Can't beat the price for these screens!

Screen buying is a tough thing to do. There a a million types to go through, lots of comparing. I'll make this quick. I needed 2 screens for my computer, mostly because of work stuff. I didn't want to break the bank with screens that basically put out the same quality of image. I am so glad i went with 24'' screens over the 27"! There is plenty of screen real estate and i feel if i went 27" it would be way too much screen in your face. Another reason I chose these screens is that they are mountable. I have not purchased a mount yet, but soon. The image quality is good, 1080p is basically all i need, i'm no professional photographer, videophile, avid computer movie watcher, or computer gamer. The screens are super lightweight and don't take up much room on the desk. To me, they are perfect. For the price of these screens, i don't think you can get a better deal, especially that they are mountable. I am glad i made the purchase, i would recommend, and if they were stolen tomorrow, i would buy them again.

    About the complaints.....

VGA really isn't needed anymore, and the included cable is just to get rid of obsolete stuff.... Beyond that, the main complaint I saw was about tilt. I needed to replace an old monitor from Samsung that lasted well beyond the expected life expectancy, so I wanted to stick with samsung. The stand does feel cheap as heck (told inappropriate language), and seemed like no tilt. Saw it on display at another place (BB did not have it on display when I bought it), and decided, not my item, let me see what it can do.... The tilt is fine. The stand makes you paranoid to try it, but there is a hinge where the stand "plugs" in. Perfect and expected up/down tilt compared to all the monitors I've had over the last 30 years. Out of box, I thought it didn't tilt because the resistance is a bit more than expected, and the stand is flimsier than previous ones. Sharpness/brightness way too high for my liking, but easily adjusted. The monitor controller is simple to use, but a bit awkward. Think d-pad on back of monitor. Overall, really a good monitor for the money, when cost is more important than conveniences (as is usually the case for myself)

    Excellent Monitor But Misleading

The display on the monitor is excellent and the size is perfect. If you're not mounting it with a VESA mount, you will have no issues. The problem is that although the monitor states that it can be mounted and has holes for the mount, it cannot be mounted. The piece the stand inserts into cannot be removed and does not allow a mount to reach the back holes. In addition, you would have the stand insert visible under the bottom of the screen after mounting it. The internet tells me that I could take the back panel off and remove this, but why would I want to do that? Samsung, if you want it to be mountable, make it mountable. Don't make me void my warranty just to mount it. So, I returned it and went with an ASUS monitor that has no obstructions to the mounting holes.

    Really annoying monitor stand hinge

I bought this monitor for 1 reason - to mount to a dual monitor display. The entire point was to mount it. I did research and other answers on here said that you can mount it. If you have some super weird mount, it might just work. But I have a standard mount size (2 different sizes optional) but it won't work. There is a stupid "stand hinge" in the way that CAN NOT BE REMOVED. Who at Samsung drew this design and thought "this is a great idea!" ?! I did look it up, and if you want to take the entire back panel off (which is not simply unscrewing the back and the article even mentions to be careful not to break it) THEN you can try and remove the hinge. Otherwise, 99% of mounts will not work. To be clear, I did not try and use the monitor. If you don't need to mount it, then disregard this review. It may work beautifully if you don't need to mount it. Mounting was my primary reason for getting a new monitor.

Good graphics, not so great stand

Graphics are ok but I don't demand much. The tilt feature of the stand had me wondering what would break if I kept trying to tilt it back. It does tilt back enough once you free it from it's basic straight up setting it ships with from the box. What I don't like, is the stand allows the monitor to lean off center. Imagine the top of the monitor not being perfectly horizontal to your eyes. It does tend to stay where you put it, until you bump the table getting up. If you don't mind improving the neck of the stand, and maybe shimming under the base to the table with business cards to level it, this monitor is a great price for a very good monitor, less the stand.

My son is intensly involved in gaming and wanted a replacement monitor that had better graphics than the one he was using. He picked it out, paid for it with his own money, and refused to go anywhere else or wait to order online, we went directly to Best Buy and picked it up and off we went so he could hook it up and played all night, he told me that this was just a great monitor and it was worth every penny he spent which by the way was really not a lot for the quality and size, it was exactly what he wanted and was not leaving the store without it

    Good Picture, but not Adjustable

I was looking for a quick pick-up monitor for my desktop and went into the Cary store. I'm not a tech person at all and the sales rep was very helpful and patient. But, he told me this was an IPC monitor and its a LCD. Also, the monitor itself, although having a great picture and color has a non-adjustable stand so the height can't be adjusted on my desk and I find myself raising my head and getting a sore neck after a short time. I would recommend this product but with a caution that the stand in not adjustable. And the sales rep should mention these drawbacks to the prospective buyer as well.

