I wanted a PC to wirelessly access a USB drive in another PC. The device does accomplish the goal, but awkwardly. The host computer sees the device just like any thumb drive. The external computer sees it in a browser as a web page which responds very slowly to read/write commands. Furthermore, it took some effort to figure out how to make the system work.

I was looking for a way to store documents, photos, movies etc that I could use when traveling with just my ipad. This fit the bill. Easy to use, good wireless connectivity and password protected. Now I have all my media with me without having to lug along a laptop. Great product.

My DSLR camera uses an SD card and will accept up to a 128Gb card. A microSD card adapter makes the micro SD card (included with the SanDisk flash drive) easy to use in my camera. I'm then able to put my latest photos into the SanDisk flash drive, turn on the wifi, and transfer selected photos fro my camera card to my iPhone...then use email or text for sharing the photos when wifi access is not readily available (within carrier data network) ...There is no longer a need to wait until I get back to my desktop or laptop computer card readers. Now there is also no need to carry that heavy laptop on vacation anymore...or wait/rent a hotel lobby machine. I am also able to store and stream my favorite music and videos (which can be easily stored on the SD card) to my phone for those airport delays. A word to the wise, though: The 32Gb flash drive will accept larger SD cards, but they must be reformatted to FAT32 (Directions, downloads, etc are available on the SanDisk website) and only accept file sizes less than 4Gb. After purchasing this 32GB flash drive, I followed it up by purchasing the 64Gb version...which accepts a 128Gb microSD card and will allow file sizes greater than 4Gb. Both drives are handy and work well. A review of your memory card needs and compatibilities would be a good idea before purchase. The flash drive charges easily and quickly and lasts long enough to watch videos and listen to music. It can be recharged using any USB charging device including a spare battery source.

Previously used a portable USB hard-drive. Most of the time this 32 GB stick can do whatever I need. I can store files via wireless connection between phone , android tablet and computer. or the stick can plug into tablet, or into computer. I can keep extra books or movies on it and move them via wifi to my tablet. Can download a file from web via 3G phone, move it to stick then move it to wifi only tablet. Portable, lasts a while (days) from charge, don't have to carry spare power supply or cables. Sandisk supports streaming from the stick but that uses more power and seemed to lag, due to speed of connection on tablet and speed to decompress codec. Easier to move to tablet first, then turn off stick.

Sets up in minutes, works FLAWLESSLY in transferring pics to and from my iPhone 6+ to ANY computer or other Wi-Fi connected smart phones.
Large capacity, fast data transfer, easy organization of files, long battery life, great led status indicators, and completely portable and simple to use!
Alien Technology for sure... a USB thumbdrive with built-in WiFi??? INCREDIBLE and AWSOME :-)
The fastest data transfer is obtained by connecting via Wi-Fi DIRECTLY to the chip using your smart phone. The USB data transfer method works BEST using PC's or USB compatible devices. Works AMAZING!!!

I jumped on this wireless flash drive when it was on sale and compounded the deal by applying a promo code I received from Student Deals. Which ever is on a better sale, buy it because here is a little trick to this Wireless Flash Drive. There is a flap on the side that carries the microSD card. That's right. You can swap out the memory cards. I've placed a 64GB and 128GB memory card in it; it has worked for both cards. This is a great piece to have so you can share files or even use it as a microSD card adapter in a pinch. Sure the transfer speed isn't that great but ti be able to expand it and share files makes it a great buy. I sort of wish the USB drive was shorter in length but then how would it sustain its battery life and sturdiness.

Truly a spacesaver and a lifesaver! This wireless drive is the best! I love taking pictures and videos with my phone and this drive makes that easy and affordable. Some people may say "Oh just move it to the cloud", that takes a considerable amount of data on your cellular plan. I work in I.T. and this drive is a very cool tool.

Ok so first things first. This product works like a champ with apple devices. Android.....not so much. I have an android phone (note 3) and an iPad 2. There is an app you download for each device, and you have to go to wifi settings and connect to the device. On the apple device it's easy and connects solidly. I mainly use this to store pdfs and movies. The app itself will not run the files but you can download the corresponding working app and can open the file through the proper app. You can also download a copy of the file to the device storage through the app. This has proven indespensible on my very limited on space iPad.
Now my phone. It just doesn't play very well. I can get it to connect but there are frequent disconnects. And sometimes my phone has a very hard time finding the device. Once i do get it connected it does work, but like i said a bitnof a hastle.
This seems to be the common issue with this device. Works awesome with apple and just gets by with android. I still recommend it though, wifi storage is a wonderful and convenient thing to have, even more so if you only carry apple devices.

