Customers are saying
Customers admire the UE590 Series 28" LED 4K UHD Monitor's picture quality, 4K resolution, and vibrant colors. Many also praise its affordability and ease of setup, along with its fast response time, making it ideal for various uses. However, some find the stand somewhat lacking in sturdiness and adjustability. The absence of built-in speakers and less-than-ideal viewing angles are also frequently cited as drawbacks.

Frustrating with new MacBook Pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trying to use this monitor with a brand new MacBook Pro (also purchased from Bestbuy in Nov 2018 - Radeon Pro 555X 4096 MB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB) running High Sierra. It never, ever, connects smoothly. The routine is typically waking the MacBook up from sleep and going through a 5 - 20 minute exercise of unplugging/plugging the USB-C cable and powering on and off the monitor. Eventually, if the ambient temperature, dew point, and stars, are all aligned, it works. I tried two different USB-C to HDMI cables with identical results. This is not sustainable, and thus, I've decided to return the monitor after 4 days of nonsense. On a positive note, when the monitor is finally connected, it looks good with vibrant color. Also, when the monitor is connected to my 1st generation Surface Pro, it behaves properly and connects right away.

YEP, does everything I love...you will too!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased one about a year ago and it worked as described as listed flawlessly. It can handle either HDMI or DisplayPort inputs or both featuring PIP . Fantastic refresh timing and full resolution! I just purchase two more, another one for me, and one for my daughter (scientist). You will not be disappointed with this Samsung monitor...

Great for games
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought a new computer with NVIDIA 1080 video card and need a 4k monitor to get the most of it. Although this monitor has Freesync to work with AMD video card it handles Fallout 4 no problem, looks awesome. I'm not impressed with the colors and text sharpness though with regular applications. If you got a high end graphics card it makes a good gaming monitor. I got it on sale an happy enough with it.

Great Gaming and Overall Monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor has great out of the box contrast. In addition to this, the brightness is perfect and UHD is very much an upgrade to the 24" 1080p monitor. With regards to gaming, 1ms response plus FreeSync is absolutely thrilling and nearly flawless. Note: Windows 10 - BattleField 1 with XFX Radeon RX480 8GB running on an M170-AR Core i5 16GB DDR4 @3000 Mhz still seems to slightly tear, but nothing that's overly noticeable or consistent.

Worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Features: Color, sharpness, and viewing angles are impressive. High resolution photos look great, much better than 1080. In side-by-side comparison with a more expensive IPS monitor, the more expensive monitor usually wins, but not always. In some cases, the Samsung colors look more natural. Very light weight, about 10 pounds without stand. Worst Features: The VESA mount is poorly positioned at the very top edge of an already tall monitor. (See photo) Portrait mode isn't stable because the VESA mount is so far off center. Unless you have a very tall monitor arm, you'll won't have much vertical range. I worked around this problem by adding extra pieces ($30 each) that give 4" of additional height. Quality Issue: No dead pixels, but one of the two monitors I received cannot display UHD at 60hz as advertised. It took me a frustrating hour to figure this out, staring at a black screen. After lowering my graphics card output to 59Hz, it works fine. I never use the "Eye Saver" mode, which ruins color and contrast. Even with shortcomings, I enjoy these monitors.

Good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You have to realize if you guys are running anything HDMI into the monitor it will not run at 60hz, but displayport will run 60hz. It has HDMI 1.4 not 2.0, so it runs at 30hz. Looks great other than not what I expected for gaming refresh rate.

Very good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright so when I got it I was mad because hdmi 1 would only do 4K at 30hz. And I’m using an x box one x but after getting super mad I found out to use hdmi 2 to get the 4K at 60hz. So don’t be like me just put the hdmi in the 2nd input.

Love this monitor - video review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hey everyone! I purchased this UHD monitor on, "black friday," and I'm kicking myself for not buying two. Any way, this is a fantastic upgrade and I strongly recomend the 28" model. I've posted a video review (URL below). I hope it helps. https://youtu.be/noTmcGn7ZDE?list=PLgW9pN6A0EVMAo1quZH0KLGgucHJPh54i

Great 4K monitor for a reasonable price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally purchased one on Black Friday and was so impressed that I purchased an additional five. Works well in a 3 monitor setup. However, if you are running all of them in 4K, you will need to make sure your video card is up to the task. I would recommend at last a GTX 1070 or preferably a GTX 1080.

Nice color, semi fake 4k, annoying electric whine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screens color and brightness are great. However 4k over HDMI suffers from only being able to run at a refresh rate of 30 HZ (beware PC gamers). Ive got 2 of these monitors and they both produce a feint, high pitched electrical noise. If you find yourself sitting at your computer late at night, in a quiet house, its not something you can really miss. Being that ive got my speakers going for most things I do, 90% of the time it goes unnoticed. That other 10% however, can be quite annoying. From what ive researched, its not a flaw with the hardware, but rather just a sign of the times of the technology that went into these monitors. Something to do with the coils and the scan rate, and them producing a high frequency sound that was unavoidable. My advice, if you arent desperate for 4k on your computer, go with a non-4k screen of the same size, and avoid the problem.

Bad colors, returning it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is an ok monitor, but WAY overpriced for what it offers. 1) one of the HDMIs inputs runs at 30 Hz - had to google that 2) text is fuzzy, had to play with resolution and text size on WIN 8 to make it readable 3) the worst part is: the brightness and color contrast! It has been a week and I still can't configure it to show colors correctly, it is either too bright or too dark, but I can't get a norman grey colors. It is painful to work on this screen for several hour a day, and if you got lots of applications with white background, you will go home with massive headache. It is ok for gaming, but for this kind of money I would expect something much better. I'm going to call support and see if they would help me to calibrate it, but if not, it is going back to the store.

Not worth the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe my expectations were a little too high, but I thought for $600 I would be thoroughly impressed. But sadly I am not. I had high hopes for 4K gaming on a PC with a great graphics card, but it is not a justifiable difference for me. I wish it had a higher refresh rate also. Yes, things are incredibly crisp but not like they are on a 65" 4K TV @ 120Hz. To me, it just looks like a small upgrade from my HP 27vx (CHEAP), and for $600, I would much rather invest in a nice 1440p 144Hz gaming monitor. Also, colors are extremely washed out in my opinion. The color reproduction and accuracy is actually better on my cheap HP 27VX..... which costed only $140 on Black Friday, lol! Maybe in another 5 years I'll try 4K PC gaming when the technology and quality is there, but right now, it's not. Back to Best Buy I go!

Great gaming monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE most important thing to know about this monitor is you must never use the audio connector on the back for headphones or speakers. It will cause you to lose about 15FPS. It does say this in the manual. But boy is it understated. For the price this is exceptional. I do recommend it.

Very bright no glare screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent monitor that is fairly easy on the eyes. For me it is best at photo editing. It seems a bit bright for office documents, but is acceptable. There are adjustments that can be made, depending on what you use it for. Would have liked more connection possibilities and rotation.

poor product for money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only nice thing is the picture itself. Everything is cheap feeling/looking. Stand is flimsy allowing the entire screen to wobble. I was a huge Samsung fan till this. Returned it for the LG - 27UK600-W 27" IPS LED 4K UHD. So happy I did. The difference in quality is amazing. Returned
