Many also praise its affordability and ease of setup, along with its fast response time, making it ideal for various uses. Images are unbelievably sharp. Response is quick and adjustments allow setting the display to what is most comfortable for you. I play various video games that are quite demanding and the display refreshes quickly and performs well. Also watch movies with great presentation. This is a great display.

I bought this to pair with my PS4 Pro and I am not disappointed! It performs as advertised and the 1 ms response time has saved my butt in FPS games on multiple occasions. I do have a couple of small complaints about the monitor, but they are more limitation in the platform that with the monitor itself. First off, the viewing angle is horrid, but I'm the only one playing games so sitting within the range isn't that difficult, just annoying. The monitor doesn't come with the latest HDCP standard, which is required in order to stream 4K from Netflix/Hulu, again a slight annoyance for me but I normally stream on my 55" in 1080p anyway. Lastly, it isn't equipped with HDR, which is a total bummer. This hurts the most, as games tend to have better colors with this feature, but I can't blame the monitor because this is just a feature missing from 4K monitors period.

I love this monitor it is crystal clear .. A bit overpriced. When TV's are getting cheaper and cheaper, I feel this should have been priced at $300-$350. Also, I cant believe Samsung did not add speakers to this monitor.. Really, samsung, no speakers? Charge a premium price and not even put some decent speakers in it.. Even my old HD hp monitor has speakers built in that are good... I was angry when I discovered it had no speakers..

I picked this up on a Black Friday sale, so for the value it was a great deal to get an early 4K monitor. The monitor is beautiful, preforms flawless. No pixel issue so far. Multiple input options, but be sure to note what input you are using for higher refresh rates. For this resolution level, pretty much expect to use Display Port cables and connectors. Should also be matched up with a better video card. Also, this monitor works better with AMD cards (as I didn't check until after purchase) as it uses AMD's open standard sync version and not Nvidia. (And for the first time in years I chose a Nvidia 980 card on sale for this build...oops.) Most of the issues that I've had are more related to Windows. Luckily this purchase was part of a new build/upgrade, so went to Windows 10, which handles screen sizing and ultra high resolutions much better. Still takes time getting use to windows changing sizes as I move from screen to screen. Another screen that I've recently found interesting is the UpStar 4K that goes on promo code at Frys for a very decent deal for this class of monitor. I've been surprised at some of the good reviews of this off-brand monitor. Even at my black Friday sale price, it is still less than my Samsung. However, I still recommend the Samsung, especially if you have a AMD video card.

I am reviewing the UE590 with the price in mind. There are better monitors available but at 2x or more cost. For around $300 price range, it is one of the best monitors I have seen. The picture is bright and sharp across 28” with no dead pixels and color accuracy is very good. If you have a need for it, it is also capable of Picture In Picture which I do use (have a PC and a Mac connected and when activated, each half of the screen displays output from the two computers). It can accept 2 x HDMI and one DVI connection which should cover all new graphics cards. It also has an eye saver setting but when activated, the color shift is too much and the screen too dim. The screen can be tilted but not adjusted for height. The only minor complaint I have is the single power/menu button which requires multiple press to get to the menu.

I bought this to use as a second monitor to use with my 27' iMac. The display is super crisp and bright. and is very configurable. Great picture quality for use with Photoshop. My only complaint is with where the controls are. It's on the back, right corner of the display and it's a joy stick style control. I would have preferred having the controls along the side of the monitor where I can see them.

So for being able to do 4K the prices great. The problem I have is when I have a hook to my PC I'm able to do 4K gaming which is phenomenal. But I also bought it to hook my Xbox One S to it also and that will not do 4K video for some reason it will only go up to 2K. When I try to play a movie on the Xbox One S is says the monitor is not capable of playing 4K at 60 hertz so I'm not sure why it does that but it will not play the movies at 4K play some 2K which still looks a lot better but it's definitely not 4K being the reason I bought it to begin with. But like I said when it's hooked to my PC that does 4K awesome. My only other option is to spend like $900 or more to get something that will do 4K for both the PC and the Xbox One S. So I think I'll be sticking to 2K for now until I hit the lottery LOL. Picture quality is phenomenal easy to set up. Very pleased with it other than the fact that I can't do 4K with the Xbox One S