I loaded up some movies and music. Plugged it into the SUV, now all the kids stream at the same time from this little library to their iPads and iPhones. Setup is super easy. I didn't even know such a cool thing existed! It's like a little media server. Unplug it and it lasts 4 hours at the park or at the soccer game. Great device! Plus you can add a bigger mini SD card for more storage, or additional storage.

I purchased this for an overseas trip where I knew I would have limited internet. I wanted to take only an iPhone -- no laptop -- but still take lots of photos and videos that would otherwise quickly use all the storage space on my iPhone. It worked great for this purpose. As soon as I shot a video, I wirelessly transferred it to the flash drive, then deleted it from my phone and was able to shoot several times the amount of video that would otherwise be available to store on my phone.
I knock off a star -- perhaps unfairly -- because I was under the impression from the product description that uploading other data from my phone to the flash drive was equally easy. It does not appear to be designed to work like that, however. Documents, for example, can be downloaded from a computer to the flash drive then wirelessly sent to your phone. But the reverse process is not available except for photos and videos. Or if it is, I haven't been able to figure out how to do it yet.

I hate how Apple still sells their stuff with only 16gb. Because of this, I never store anything on the iPad anymore. The 16gb is barely enough for all the apps I use (DJ apps, productivity, some games, etc.).
This thing allows me to access media and other documents without taking up any of the measly 16gb on my iPad.
I haven't done any battery run-down tests but I've only had this thing for a few days and I use it sparingly; still going strong. After playing with it a little, I noticed you can remove SD card that sits in it. I'm guessing the rest of the body houses the electronics to make it wifi-accessible and the actual memory part just takes up a small slot. This leads me to believe that while I bought the 32gb version, you may be able to get a 64gb or 128gb even and replace it. I haven't tried, but when I get a chance, I may tinker with that and see if it's feasible. If I do, I'll definitely update my review.
As is, this thing does what it says it does and does it well. No complaints here.

i did like the idea of the flash drive. So you can use it for iOS and Android. With a app it works. It was faster to use on iOS no lag. But it did not like all of the formats, where a android played most. I do like the more space idea for Apple.

Works great with my iPad for extra memory for pictures and movies. Fairly easy to use and has decent battery life. The only drawback is that it cannot broadcast while it is charging (or I haven't figured out how).

Found this on a daily special and I'm thrilled. Load up whatever you want movies tv shows a photo archive and don't over tax your space on your rablet phone or laptop. It hold plenty and easily connects via its own wifi to your device i used it on a 4.5 hour flight to Vegas with no probls. Highly recommend. Still want to try it to take photos in my camera and then move them for publication right from my phone. Pretty slick not needing a laptop.

I bought this for a couple of reasons. 1 - to back up pictures and videos when traveling and the device gets low on storage. For this it works great. The App is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. 2 - I wanted to be able to put movies that I rented on iTunes on it to watch on my iPad while traveling. Apparently the newer IOS does not allow that to happen which is very disappointing. Half the time, I can't even get a movie on my iPad because of the limited space. (drives me crazy that Apple does not use removable storage - separate issue, don't get me started). I have an older iPod Touch and this feature works, but who wants to watch movies on such a small screen! I hope Apple does an IOS update to fix this issue.

I bought this item to allow me to increase my storage capacity on both my iPad and my iPhone. With the Sandisk I am able to view files from my MacBook pro on both my portable Apple products. It is basically just a flash drive with WiFi capabilities--but it allows you to overcome the "gigabyte" limitations of Apple pads and phones. This product is useful for any iPad or iPhone user.

Have used it twice once in an air plane with 4 people streaming some sitting as much as 8 rows away and it worked great. Cut out a couple of times at the beginning but once it was connected worked flawlessly. Would def recommend for someone who wants extra space to stream movies to their iPad.

You can free up space on your iPhone. It stores the photos in the sandisk and can be easily sent back to your phone if needed. I took professional photos from a cd , ran on computer, plugged this in, loaded them to the sandisk and then to my iPhone which I posted on Facebook!

Overall I like this device. My studies and school have me working in a clinic setting where i cannot bring my laptop / books with me into various treatment rooms, patient intakes, etc... however, I can bring a small mobile device (Ipad mini, smartphone, tablet, etc...) The ease of being able to quickly find and add a file to my "device" that pertains to what I am dealing with in the clinic is nice. The fact that I can then put it back on the Sandisk instead of taking up room on my tablet is nice too. It also means I can pre-load the stick with a lot more information to access should I need it and just keep it in my pocket. The only thing I wish it could do was work wirelessly with my laptop and not need to be plugged in. Then I could quickly pop into the office, quickly upload or download something and rush back out without having to fish it out, plug it in, etc... BTW, it does have a pretty nice wireless range I've found which allows me to grant access to my colleagues so they can be looking at what I am during our shifts.
