The Gear VR is a great product clear and crisp great for gaming. The only set back is, it over heats and shuts off after about 30 minutes.

This product is very interesting and fun to play with. I hope that the tech and software available improve. I enjoy showing this thing to friends. The level of immersion is impressive.

I am rarely stunned by technology these days, suprise but not stunned. As an entry level product the VR headset continues to astound an stun me. I watched a movie lying on my back completely still and it was very immersive. Not quite like being there but close. Love it!

I'm an Oculus DK1 and DK2 owner. The Gear VR is fantastic! It's far more advanced than the DK1 and the screen is better than what's in DK2. The only thing I could complain about is the lack of positional tracking, but it will be added as soon as they find a solution for it. This is perfect for trips as well as showing friends and family. Watching a movie in a large theater while stuck flying on an airplane is great! And being able to just bring this headset when I visit friends makes it really easy. No lugging a computer or laptop to show them. I love it so much I will be purchasing the next one as well.

It is an awesome experience everyone should try. It is technology at its latest. It's cheap enough focus isn't perfect all the time. It heats up your phone sometimes.

I had originally given this product a 2 star rating because I could barely use it before my phone would give me the overheating message. I checked a forum site and a helpful tipster suggested placing the phone into Power Save Mode in the phone settings and this resolved my issue. That should be noted prominently in the packaging with the headset. It would help save some frustration. Overall a pretty fun experience (at least now that it works a bit longer.

I thought this virtual reality for a smartphone was just going to be a gimmick, but when I put the required Note 4 with this device I was truly speechless. The beginning demo really makes it feel as if you are at the shown destinations and people are literally feet in front of you. With the 360 degree tracking it immerses you into the experience. (Headphones are a huge plus) Besides the little demos here and there the Cinema is AMAZING! You choose the selected trailers or movie / tv show you uploaded to the included SD Card. You are in the middle of a movie theater and the screen is HUGE! You can look around and see seats, the projector, exits. Its truly awesome and jaw dropping to experience this in the comfort of your home. I would definitely recommend this product.

I tried this device out and within 5 monutes knew I had to get one. It puts you right in the passenger seat of a dunebuggie & makes a movie-watching experience feel like you are really at the theater! HIGHLY recommended!!!

These are so much fun. I watched movies from my phone as if i was in a theater. Mind blown. It felt like i was there. My only complaint is that it eats battery and you can't charge the phone and watch at the same time

I take this to get togethers. Very entertaining. It makes the phone very hot. I made a small fan for it. Needs more games.

The oculus is cool but it needs more gaming and more videos. I would've given it a 5 but they are kidve heavy on your face.

Interesting tryout to built a unusual and useful device. I found it a little bit heavy. Overall good device.

The Gear VR is wondrous however that wears off quick as soon as you witness forward motion, such as in games, the motion sickness took 3 days to wear off, had to take it back. This could be just me but other than the motion sickness it is really cool, the 360 photos are unbelievable, so is the cinema, I wish it did not make me feel ill when things start to move forward.

I got this for my wife's Note 4 to use for Galaxy VR. Galaxy VR as a concept is cool, but these first generation headsets are heavy on your head. The newest model for the S6 and S7 is a lot lighter. You can tell this thing was a prototype almost. Still worth it if you have a Note 4 though.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 you have to get one of these! It really is amazing! There is no way to describe how cool VR is unless you try it yourself, just buy it and you'll see.

I purchased Samsung Gear VR for Note 4 on May 21st 2015 and everything worked great for 2 weeks and on June 4th or 5th my VR shows empty home screen with app place holders and I can't click or open any apps. My library is empty I went to BestBuy to exchange and got a brand new device on 6/11 same issue. Tried every possible fix I found online and nothing worked. I'm a software engineer, it appears to me Oculus did some updates recently and they are not compatible with Note 4 ? I don't know. Here are my screenshots. I'm planning to return this until they fix a solution. This is an innovator edition, meaning that it is not meant to be a finished consumer product. However with the edition of the milk vr app and purchases in the USA in the oculus store, it is darn close to being ready. It provides a taste of vr and it does it better than Google cardboard, I love the experiences that are meant to be short bite size bursts of vr.

Love it for watching movies and 360 photos pretty cool, you'll feel like your in a theater

The GearVR is amazing. As the only VR by Oculus/Samsung that is ready for consumers to own and experience virtual reality, this unit is awesome and for less than $200 bucks, it is a steal. Worth buying a Note 4 just for this. In comparisson, the Google Cardboard is a ford pinto while the GearVR is a Tesla X.

Great VR experience. Super easy to set up. Even the simple little things like the Oculus Cinema and the 360 Photos apps are stunning.
