    Maybe not the monitor you want

    It's a great deal on a 4K monitor- but you'll have to live with the color being too blue and it is hard to correct no matter how long you work on it. We returned ours and bought a different brand. Your needs may vary; for design and photography, this one didn't fit ours.

    Be prepared for your eyes to hurt from looking at this monitor if you are using it with your desktop computer. This size was a bit much for me so I decided to return it for a smaller monitor. Would make an excellent screen for a blu-ray player, not so much for a computer.

    I purchased this monitor to pair with my Xbox one s. I'm having a problem when I change the display settings to 4K. The screen starts flickering every few seconds. I'm probably going to exchange it for another one and see if it happens again. My other 4K tv doesn't flicker when the Xbox one s is connected so it has to be the monitor having the issue. Come on Samsung! Your quality control has been absolutely terribly lately.

    Great resolution

    Good resolution. 4k. But sadly it only has 1 hdmi port that supports 4k, and the other one doesn't. Also folks, THIS MONITOR DOESN'T SUPPORT HDCP 2.2. If you wanna watch YouTube or Netflix in 4k resolution, THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT.

    Constantly flashes

    This monitor constantly flashes till you unplug and plug the display port cord. I originally thought it was the graphics card but, it's not. It's the monitor causing the problem.

    Should Have Bought An LG

    Purchased the unit in April 2018. Replacing In November 2020 due to problems with the menu system. Will consider another brand in future. The support from Samsung was subpar.

    Excellet display for 4K gaming

    I recently moved over to PC gaming from console as most of my work friends only play on PC. After purchasing an HP Omen (GTX 1070, i7 7700, etc...) I decided to see if I could pull off 4K gaming without breaking the bank or suffering from horrible lag and terrible image quality. To that, I am very impressed with this monitors gaming image quality. For gaming, I haven't really had any issues I was expecting (lag, pixelation, slow response, etc..). I'm playing BF4 & Diablo III, each on ULTRA 4K resolutions and per both the NVIDIA & Razer FPS counters, I'm pulling well over 60FPS in each comfortably, at times 80/90+FPS and this monitor isn't lagging behind in any way. Absolutely impressed with this for gaming, as the colors and definition pop like my 2560x1440 iMac display, but with even more clarity. So if you are thinking about this display for gaming, MAKE SURE YOU USE DISPLAY PORT if you want the best 4K signal you can get, NOT HDMI. Luckily this display has Display Port & 2 HDMI, so you are set to also plug up consoles or other HDMI devices. NOTE; There are NO built in speakers on this monitor. So, for the somewhat 'meh' about this monitor. It feels cheap. Not like you're going to destroy it cheap, but it weighs nothing. Also, the stand doesn't swivel, so you have to move the whole base. Not a deal breaker, but the other 'gaming' monitors I looked at all had a swivel base. Lastly, when viewing normal PC stuff (photos on google, spreadsheets/docs w/ images, news articles, etc...) the colors don't look accurate. I know you can fine-tune the calibration, but outside of gaming (where I like extra punch) the colors simply can't touch the calibration accuracy of my iMac, but really, Apple has color calibration nailed on every device they make. Other than that, it's all good. Overall, I'm still looking at a 4K TV to wall mount above my desk, while keeping this display. I'd like to view YouTube, lower FPS games, NES Classic, etc..on a larger screen in my office, but still have this display for main PC use. I know the 4K FPS experience will suffer using a TV vs this monitor, but the trade off is a larger screen, built in speakers if i don't want to wear a headset and the ability to launch smart streaming services without having to use the PC. This seems to be a hot-topic with PC's easily pushing 4K & 8K now, but the displays we can use each have their on benefits & trade-offs. If you want a solid 4K display that doesn't break the bank, catch this one on sale. I got an open box for under $250 and I believe that is a good price for this. $300+ seems high, but not terrible. There are tons of other GREAT UHD/QHD displays out above $300 that will destroy this with 1ms response and 144hz refresh with higher quality parts.

    Samsung 28" monitor

    Purchased two to pair with a laptop for home office. I wouldn't want any larger for my setup. Great picture, easy to setup etc. The two things I dislike. 1) The picture is great but only from a certain viewing angle, you will need to reposition as you move around to maintain optimal view. 2) The monitor mounts are at the very top of the monitor. I had a dual monitor arm setup and had to mount the monitors upside down in order to give them more than a couple inches of motion and allow the laptop to sit in front of the monitors without blocking the view. This wouldn't be a big issue except the usb hub I'm using will only rotate one of the monitors.

    Poor screen, very dark and low quality. Hard to say that it’s 4K. Instead of it bought at BestBuy LG UL600 4K and I am quite satisfied.

    the delusion that what was on my screen would simply be larger. No so. had it for weeks, and am still trying to get it set up so that type from all programs is readable. Pain in the rear! I wish I had never bought this monitor and if I can return and exchange it, please tell me how. Further, my PC is a Dell, and even though I have installed the Samsung driver, I still get pop-ups from Dell asking me to install an approved monitor. This one is a huge disappointment.

    Terrible - signal issues

    I am using the monitor as an extended desktop screen for a Windows 10 laptop for work. If my laptop goes to sleep, it's a massive gamble if the screen will come back on. I've used the display port, HDMI, tested with my Mac desktop and I have consistent issues with the screen going black temporarily or not coming on at all.

    Bought to replace to a LG Monitor that fell and broke. I didn't review any before hand as I needed a quick replacement but now I'm regretting it. I would not buy again for photo editing.

    It is a good monitor for sharp computer work, but videos and pictures are dark and contrast does not approach the advertised 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. I am seriously disappointed.

    Pure Garbage! The screen is faded, not clear

    I had multiple issues! First the screen is faded, making it difficult to read (even after changing picture settings). The base wouldn't fully screw on, so the screw was sticking out causing it to wobble. Lastly, although my computer was in sleep mode, the monitor would keep checking for a signal, causing the monitor to flicker. So i had to unplug the monitor every night. I'm returning and purchased the LG 27" 4k. Much better!

    Amazing 4k monitor/TV

    I originally bought the Dell UP2414Q 4K monitor which retails at ~$1200. This monitor blows it out of the water and is half the price! The response time is 1ms which makes it perfect for gaming. I bought a EVGA GTX 980 to go along with it and I can run games at high (not ultra) settings at a very smooth FPS. The only con I have noticed with this monitor is that you cannot tilt it up/down/left/right. I needed to tilt it down a little bit, so I just stuck a game case under the stand and it works out for me. If you are debating about buying it, or if you are on the fence, don't be! It is worth every penny!

    Unfortunately this did not work out. Went with an LG monitor instead. It had terrible light bleed and would make a loud humming noise.