I run my 2017 MacBook Pro through this on a daily basis and it looks phenomenal. I really do love it. I'm a web designer/dev and designing is amazing. Writing code is a little less appealing because there's a little too much to screen look at all at once. I typically keep my editor centered at about 50% of the width of the screen though and it works fine. I definitely recommend this over anything else in the price point. I haven't used the 5k LG thunderbolt displays that Apple is currently selling but I imagine you'll be getting diminishing returns if you shell out the extra $600 for one of those. I would definitely buy this again. Honestly, I might get a second one for running multiple screens with Pro Tools. Note: I was using a 2012 MacBook Pro with a subpar graphics card and was disappointed in this monitor at first, not realizing what was causing the lack of performance. A few months later I upgraded to a MB Pro with a Radeon card and the 4k really shines now. It looks absolutely incredible. So what you put into this monitor is what you'll get out of it. Bad quality in, bad quality out. Great quality in, incredible quality out!

This monitor has all the features one would expect for at least twice the price. Very clear and bright picture quality at astounding resolutions ... the media now needs to catch up to the quality of this monitor. One small issue is that all the adjustments are made via a small joy stick type switch but with a little patience, this can be mastered in no time. Buy it!

Excellent screen for those looking to enhance their viewing experience. I had heard about the 4K screens and had done a bit of homework to see what all the talk was about. I take landscape and close-up photography and finally a screen worthy of the high megapixel full-frame camera I use. I have actually gone back to historical photos I had taken just to see them on the new screen. I've noticed detail and subtleties I had never seen when initially processing them. I finally have a screen that gives me the "being there" feeling a landscape photographer works hard to achieve. I have had several Samsung monitors in the past and have never had an issue with them.

Good monitor. Gets awesome colors and picture. Only bad thing is that you have to 4k material to get 4k quality. Movies look about the same since they are 1080p. The view angles are awful but it's a computer monitor so you should be sitting in front of it. If you mean back you might need to adjust monitor tilt but the picture and realestate are worth the little trouble. Running: Dell XPS 16ram 2gb dedicated gc i7 7th gen

This monitor colors are great! I purchase this monitor for gaming only, 4k resolutions are great and 60Hz is really good for monitor, I have been able to OC the refresh rate to 85Hz with no tearing. I'm running this Samsung monitor with MSI 1080 Gaming video card with no issues. For gaming with 1MS timing its a must buy! Side note: If you want to hang this monitor like I did you will have to purchase an additional VESA bracket from amazon.com. I will wouldn't take any stars from this review because of the extra cost!

    Flawless upscaling

I have been resisting moving from CRT based technology to flat screen technology for my computer display for years. One of my old CRT's was recently on its last legs so I decided to take the plunge. On my Mac Pro, I had a pair of 21" CRT displays, so I wanted something with a lot of screen real estate. I bought a 24" LED display with full HD (1920x1080) resolution. As soon as it was hooked up and configured, via HDMI, I was disappointed with the resolution. On this large screen, it was easy to see the individual pixels and everything looked too 'grainy.' Since I do a lot of photographic work, this was unacceptable. So I returned it and purchased this Samsung 28" UD590 4K (3840x2160) monitor, based on my satisfaction with my 4K television. In my opinion, the best feature is the very clean upscaling to 4K resolution that the monitor does. My older Mac Pro video card does not have the capability to drive to more than 1920x1080 (full HD) resolution. The upscaling from full HD to 4K in the monitor takes full advantage of the native panel resolution. The pixellation is gone and everything looks great, especially photos. I use a Belkin Mini Display Port to HDMI adaptor (reviewed elsewhere). Total satisfaction here and my angst over moving to flat screen monitors is alleviated! So don't fret if your system can not natively support 4K resolution - let this monitor do the heavy lifting... Just first ensure that your video sub-system can support wide screen (16x9) formats.

I use this on a Ryzen box with an RX-580 card. The 4K is just surreal. Yes, am editing 4K video on it and am really impressed with how it looks. I love the full width (16:9 or better) as I can multiple windows open at a large size. Makes for a lot of fun while editing. Colors are very good. Contrst is a bit soft, but is adjustable. Very nice monitor. Like it just fine.

I bought this monitor for my wife for her use in graphics creation. Its resolution and image quality are fantastic. I use it to view my pictures in high detail. It was very easy to switch out the old monitor and install this one. Best Buy service was great in providing information for comparison of different monitors.
