Surprisingly easy to install. Not the greatest app, but it does the job.

Overall a good upgrade from v1 but a pain to setup

I have been a SmartThings user from the pre-Samsung days. I have a lot of devices and automations. Upgrading to V2 was very frustrating, and the most ridiculous process. You basically start over, but worse, since you have to properly unpair everything from the v1 hub first. In the end it works well, you just have to suffer through to get there. Literally, the dumbest upgrade process I have ever encountered. If this is your first hub, you’ll be fine.

Paired this with a google home and was able to get a number of items integrated. Sometimes the Samsung app disconnects from my Honeywell app, but I think some recent updates fixed that. Now there's native support in the google home app with Honeywell TCC so you don't need this anymore. I got a few of the SmartThings devices and they paid seamlessly with the hub. So far, so good!

I've had X-10 home control in my home since 1985 (20 devices) but decided it is time to upgrade. My 33 year old controller was showing its age. I bought the Samsung Hub and one module to see how SmartThings work and was quite impressed. In less than a month I have 13 devices of four types, with more on my way. I'm impressed with ZigBee and Z-WAVE Works as advertised.

Does everything I need and more. Once I got the CoRE code installed and setup, I am now able to control my traditional burglar alarm via an Arduino relay setup which is something I never dreamed I would be able to do. Being able to do that in itself has saved me a ton of $ in not having to immediately upgrade my entire (older) security system and replacing nearly 40 sensors.

This is a great hub for smart homes to bridge the different technologies together. Only downside is no native support for Logitech Harmony.

I am in a wheelchair, and my 20 year old remote control deadbolt lock had died. I decided to get one that could be controlled by my smart phone. A hub is required, so I got this Smart Things hub. I'm very pleased with how easy it was to set up and add things to it. I got smart light bulbs, and there are many other things I can add at a later date. Very pleased!

When I first bought the hub, it randomly went offline several hours throughout the day during the first few days. The device updated itself (which took several hours) and remained offline during that process. I was just about to toss it back into the box and return it but it's been completely solid for the last few weeks after the last update.

I tried a few hubs all at the same time along with the Samsung SmartThings hub, this hub won hands down for me, it worked with more of the Z-WAVE and ZigBee accessories I already owned. The SmartThings App is great also. The only thing I didn't like was that it doesn't work with the Nest products, but you can link them by using IFTTT and Stringify.

I am interested in IoT and have been watching the products evolve over time. Samsung appears to provide the greatest interoperability so I bit the bullet and bought the hub. I also purchase the senor I could use to notify me of the status and events to my garage door opener. Everything works well, no complaints and was simple to implement. What more could I ask?
