I bought my Samsung - UE590 Series 28" LED 4K UHD Monitor over a year ago. The crispness and acuity of its 4K picture is better than all of the others. It is still performing as well today as the day I took it out of the box. Highly recommended. You will not regret it.

The Samsung UD590 28" 4K UDH computer monitor is terrific and a good value. One particularly appreciated feature is the stand which tilts, unlike the fixed stands on most smaller monitors today. A welcomed addition to my home office.

I really love this monitor, it has a great picture and all the features you could need without spending a thousand dollars on a monitor. This is my first 4K monitor and I am very impressed. It has a lot of brightness, I generally keep mine around 50% and still think it may be too bright at times. Some reviews I seen said the base is wobbly, I really disagree, I have a habit of leaning back in my chair and knocking my foot against my desk and I type like I am trying to put my fingers through the keyboard and my monitor never wobbles on my wobbly old desk.

I am very happy with the performance of this monitor! The clarity and brightness are unbelievable. My only complaint with this monitor is that there is no provision for a VESA mount. Other than that I highly recommend this Samsung UD590 monitor.

Definitely one of the best 4k monitors for the price. Works GREAT on my Mac, however, it was a pain to configure Windows 10 with it. I tried with a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro and the max resolution was 2560 x 1900. With my mac I only had to plug it and voila! my recommendation is, use it only with a laptop/pc that can handle the native resolution for this monitor, otherwise you'll have a bad time. With a Macbook Pro will work right away like a charm.

You will need a high end graphics card to power this monitor for gaming. This will make every game you play look much sharper and more vibrant. UHD content is going to be more common soon and this is a great way to ride the 4k revolution wave. Depending on the game I can run 2160p at medium to ultra settings. I use a Geforce GTX 970 and would recommend that you have at least a 960 to run most modern games above 1080p. It's also nice for editing and production software as the greatly enhanced screen real estate makes for much easier program navigation.

I would like to give this monitor 4.5 stars, since that's not possible, I rounded down. The monitor is absolutely great, but there are two related issues that prevent a five star rating. First, the monitor is sensitive to the vertical viewing angle. It's fine when viewed from the side, but if you're standing and looking down at it, the images lose contrast. If you view from a lower angle, the contrast gets very high. So, to get the optimal image quality, you need to be positioned so that the monitor is vertical and right in front of you. That brings me to the second issue, which is that the monitor has no tilt adjustment. This is even more significant given the monitor's sensitivity to its vertical positioning. So, if the monitor wasn't so sensitive to the vertical viewing angle, the absence of a tilt feature would be of minimal significance, And if it did have a tilt feature, that would make the vertical positioning less of an issue. For most applications, this shortcoming is not a big deal, but I do a lot of photo editing, so I have to be very careful of how I'm viewing the monitor when making adjustments.

Who wouldn’t want the ability to have four monitors in the space of one? This monitor gives everything you could want. The text is crisp, the colors are reasonably accurate, and even in a 28 inch package it is a very usable monitor at full resolution.

Awesome 4K monitor for gaming good response time and clarity. I have 4 monitors and this one is my main monitor.

I stopped by BestBuy in the week of thanksgiving and I couldn't believe they had a decent 4K monitor on discount at the $250-300 price range. I read some negative reviews about the stand being wobbly and some problems with power saving but I bought it anyway to try it. Now I regret not buying two of them at that price! I haven't had any problems at all. I can't believe I waited so long to have a 4K monitor. Now I can't go back to HD. Make sure to use the right DisplayPort or HDMI for 4K. The included cables are probably fine but I had to buy extras for different connector types.

Paired this with my Xbox One X and it has been spectacular. Great picture, color and response time. Can’t go wrong with this one.

looking for upgrade monitor and wanted to try UHD 4K. Know samsung with great name for TV. Have been totally pleased with quality and sharpness of picture and integration with computer. Great video clarity with amazon, you tube, still pictures

I was looking for a new monitor for an extension to my laptop computer. I am a computer autocad designer and I spend a lot of time looking into monitors. This monitor is very easy on my eyes and is very well defined with the picture quality.

Great quality and response time but why are there no built in speakers? Even small ones would do. But I added some anyways and now I love it even more

The monitor extremely bright and the quality is as good as an Apple Cinema display. The only down side is the it doesn't have speakers built in.

High end monitor just does not really describe the pure visual ecstasy when paired with a graphics card that can flex all its muscle and bring this monitor to life! Worth every penny. Just sayin

I had to buy a 4K monitor to get an external monitor that would work consistently and accurately with my Surface Book, which has a 3000x2000 resolution. Aside from being annoyed at that, it was an excellent decision. The picture is very nice.

In terms of image quality when comparing the colors to my iMac colors are a little more washed out and not as accurate. When not looking at it side by side with the better screen in the iMac the image quality is not bad so I'd say overall that this is of acceptable quality for the price. Plus with patience the settings can be adjusted to make it closer. The display is sharp responsive. I'm not witnessing any backlight bleeding on the corners or bottom edge. This display is a 60Hz monitor which makes it easier to drive the monitor but even with a 5930K and a GTX 1080 I can't get to max settings 60 frames per second (FPS) at 4K on games like Witcher 3. I can get get in the range of 40 to 58 FPS. I mention this only to set the expectation that if you buy this monitor you will need very fast graphics cards. I find myself thinking I will need a second GTX 1080 to hit max settings at 4K at 60FPS. If you don't have as beefy of a gaming machine this monitor does still look very nice at 1440P for gaming and two GTX 970 cards in SLI do a very nice job at that resolution.

I got this for work. I do a LOT of web and graphic design and this monitor offers a TON of screen space for my software. Great screen the price was right too. In the future I'm sure it'll make a great gaming monitor too.

I would recommend this monitor to anyone who is looking for a 4K computer monitor -- but please be aware of 2 factors: (1) no speakers (I knew this but it's more of a negative than I thought because I have lost the flexibility); and, (2) no height adjustment. I know many monitors have no height adjustment but its still a small negative. If even one of these factors had been present I would give it a 5-star rating. It's a very good monitor. Also, please make certain that your graphics card can support 3840 x 2160 resolution. Mine did and I had already verified that before buying. One warning: 3840 x 2160 makes for very small print, icons, etc. on the screen. You can pack a lot of windows into it, but they can be kind of hard to read. Fortunately (at least with my graphics card) I have several other alternatives for certain situations where I can change the resolution to make it more readable (but not get as much as the screen at one time). Still...a great monitor and runs very cool!