Bought this by accident but here are my thoughts

The monitor is very clear, crisp, and true-to-color, but the stand is incredibly wobbly, flimsy-feeling, and unstable. In addition, the monitor angle cannot be changed. On the bright side, it can be wall-mounted (since it doesn't come with speakers anyways) and it has a nice thin bevel around the screen with a pretty glossy, black finish. The power button is hard to find on the back and the same button is used as the directional arrows. On more than one occasion I've accidentally turned the screen off trying to change brightness or other settings. There are also plenty of other monitors from the same or other brands that offer the same specs/features or better in this price range, meaning you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

    Good Secondary Monitor

I bought this as a secondary monitor to be able to use for school. It wasn't very expensive and does its job well for schooling purposes. I wouldn't recommend as a main display unless you are looking for a relatively small monitor. For gamers, this is better than using a small tv, but I'd typically suggest looking at a 4K monitor and at least a few inches bigger at this stage of the technology development cycle. That being said, this will work for gaming if you do not see yourself needing 4K or a big screen. Colors and overall display quality is up to par. I'd recommend this as a budget screen if it fits your use case like it did mine.

If you mount it you lose the VGA port

I purchased 2 of these monitors specifically because they were mountable. I purchased a Planar monitor stand. First, you need to remove the entire plastic back off of the monitor in order to take off the piece at the bottom that mounts the normal monitor stand that comes in the box. Once you've disassembled the monitor, and you've removed the extra nub on the bottom, the Planar stand become possible to mount. However, the spacing of the mount made the monitor such that the VGA port became covered by the mount. Ultimately I had to force the VGA cable into the spot with the right screw on the cable unable to screw in.

    Exellent for office work

I have 2 of these displays in my home office. They are excellent displays for normal office work, including web and app design, even compared to more expensive ones. I chose them for their space saving design. They are light, slim, and use very little desk real state. The only two caveats I found: they have an external power supply that makes cable management a little bit harder, and the thingy where the desk stand fits is affixed to the monitor and protrudes, and this may interfere with some VESA mounts.

    Great second monitor

Great little monitor. I needed a second monitor to work from home and didn't want to spend a lot of money. Picked it up on sale and am very happy with it. Couldn't have been easier to set up. The only knock I have is that you can't adjust the height or viewing angle. But then again I didn't pay that much for it. Luckily the set viewing angle is just fine for an average height desk. I should have bought two as my older much more expensive monitor looks a bit washed out. The colors on this one are vibrant no dead pixels or bleed.

It's pretty much a widely-accepted opinion in the display market that Samsung makes some of the best displays you can buy. This monitor definitely lives up to that reputation. I don't care about 2K/4K monitors, I just need a nice 1080p display and bought this as a replacement for my Asus monitor I had been using. The colors are fantastic and it features MagicBright tech that enhances the viewing experience for things like watching content or gaming. I highly suggest you give this display a look if you're in the market for a new one.

I bought this monitor because I needed something bigger than my old one. The size is perfect for the eyes, so it's comfortable. The Colors on the monitor looks way better than my last monitor; bright colors and dark blacks and doesn't have that weird foggy coating over the screen. I noticed the game mode preset makes the games look better. The only downside is the power button location.

I got this monitor for mostly coding. The stand takes up a lot more space than my last monitor that was just 2 inches smaller. The power button joystick thing is located in the back which is kind of annoying to get to. Screen is very bright and vivid if you like that (I usually keep it around 45 out of 100). What I like is that you can shut off the blue indicator light when the monitor is off in the settings.

Good Monitor for Dual Screens on a Budget

I purchased 2 of these to go along with my new tower. The single button on the back to change settings is a bit of a pain, but once your settings are in place- it's done. It has dual inputs, so you have flexibility. It's 1080p, so it's fine for video playback- but it's definitely not for hardcore gamers. For productivity from your desktop- it fits the bill and it was on sale for $119.

I purchased these to enhance my graphic design workspace and for worj in general. I love the quality and functionality. These was such a great product I bought an additional to provide me 3 monitors of workspace. Works with HDMI and VGA. Works great when I connect my work Dell laptop to the monitors to give me 4 monitors. No worries with this monitor at all!!!

the on-off button is a pain. I was already to return it, then I figured out the button. What seems like a off-on button actually does different things whether you hit the button on the up or down or right or left. hitting the button in the middle will turn the screen on, but down may turn it off. Sorta crazy how it operates. This makes the button , which is on the back a real pain.

I actually loved this monitor, it's a great monitor, the only problem with it was that you cannot adjust the angle of the monitor, you just get 1 angle (you cannot make it more inclined or declined) which unfortunately was a deal breaker for me and I had to return it, I instead got the Samsung S24D590L from Amazon which I liked even more, on this one you can adjust the angle.

There's not much to say about this monitor except it does what it's supposed to. No lags, good color, etc. I'm not a gamer or a graphic designer so I can't speak to whether it's adequate for those functions but if you need a relatively inexpensive monitor that doesn't disappoint, this might be the monitor for you.
