you'll know if some app may give you motion sickness or not

This thing is super cool. Definitely the ultimate gaming device, we now just need more games! Watching movies is not that great, even though each half of the Note 4 has more pixels than an HDTV, the problem is that you are so close to them that you can actually see them, so it feels like very low quality even though it is HD. But who cares, playing 3D games on it is fantastic!

the head tracking movement is amazing! the resolution needs to be improved. there is a bit of screen-door effect (like looking through a screen door at the outside world). this is more apparent with the videos or movies than it is in games. that being said, it is definitely the coolest toy on the block.

I was able to pick this up for 99.99... but would be willing to pay even more. So far my experience with it has been amazing. 3D movies look great, the games play very smoothly and more content is being added all the time. Every friend I have try it out has loved it. Sure there is a 'screed door effect' and it is not going to look like full HD, but for me it was all about the experience... which has been stellar (use it almost daily still).

Sure, lots of the apps are useless, its dumb that I cant use my moga gamepad for the vr games but - the repeated exclamations of "HOLY ****" is all you need to hear to know youve stepped into a new world. The viewing angle could be larger, the lens could fog less easily and I repeat the sentiment that it overheats too quickly. However, these things are all part of the early adopter mindset and I am happy to help fund future forays into VR tech!

I mostly use it for getting away with the oculus cinema app. The oculus cinema app is also the first app I show people for their first experience with it because it is the most polished app at the moment. You won't find many polished apps on here atm but you can't expect that considering it is an innovators edition. For a dev kit this is really nice. It feels and looks like a consumer product. If you have a note 4 already then this is a good deal for what you get for only $200. The experience with it really is hard to fully appreciate until you use it. Here's my youtube video of random girls using it for their first time. It really shows how immersive it is. http://youtu.be/XAe3fQRv0w0

Ok, it's a nice toy to play around. The VR feeling is great. The glass headset, after a while might give you a headache. I love it, but I don't use it that much, maybe an hour or two every other week, but hey, it's cool

VR is so much fun to have for those who love new technology. The only CON is not knowing that you will need a separate Game pad for certain games. A little blurry. Still with this being a new product it's so much fun to engulf yourself into a new Virtual World.

My video production company was commissioned to produce a 360 virtual reality video by a client to use at a trade show. After consulting with experts, we settled on the GEAR VR headset as the best player because it is portable and has the highest resolution screen so far. I had never actually seen a demonstration, so I had to buy the unit and the necessary Note 4 to use in our development of the content. Until you try it, you can't imagine how incredible the experience is. The most fun is putting it on other people and watching their reaction. This is the future and I believe it is here now only on the GEAR VR. Ok, there is the parent Oculus Rift, but that has to be connected to a computer and it's not available to the public yet.

My experience with the Gear VR has been nothing but fun. Every time I try a new game or watch a 3D movie I get a huge grin from how awesome the experience is. Sure, the resolution/clarity can be improved, but its still just so fun regardless.

So this completely surpassed my expectations. It's my first VR experience and it's impressive! It runs seemlessly...the graphics are great...and it sounds amazing with headphones. Everyone I show it to is amazed too. Definitely worth my money. I can't wait to see what they do with it next!

I was very impressed when I first used this thing. For the price, I think it is a very good deal. However, galaxy note gets heated soon (alert pops up) and this is an issue when you want to run a long media file or when playing a game.

For a first generation Samsung VR system, this unit delivers exceptional quality and experience. I just wish there's a way to power the phone so it doesn't run out of juice.

The Great VR are mind blowing at first. The small catalog is disappointing. The lens fog up and overtime becomes hot. All the problems have been addressed on recent releases. Just a few complaints overall a great experience.

If you really want to see what VR (Virtual Reality) is all about, this is the one to try / buy. The only drawback is that you must have a Samsung Note 4 or Galaxy S6 to use it.

I like how this works but when you use it for a good length of time, you do need to shut it down or it pauses , then shuts down after telling you that it will do that to prevent overheating. It is really fun though.

This is a great jump into VR, There are plenty of experiences that would make this a worth while purchase. However, most of the games and experiences overheat the Note 4. Some after 5 minutes. So you cant even really experience what they have to offer. And after a week of use, it bricked my Note 4. It is currently in repair waiting for a part they dont stock. My advice, avoid this for now. It should not have been released to the public if the phone cannot handle the load this puts on it.

If you're a fan of VR, this is the holy grail. The interface is smooth, the experience is very immersive, and the hardware feels very high quality. If I were to wish for two upgrades to the design, I would: 1. provide a USB power pass-through so that you can charge your phone while using it. 2. Allow the gear to be used with other VR apps, such as Google Cardboard. It can be done, but the method is not graceful. I particularly love a short "film" inside the VRSE app, called Catatonic. It's by far the creepiest thing I've ever witnessed; I'm a hardcore gore movie lover and this one made me squeal like a little girl. Remember though, this is an "early adopter" edition of the hardware, and as such, is fairly limited. It's going to improve as more content is created for it, and I CANNOT WAIT!!!
