I purchased this flash drive backup my pictures and documents as I do not like paying for cloud storage. I like having a physical copy in my hand. This flash drive is fast and works with my MacBook Pro as it is USBC and USB that work with my older non USBC computer. I also have the SanDisk flash drive that is Lighting port and USB to plug into my iPhone 13 Pro and works well with my MacBook Pro. I love the SanDisk flash drives it’s a win win for me….pictures of both drives below with adapter for use with older USBs.

Great product. This is the 4th purchased (my other 3 still work great). Files transfer quickly, even large files. I am easily able to bounce it between my iPad Pro to my PC to my MacBook and back to my iPad without any issues or delays. I wouldn’t suggest using it as a keychain despite it including the ability to do so. Mine disengaged somehow off my keys luckily in my car. Could have been user error of course.

This is a great little flash drive I keep on my keyring at all times. It's metal, so it's durable, jangling around in my pocket and has a nice sized capacity. And I love that it's dual USB C & "regular" USB. Very handy.

Convenient design, TERRIBLE performance! Not worth

Disappointed with the performance of this drive tremendously. Out of the package, plug into a Windows desktop it is formatted at FAT32-- No file bigger than 4GB can be written onto it. Terrible. Quick fix; just format it to exFAT so it can be used on most OS' and have no file limit. File transfers are SO SLOWWWW though that it makes this a chore to use. Moving 7 files, ranging from 1.85-4.5GB each in size, 19.5GB total, it took over 15 minutes to do! It started at around 64MB/s and after about 40 seconds TANKED and just lingered the rest of the way at 22-23.1MB/s. Unacceptable for a drive in 2021!I was using the USB-A side, into a USB 3.0 port, as I don't have a USB-C port on my case at the front and it was easier than reaching around back for the USB-C on rear of motherboard. Even still, old thumb drives I have had for over 5-6 years perform better than this one! The ONE single saving grace is the usefulness of having both USB-A and USB-C so you don't need to worry about adapters or dongles. The metal casing, while a premium touted feature, makes this drive very, very warm to the touch. Attached a cropped image of the transfer window, and this was about 9-10 minutes into a transfer after doing the format to exFAT to copy two files over 4GB in file size. The convenience of this may not be enough to overlook the absolutely terrible performance for a thumb drive, I may return it in a couple days. I'd rather get one that performs as it's advertised and I pay for, as I'm sure cheaper 3.0 USB drives will perform better than this. 2/5 for quality, as it's nice design, but gets warm to touch and the swivel isn't locking as smooth as I would imagine. 1/5 on value because performance is terrible in transferring files, and ease of use is 1/5 because out of the box it imposes file limits by being FAT32, and while it's an easy fix, I imagine not everyone knows to format it to exFAT out of the box as they will just plug it in and use as it is. Not recommended!

These little storage device is sleek and matches with the MacBook Pro. It has basically served as my external storage for undergrad and grad school. The dual feature of USB and USB-C heads is terrific and so useful for on the go. Great device.

Big dissapointment, avoid metal flash drives

It works and i have had no problem reading and writing files on it to this day but the build quality is terrible. This a pure metal flash drive yet i did not expect it to get so hot EVERY TIME I USE IT. Whether it be on my iPad or my mac-book or my PC, it always gets uncomfortably hot. Secondly, the rotating mechanism that lets you switch from USB C to A is held together by friction and not even screwed together in some way. I unplugged it from my iPad today and it got noticeably looser. As i was trying to find a way to fix it, i was able to separate the flash drive from the swivel mechanism. The metal frame also makes it slippery and hard to grip.

Upon opening the product and using it on my MacBook Pro it heated up within the 1st minute of just being used. Was happy to receive and use the product considering I won't be needing a extension to use a regular usb to save files. But I may have to go back to it since this product heats up so fast. The build of it feels nice and of good quality.

Love this sturdy little metal flash drive. The dual USB and USB type C makes it extra handy and will not become outdated any time soon. 128GB supplies lots of storage for photos or music files. Getting it for a fraction of the original price makes for a sweet deal!

Only missing a star on account of how small in storage space this drive wound up being for me - however, that was only in my personal experience. If this drive were to be used by a student or a person who has to move files from their phone to a backup drive or PC. I ultimately gave this to my wife as a means of copying photos from the phones of her friends or family members at social gatherings. The SanDisk Memory Zone app that needs to be downloaded in order to use the drive on a smartphone is very user-friendly and only needs two permissions in order to import files to your phone (such as music, documents, photos, or one or two vidoes depending on file size), or export files from your phone onto the drive. The transfer rate is pretty decent but for the size of the files I was attempting to transfer, the size storage was just a little annoying in that, at 128 GB of storage, it fills up quite fast. Again, this was just in my personal experience as I use my Camera settings on my phone to be at high resolution. However, if you transfer / store smaller files this drive can absolutely come in handy. Overall, this drive was still useful enough that it convinced me to get another similar drive only with a higher storage capacity. Worth the buy if you prefer to keep your files personal when moving them from one device to another instead of, say, cloud storage (which I'm just not a fan of, personally).
