This is a great monitor, it's really smooth but it does not support (HDR) Nor does it have audio, may be tricky to set up 4k on PS4 pro but it works.

I purchased this Samsung Monitor on 7/25/17, to connect to my newer MacBook Pro laptop. (OS 10.12.6 Sierra). I am an amateur photographer, and thought the increased pixel density and screen size would help with postprocessing images. I brought it home, unboxed, set it up as instructed, connected USB-C (Thunderbolt) to Display Port cable, and "desktop" screen image appeared on the monitor. Dispite trying all combinations of settings (display, mirroring, resolution, display port, source, etc) I was unable to get the monitor to dispaly what was on my Apple screen.....it only displayed the original desktop image. Tried replugging into each of the 4 Thunderbolt ports...tried using another USB-C to Displayport cable....tried using the HDMI cable/port....nothing changed the image (or lack of image on the screen). Consulted websites for remedies....spent perhaps 4 hours over two days, trying every possible combination of settings and cables....gave up....taking the monitor back today. Also noticed that the monitor would power on (screen lit up), randomly, intermittently (on and off perhaps every 20 seconds), even with the computer cable NOT connected to the monitor. I think this was not one of Samsung's best efforts.

I threw the hardest punch i could but messed it up and ended breaking my small metacarpal bone in half and not even denting it or ruining any pixels.

I've bought this monitor as a replacement for my old LG monitor. Colors are magnificent. A menu has plenty of options for adjustments on your taste.

The short of it: Save your money. Buy another monitor if you have a Mac and plan to use OS Catalina. The long of it: I owned this monitor for 11 months before I upgraded to OS Catalina last night. Worked fine but had some glitchy pixelation every now and then. Not great for gaming. Good for most other uses. This morning, after the upgrade, the monitor would not display a signal from my Mac. A trip to the Samsung web site to locate new drivers shows that they haven't bothered to update the drivers (version 1.00) since 2015. Downloaded the old software and drivers, just in case something went wonky during the upgrade and Unarchiver could not extracts Samsung's files. A call to a Samsung tech would not confirm whether they have plans to update the drivers. And the tech would not say whether there were updated drivers for Mac.

Best bang for the buck in terms of 4k Screens. I cant use any other monitor because of it.

Great monitor just wish it was HDCP 2.2 other than that is has a displayport and a hdmi 2.0 and a hdmi

I was looking for a nice quality monitor for gaming and this fits the bill. Nice quality graphics.

You can only get true 4K@60hz through the display port connection. The HDMI connections will do 4K, but only at 30hz which is pretty pointless. So if you're using this with a pc that has display port and a good GPU, you'll be fine. But if you're using it with a gaming console, you are stuck @1080p. That's the fine print in a nutshell. Hope this was helpful.

Once again Samsung did a great job. I love their products and this monitor as well.

I love the way this display looks. But upon arrival it came damaged. There's 2 areas on the screen that when it's displaying anything in the black/darker colors it displays a blue/purple shadow instead. There's also a line of around 4-6 pixels that keep going blank after a couple minutes of use. I am trying to return the Item and receive a replacement but unfortunately the item is no longer available. I would recommend this to any friend in a heartbeat but just wish they don't receive a damaged one like I did.

Recently purchased this for my PS4 and for programming. Compared to my brother's $200 monitor, his colors are way more vibrant and more crisp. This is a TN display, which is why it's so cheap. For everything else it's not very noticeable, but for gaming, I recommend looking at something else.

This is a great monitor for gaming, especially for World of Warcraft.

The Monitor is great from my 3ms 22-inch Gateway. But the Input Specifications of, "DisplayPort 1.2 : 60Hz HDMI 1.4 : 30Hz" - IS HORRIBLE! Why is this Monitor not running at HDMI 2.0?? Only draw back about this monitor. Other than that... not a true 4K Resolution if it's 3840 x 2160 Price is horrible for these 2 major draw backs.

Wow, this monitor is over hyped! Upon receiving it, of course I immediately hooked it up. Super excited to finally start gaming in 4K. What?.....oh, I just need to adjust the color. No Bueno, it didn't help no matter what combination of settings I picked; believe me, I tried them all. The blacks are grey, motion blur made my eyes hurt, colors are whitewashed; and with the resolution set to 3840 x 2160, everything is so tiny. I had to set a custom resolution to make it somewhat usable. This monitor is not for games or movies if you care about the little things like vivid colors, and sharp images. If you do buy it, at least you can say, "I have a 4k monitor". I'm returning this and going back to my reliable Asus VG248QE. This 1080p monitor leaves the Samsung in the dust!!!!
